Study of quarternary Ni-base alloys
Picha, R. ; Buršík, Jiří ; Brož, P.
Phase structure of Ni-Al-Cr-Ti and Ni-Al-Cr-Ta alloys was studied at 1000 and 1100C by means of analytical electron microscopy. The coexistence of phases, their compositions and phase ratios in studied alloys showed good agreement with calculations.
Study of influence of discharge parameters on mechanical properties of plasma treated surfaces
Buršíková, V. ; Zajíčková, L. ; Buršík, Jiří ; Janča, J.
Several different types of intermediate layers between the polycarbonate substrate and the plasma deposited hard SiOx-like protective coating have been studied. By the help of an optimized fracture resistant intermediate multilayer system and hard SiOx-like protective coating the original PC surface hardness was increased by almost two orders of magnitude.
Simulated element redistributions in Ni-based superalloys weldments
Brož, P. ; Buršík, Jiří ; Sopoušek, J. ; Picha, R.
The diffusion and phase precipitation processes in welded joints of pure Al-Cr-Ni system and low alloyed Al-Cr-Ni-X systems (where X means Co, W, or Ti) were simulated using CALPHAD method and DICTRA software. The equilibrium calculations allowed to predict phase diagram cross-sections for the Al-Cr-Ni-X systems. The performed simulations based on local equilibrium condition in diffusion couple enabled to describe the phase transformation process and obtain redistribution of alloying species, activity profiles, and other time-distance dependences for other relevant values in diffusion-affected zone of the Al-Cr-Ni / Al-Cr-Ni-X weldments.
Precipitation of Secondary Phases in Power Plant Steels Studied by STEM
Buršík, Jiří ; Svoboda, Milan ; Fejfarová, Ivana
Secondary phase precipitates in CSN 42 2740 and 42 2747 steels were studied by means of analytical transmission electron microscopy. The composition of primary VC and M7C3 precipitates was found relatively stable throughout the time series and less sensitive to nominal alloy composition (differin principally in Mo and W content for the two studied alloys) compared to the secondary VC and Mo2C precipitates.
The effect of thermal treatment on the microstructure of plasma sprayed coatings
Matyáš, V. ; Buršík, Jiří
Several types of plasma sprayed protective coatings on Ni-based substrates were studied in the as-deposited state and after long term annealing at 1173 and 1273 K by means of analytical electron microscopy. The microstructure changes were detected and quantified.
Plasma sprayed protective coatings studied by analytical electron microscopy
Matyáš, V. ; Buršík, Jiří
The formation of Al-rich phase dominates the microstructural changes at the interface of plasma sprayed protective coatings on Ni-based substrates during long term annealing at 1173 and 1273 K. Other changes in coating microstructure were detected and quantified by means of analytical electron microscopy.
Study of phase equilibria in Al-Cr-Ni-W and Al-Cr-Ni-Co alloys
Picha, R. ; Buršík, Jiří ; Brož, P.
The quaternary systems Ni-Al-Cr-W and Ni-Al-Cr-Co were studied after long term annealing at 1173 K by means of analytical electron microscopy. The experimentally obtained quantitative parameters were used for thermodynamic modelling of phase equilibria using software Thermocalc.
Study and modelling of the gamma and gamma prime phase equilibrium in Ni-Al-Cr-Co system
Brož, P. ; Buršík, Jiří ; Picha, R.
Several alloys of Ni-Al-Cr-Co system with constant Ni content of 70 at. % were studied after long term annealing at 1173 and 1273 K by means of analytical electron microscopy. The quantitative structural parameters showed good agreement with calculated data obtained by means of the software Thermocalc. Optimization of some thermodynamic parameters was performed.
TEM study of the P phase in model Ni-based alloys
Buršík, Jiří
A microstructure of Ni-Al-Cr-Mo alloys was studied by means of analytical and high resolution TEM. The changes in grain boundary regions during annealing at 873 K include the growth of ordered domains and the precipitation of topologically close packed P phase, which typically exists in a narrow compositional range in Ni-Cr-Mo system.
