Chemicals for waste water treatment
Doskočilová, Denisa ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to get the reader acquainted first with the history of wastewater treatment in the Czech Republic and also the legislation that relates to waste water treatment. Furthermore, this work will provide an overview of each part of technological wastewater treatment plants and chemicals that can be used in various cases, including their manufacturers and prices. In the practical part there will be conducted a calculation of the amount of coagulant including its annual costs for WWTP Čebín. This material may be an inspiration for either design offices or water managing companies and also the general public.
Multicriteria flood analysis
Marková, Ivana ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the processing map multicriteria decision risk analysis on the basis of on available data in accordance with Directive 2007/60/ES and the methodology of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic in 2012 on the selected location in the river Dřevnice at kilometer 2,340 to 16,633.
Use of EIS method for determination of sedimentation in stady liquid
Hradilová, Iva ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Špano, Miroslav (advisor)
Determination of interface between sediment and liquid belongs to common tasks in various fields of industry like sewage and/or water treatment. The aim of presented work is verification of suitability of electrical impedance spectrometry (EIS) method for determination of interface between soil and water. The suitability was verified on three samples of soil. The first one was a sand while other two were loam of different grain sizes. Introduction of both the EIS method and Z-meter III instrument used for measurements is presented in this work too. Within conclusions the suitability of the method and provability in determination of water-soil interface are discussed.
Energetic optimisation of WWTP´s operation
Čížová, Veronika ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The reduction in energy consumption is nowadays of increasing importance also within the field of waste water treatment. In combination with increasing requirements for the WWTP (waste water treatment plant) outlet quality, the energy optimization becomes very challenging for the plants operators. This thesis presents possible approaches to the energy optimization and summarizes technologies and measures, where some of them are in the research phase while others are already implemented successfully. In particular, the contribution of the activation tanks aeration process to the overall energy consumption of a plant is highlighted. A change in the aeration control is tested using a mathematical model of WWTP in Mikulov, South Moravia in Czech Republic. In the new setting the aeration is regulated based on the concentration of nitrogen compounds in the activation tank. There is also a brief survey of the energy consumption of the plant and an outline of other possible energy conservation measures.
Drainage of waste water from the industrial area in Hulin city
Dohnal, Radek ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to implement the passport of sewer system installation, technical assessment and evaluation of the technical condition of the entire sewer network in the industrial area, along with focus and plotting the current leadership of the sewerage system. It was also developed a hydraulic model of the entire solution sewer system. In the second part of the study is a proposal for an appropriate treatment system of wastewater. It was also developed a hydraulic model of the entire solution sewer system. In the second part of the study is a proposal for an appropriate treatment system of wastewater. In conclusion there is a financial assessment and comparison of different variants cleaning system in terms of investment and operating costs.
Annual assessment the water treatment plant Dolní Věstonice
Kovář, Jan ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the annual assessment of trial operation of the wastewater treatment plant in Dolní Věstonice. Th e theoretical part focuses on ways wastewater services for municipalities sizes 2001 - 10 000 EO. The following are the most frequently observed indicators which are reported in the current legislation. The practical part is focused on describing the wastewater treatment plant and to assess its condition at the time of trial operation. Calculated parameters of volume and hydraulic loads are then compared with the original proposal in the project documentation. The values of substance loads are compared with current legislation on implementation of runoff. Below are caused failures and problems in the prior operation. A conclusion is determined by energy class watched cleaners in terms of energy consumption.
Study of sewerage and wastewater disposal municipality Větřní
Červenková, Martina ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with possible options for solving drainage in the village Větřní - Frymburk st. and School st. and adjacent villages Lužná, Dolní Němče and Dobrné. The first part describes the current state of sanitation of Větřní and its adjacent area. It also includes assessment of the condition of the current sewer system in the village Větřní, which is connected with some newly proposed sewerages. The following chapter deals with the technical description of the possible variants of the drainage sites including economic evaluation. Then there is a recommendation of choices of variant and evaluation of overall investment and operating costs. In conclusion of the chapter there are summarized advantages and disadvantages of variants of drainage.

Wastewater treatment plants for municipalities with gravitational inflow
Benešová, Irena ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis is aimed on description of wastewater treatment plant with gravitational inflow. Focus is on WWTP in the Czech Republic, particularly in the South Moravia region - in this aspect the thesis presents relevant statistics like the number of WWTP per region and the total, capacity of WWTP per region and their substance load on inflow /outflow. The recherche is also limited according to the core subject of theoretical part, which is technology of small WWTP in the category up to 2000 equivalent habitants. The experimental part presents comparsion of particular wastewater treatment plant of this category in the South Moravia region: one with gravitational inflow and one with inflow pump station. The examined wastewater treatment plant are compared according to substance load, hydraulic load and technology. Thesis is concluded with a review of the different operation parameters of the both types of WWTP.
