Designing and testing of low voltage switchgears
Kovář, Zdeněk ; Dostál, Lukáš (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
The thesis is focused on a temperature-rise of a low-voltage switchgear. The first part of the work deals with a technical standard related to the chosen topic, compares software used for designing switchgear in practice and familiarizes with the working environment of the software selected for this work. The main part of the work is dedicated to a measurement and a simulation of the temperature-rise of the low-voltage switchgear. The measurement involved testing of the switchgear with regard to the individual functional units and to the whole switchgear. Subsequently, the simulation of the temperature-rise of the switchgear followed. Software used in this work is SolidWorks Flow Simulation chosen due to a wide range of functions. According to the findings there were proposed adjustments of the switchgear with respect to the technical parameters and the economic aspect in the last part of the thesis.
The readiness of banks for the transition to digital banking
Šimek, David ; Stříteský, Václav (advisor) ; Vávra, Oldřich (referee)
The focus of this thesis is on the readiness of banks for the transition to digital banking. Its goal is to present current trends that influence development of retail banking, the definition of digital banking and design recommendations for banks for developing the business model based on the analysis of banks competitors, qualitative research with customers, workshop with bank employees and analysis of customers life which will leats to simplification of the life of the customer so that they are ready for the transition to digital banking which will enable them to increase customers loyalty and prevent a decrease in revenues.
Thermal overload trip unit in electrical switching devices
Marek, Stanislav ; Šimek, David (referee) ; Zelenka, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis revolves around a time dependent thermal overload trip unit inside automated switching mechanisms. The first part addresses the principle of the function of a thermal overcurrent trip unit and the possible construction solutions. The biggest emphasis is given to bimetal as a base construction feature of the thermal overcurrent trip unit. Besides the materials that are most suitable for the creation of bimetal, various bimetal parameters that are needed for its design are also analyzed. The next subject of the thesis is an introduction to the elemental calculations for the bimetal component and the summary of mathematical relations for the calculation of the most commonly used solutions. A predominant part of this thesis revolves around the theoretical calculation of the thermal overload trip in a previously estabilished circuit breaker for a specific type of the bimetal and a specific required tripping characteristic. The previously estabilished calculation is then verified by measuring. The measuring itself consists of the measurement of the free bending of the bimetal in dependence on heat. The last part of this thesis includes the assessment of the results calculated from the theoretical standpoint, compared with the results given by the measurement.
Effects of electrical current on contact pair
Píšala, Jan ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on the theoretical analysis of effects of electrical current on contact pair. An aim is showing of heat and strength phenomena, which are caused by electrical current, and their influence to contact and abrasion resistance. This phenomena are demonstrated on laboratory preparation for measurement of heating of contacts. In the end of this thesis is an evaluation of measurement and description of adjustments, which led to its improvement.
Electric arc heating
Kahoun, Karel ; Zelenka, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with an arc heating in industrial applications. In this paper, there is described laboratory equipment for the generation of electric arc. Thesis also contains theoretical analysis of heat transfer from the arc to nearby object. The main part of the thesis is devoted to experimental measurement of heat transfer from the arc to the nearby object in relation to the electrical power and the surface finish of the object.
Calculation and measurement of disconnecter temperature
Šimek, David ; Dohnal, Petr (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
Bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the theoretical analysis of heating of electrical wires, electrical contacts and current necking in electrical apparatus. This bachelor’s thesis contains complete practical calculation of disconnector. The main part of work is experimental measurement of disconnector warming. The thesis points on possible causes of deviations between calculated and measured values.
Reducing transformer inrush
Zoufalý, Marek ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
In this thesis is described the function and design of the transformer designed on ferromagnetic core, composed of transformer sheets. It is explained a transient inrush current of the transformer. In this work is inserted voltage and current waveforms, designed printed circuit board, serving to reduce the inrush current.
Effect of a switching arc on design of low voltage switchgear
Šimek, David ; Bartlová, Milada (referee) ; Aubrecht, Vladimír (advisor)
The first part of the master thesis is focused on theoretical analysis of the problems of diagnostics of an electric arc physical properties. In the thesis there is shown identification of spectral lines in experimentally measured electric arc spectra. The thesis deals also with energy balance of the arc. Next part of thesis is aimed to theoretical analysis of effects of electric arc on construction materials of low voltage electric apparatuses. The main part of thesis is devoted to experimental measurement of arc radial temperature changes, measurement of cathode temperature and research of electrical arc effect on selected construction materials of low voltage apparatuses.
Comparison of development of Gross Domestic Product in the European Union
Šimek, David ; Pavelka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čadík, Jindřich (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of development of gross domestic product in the European Union. The aim of the work then is to analyze the development of gross domestic product in the European Union from 1996 to 2011. Between 1996 and 2005 will be made general analysis of the impact and the main attention will be focused on the years 2006 to 2011. In the second section of the analysis will be compared gross value added of sectors by using the production approach of calculating Gross Domestic Product.
