Analysis of IPO in Central Europe

Thesis "Analysis of IPO in Central Europe" is focused on IPO issue in Central European region, with emphasis on the Czech Republic. The beginning of the thesis deals with characteristics of IPO, followed by a division of IPOs in primary and secondary issues. The third part explores the causes of differences between the number of IPO on the Prague and Warsaw Stock Exchange. In the last section is located analysis of the relation between number of IPOs and gross domestic product in Central Europe.

The bachelor thesis deals with financial analysis of a made-to-order company working in the branch of Water Projects and Water Management. The application part of the thesis where theoretical methods are applied contains description of the company and a market development, horizontal and vertical analysis of a balance sheet and a profit & loss statement, ratio analysis, bancrupcy model for analyzing financial health and a planning part. A sample of current competition is used for comparison. The aim of this thesis is to analyse current financial state of HYDROPROJEKT CZ a.s., find out and predict possible problems and outline the short-term financial plan.

This bachelor thesis is focusing on the financial analysis of Budějovický Budvar, n. p. and the company's financial economy during the terms of 2005 and 2009. The first part of the thesis begins with a description of the methodology. In the second part, is an introduction of the company followed by a financial analysis of the company. The calculated values of financial indicators are compared, with both values of the relevant industry and its two main competitors; Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. and Pivovary Staropramen, a. s. Included in the second part, is a SWOT analysis, and finishing with a conclusion where the results are summarized and assessed.

This bachelor's thesis describes financial position of three companies which are Měšťanský pivovar Strakonice a.s., Měšťanský pivovar v Poličce a.s. and Měšťanský pivovar Havlíčkův Brod a.s.. The thesis is divided in two parts -- methodical where procedure of financial analysis is defined and practical which contains financial analyses of three companies and comparison of these companies with other companies from the same industrial section.

Financial analysis of IBM

The purpose of this thesis on the subject "Financial Analysis of IBM" is to analyze the financial situation of IBM Corporation and its subsidiary IBM Česká republika, s.r.o. with gradual finding answers to the question of what proportion involved the daughter on her mother's financial results. The paper has a logical sequence. After an introductory section follows the part, where financial analysis, its meaning and benefits, are defined, however primarily is determined the selected methodology. The second part begins with the introduction of the both companies and then already starts the financial analysis based on the procedure specified in the first part. The main tools supporting the analysis are the analysis of financial statements, the investigation throughout ratios and comprehensive assessment of selected models. Conclusion then summarizes the results of the investigation and respond to issues raised in the introduction.

Meaning of debts in the capital structure of czech companies

The goal of this thesis is the analysis of indebtedness in czech industrial companies. I try to describe the situation in particular sectors during years 2001 - 2008. The important part of this thesis is statistical chapter. There I look for relations among economic factors and also create the simple regression model. I found out the positive change of ratios, however in the year 2008 the financial crisis influenced the czech economy, which had the impact on particular sectors. I proved that the correlation between return on assets and debt ratio exists and also the model for the estimated interest rate works.

Investment in equities from the point of view of a beginning investor - natural person

The main focus of this thesis is to deliver the basic information for starting investors. In the first part, there is a general characterization of equities as well as a description of disadvantages arising from the ownership. Other chapters deal with an investment strategy concerning the efficiency, risk and diversification. Data collection, investment horizon, inflation together with other fundamental indicators and their influence on investment decisions constitute the second half of the thesis. The last two chapters I devoted to comparison of financial brokers and links to current values of other important indicators.

Investment in stock from the point of view of a small beginner investor

The purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to check the possibilities of investing in stock in the Czech capital market from the point of view of a small beginner investor. The Thesis in its first theoretical part describes capital market, its characteristics and important terms in this area. Next part is focused above all on characteristics of the investment itself. Advantages, disadvantages and risks connected with investment in stock are described and explained here. The third part is practical. In this part three different investment portfolios are gradually compiled. These portfolios stem from the methods mentioned in the second chapter and the profits, which each portfolio would have brought in 2009, are always counted. In the final part pieces of knowledge obtained in the practical part are summarized and the investment as a whole is evaluated.
