Utilization of MHP platform in DVB-T
Janík, Lukáš ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Kohoutek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis solves the problem of digital television and set-top boxes, more precisely MHP platform and its use in DVB-T. In the first chapters I talk about analogue terrestrial broadcasting and necessity of transition to digital broadcasting. In addition, you can read about the necessity of the MHP platform implementation as the stable part of the DVB-T. I analyse this platform and describe the pros, cons and possibilities for its use at presen and in the future. I mention the different types of set-top boxes and their main manufacturers. I also describe an application development cycle, from writing the source code, despite testing in the development environment of IRT, respectively Osmosys, until loading to the real set-topbox. I also represent here the practical part of my bachelor‘s thesis, which was the development of chat client for the MHP platform and it allows two users to communicate in real time. This application I tested in the IRT and I uploaded it to the real set-top box. Next I analyze Java programming language, such as the appropriate development language for this platform. I mention the HAVi standard and its relevancy in usage of MHP platform.
Design and realization of Tribometer control
Power line data transfer
Ryška, Aleš ; Janík, Lukáš (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with powerline communication and application its use in headlamp. In thesis are compared various commercial available solutions, especially the Qualcomm QCA7000 modem. Furthermore, the work deals with the design and the prototype for exploring the applicability of the existing wiring in automobile. The aim of the thesis is to construct a prototype that allows the communication with the front lamp of the car via the power line.
Business Plan for Start of a Small Business
Janík, Lukáš ; Říhová, Lenka (referee) ; Vaškovičová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis discusses the process of establishing a small business. The theoretical part is focused mainly on literature search. Furthermore, there are explained basic principles of the business. The practical part presents a concrete plan to set up small business, based on the current situation and analysis.
LED optimised control systems
Petra-Kajňák, Daniel ; Janík, Lukáš (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
The paper discusses a design of a matrix LED display for car rear combination lamps and its power supply. It provides basic information about converters, light, and electronics requirements in the automotive industry. The design of individual circuits, printed circuit board, and firmware are analyzed. Predefined animations have safety, practical, and design functions. The innovative solution presents a new level of communication between the vehicle and its environment. The purpose is to increase safety and improve traffic flow.
Retro-Reflective VLC For Internet Of Things
Janik, Lukas
This article aims at utilization of retro-reflective Visible Light Communication (VLC) in Internet of Things (IoT). VLC presents great potential in terms of possible communication bandwidth, transmitter localization, spectral, power and spatial efficiency and more. In the article, the basic retroreflective communication itself is introduced and compared to common VLC and RFID systems. The power balance is explained, with emphasis on crucial parameters of the link. The final part discusses motivation for use of retro-reflective communication in IoT.
Advanced modulation techniques for optical wireless communications
Šmída, Marek ; Janík, Lukáš (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with modulations for optical wireless communications. Different types of modulations used in optical wireless communications are analyzed. The bachelor thesis discusses the implementing modulation techniques with the GNU Radio development environment. The bachelor thesis also analyzed error performace of modulation techniques.

DC-DC converter for matrix controller system for LED
Gociek, Krzysztof ; Janík, Lukáš (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design and subsequent realization of DC / DC converter for supply of matrix LED fields for the automotive industry. Such a converter must be able to supply a current of several Amperes and a voltage of the order of tens of Volts. Matrix headlights are currently being developed by a number of automotive companies. These headlamps allow independently to control the intensity of light incident on different objects or people who are in front of a car. In addition to the front headlamps the matrix LED lights are also used in the rear and signaling lights. Here it serves mainly to create different animations that have no function except the overall enhancement appearance of the vehicle. All of these lights need power units that will be suitable to regulate current flowing into various combinations of LEDs illuminated.
