Waste heat recovery in a laundry care process

Main purpose of this thesis is to explain the issue of waste heat from broader point of view. It´s substantial part therefore deals with various available methods of waste heat utilization and their analysis. Large part of the thesis is devoted to description and usage of heat exchangers, heat pumps and thermal energy storage. The main theme of the thesis is the use of waste heat from industrial laundry room. It also introduces the process of the professional maintenance service along with its specifications and parameters of waste streams from washing machines. Main goal of the practical part of the thesis is to design equipment which could be used to store waste heat from washing machines. This equipment is designed to be used for specific process in NETME Centre laboratory. In conclusion, thesis addresses the propposed equipment from the energetical and economical point of view.

Legislative Protection of Results Arising from University-Industry Collaboration

The thesis deals with a legal protection of results of research and development activities, which runs in collaboration between a university and an industry partner. At the first part of the thesis basic terms are explained, related legislation is introduced and important institutions from the field of intellectual property rights are mentioned. The thesis also describes a legal status of the research and a development center, lists various ways of results protection and provides an introduction to contractual obligations. The technical part contains a calculation of energy and water consumption in the Laboratory of energy intensive processes. Finally, all information provided is used for a preparation of the collaboration agreement draft between the university and the partner from the application area.

Further analysis of the possibility of measuring the mobile network and how implement the measure. It also includes a draft program for measuring and evaluation of the GSM network with help several tests by a mobile phone connected through the Bluetooth.

On the basis of it is proposed several uses of combustion from microturbine. The final output of this work is financial balance for each of those uses, where can be seen return of the investment.

The second part deals in detail with selected technologies of household laundry care, and assesses their usefulness in the professional field.

This bachelor thesis is engaged in current state of uranium mining. It describes development of uranium mining on the area of the Czech Republic from the beginning to current state of mining. There are summarized current uranium reserves in the world, with the most important mining areas included. The treatment of uranium ore is described, with its influence on the environment and the remediation of affected mining area. In the last section, the possible ways of uranium usage in the future are mentioned.
