Death - from ZZS (First - aid service) staffer's point of view

This bachelor work is about complete evaluation of death from the medical first- aid service worker's point of view. It concentrates on determination of feelings hierarchy of the medical first - aid service worker during meeting with the death, during patient's death subsiding, furthermore it concentrates on aggression as a reaction to the death from the survivors' side and on the medical first - aid service workers' attitude towards their own mortality. A qualitative part and a quantitative anonymous experimental part are the ground of this work. I evaluated two different types of death, that have an influence on mental state of the medical first- aid workers, by means of two case studies in the qualitative part. I made evaluation immediately after an acute stressful situation and later on after about a half of a year.I evaluated perception of death by the first - aid service worker in the quantitative experimental part by means of an anonymous question-form. My testing sample consists of these first - aid service workers - namely a driver, a driver - rescuer, a medical rescue worker, a nurse with PPS - ARIP, IP. Within the framework of my bachelor work I addressed 110 respondents who gave me back 108 properly filled question-forms.
Multicultural nursing and spirituality of religion in nursing practice

v AJ: The Bachelor's dissertation treats of individual specifications of cultural and religious groups. To description of customs of each immigraton's groups living in The Czech republic is dedicating theoretical part of this labour. I have described cultural and spiritual customs with focus on areas that could be crucial in nursing care. The habits of Vietnamese, Russians, Ukrainians but also Christians, Jews and Muslims are described. The first part of research section of Bachelor's dissertation is attending views of non-doctors staff in Pardubická krajská nemocnice, a.s. to foreigners and try to map this questions. Is finding willingness to fulfil particular requirements of foreigners and pursuit for additional education. The second part of research section of Bachelor's dissertation presents interview with Mongolian woman. It looks on access of non--doctors staff by foreigner's eyes. This research metod has been focused on detecting deficiencies of non-doctors staff and effort to identify trouble situations as well. The conclusion is dedicated to all-round summary and possible steps which resulting from quoted facts. The theory of communication with foreigners in nursing process

Bachelor thesis disserts on basic conceptions connected with communication in a plain field, related to communication with foreigners, multicultural themes and conceptions applicable to a labour. This thesis also deals with specifics of a nursing care for mothers - foreigners and there is a conceptual model of Madeleine Leininger mentioned there. There is information about Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Nigerian culture, religion and characteristics of those national minorities included in this thesis. Integral part of Bachelor thesis is qualitative research solution, focused on communication, language skills and understanding of the problem and approach to the clients - foreigners with regard to nursing care during the labour. Communication with the patients with aphasia

The Bachelor thesis deals with communication with patient affected by aphasia. The first chapter of the theoretical part focuses on definitions of verbal and nonverbal communication, on communication in the nursing process and communication disorder. Then the thesis deals with communication problems with patients with special needs, augmentative and alternative communication. The content of the second chapter is aphasia solely. It explains the causes, describing symptomatology, classification, basic diagnostics and therapy. An integral part of the Bachelor thesis is a quantitative investigative research focused on the level of communication between health professionals and aphatic clients mainly. The 89 examined samples are paramedics working in the selected departments of a North Bohemia district health care facility. The hypothesis are set and analysis of their results are performed in this thesis. It was also described a case study for the hearing impaired aphatic client focused on solving his communication. Pursuant to the survey here are summarized evidences and the educational material for health professionals was developed.
The notions of health care professionals and the general public about dignified dying

The dissertation thesis deals with problems associated with dignified dying from the perspective of nurses and general public. In the theoretical part one can see the summarization of current knowledge pertaining to the subject. The concept of death, models of dying and the options of how to provide care for the dying are also discussed here. Furthermore, the thesis touches on the issue of euthanasia and the care of accompanying staff. The empirical part is represented by quantitative assesment of results, which were gathered from respondents' answers to 16 questions in a submitted questionnaire. The studied sample consisted of nurses employed at The hospital of Královské Vinohrady's internal department and the random selection of respondents from general public.
Communication with hospitalized seniors

The aim of thesis is to determine, what are the problems in communication with hospitalized elderly medical people. It consists of theoretic and empiric parts. The theoretic one includes: general communication, communication with patient, age and the elderly, communication with seniors and the old sick man. In the empiric part I have found the problems, differences in communication between groups of health professionals. For this research I used the original questionnaire. I discovered small differences in communication with patients between nurses, orderlies, and between younger and older workers. It confirmed that the lack of time is the biggest problem in communication with the patient to the nurses.

A violance in medical departments and ways to solve the problem Key words: physical force, verbal assault, aggression, patient, health workers, factors contributing to the violance at the workplace, measures to reduce the violance at the workplace. We have been meeting the term violance more frequently during the last few years. There is no doubt that violance at the medical departments is a very serious problem with a possible health and, moreover, social and economic sequels. I focused on the problem of violance in the theoretical part of my work ( especially on types and possible risk factors of an aggressive behavior, possible attitudes to the aggressor, immediate reactions and cosequences of violance to the victim ). Empirical research is based on analysis of the daily press articles informing about attacked health workers and on mapping of violance in the departments of the Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady. The results of investigation show not only the departments with a higher risk of the encountered violance, but also the type of aggressor and victim. The conclusion of empirical investigation is paid to the safety measures, which lead to the reducing of the violance rate at the departments of Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady.
