Music therapy in kindergarten

This work deals with the subject of music therapy in a special kindergarten for the children with combined disabilities. In the theoretical part it clarifies the concept and principle of music therapy and characterizes the types of disabilities that occur at researched clients. As a research method were used observation and interviews with three music therapists from the institution. Timbre and Phonemic of Pre-school Children

This thesis deals with the timbre and phonemic hearing concerning kids with normal language development. It contains two main sections presenting a theoretical outline and a practical research part. The theory discussed opens the question of the phonemic and timbre hearing development with the preschool kids. I am considering current and previous educational materials familiarizing the reader with the timbre and phonemic hearing regarding the preschool kids. The practical part describes the objectives, methods, process and the results of the basic field research that checks the level of timbre and phonemic hearing at preschool children with normal speech development. The aim of this work is to establish a link between phonemic and timbre hearing. Music as a Significant Means for Speech Cultivation in Pre-School Children

This dissertation of an interdisciplinary character involves music education, music psychology, linguistics and special education. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author explains the term timbre from the musicological and linguistic perspective; characterizes timbre hearing as a musical hearing ability; introduces and compares timbre and phonemic hearing tests; describes the development of musicality and speech of pre-school children from an ontogenetic perspective, and emphasizes hearing atten- tion as a prerequisite for their advancement. The author also characterizes disruption of these abilities and describes reeducation therapies that involve elements of music education and mu- sic therapy. A field study described in the practical part of the thesis has a form of fundamental research and experiment. Research participants were 180 pre-school children. A field study is addressing the relationship between speech and musical manifestations of pre-school children with atypi- cal speech development. The aim of the experiment was to search for the most effective com- bination of music and language education with positive influence on both musicality and speech. Contemporary artistic-musical contexts of the preschool education in the field of pedagogical research

The thesis in theoretical layer deals with issues of pedagogical secondary schools, particularly in methodological approaches to preschool education. The author will focuses on this topic from the perspective of high-school of pedagogy teachers. She will elaborate on psychological characteristics of a preschool age child in the context of integration and polyaesthetization. She will characterise processes by which personal values are formed. She will deal with dynamics of contemporary changes of both society and family and with perception of education in kindergartens in the field of personality concept of education. The research will introduce opinions on contemporary needs of pedagogical practice and its reflection on professional pedagogical, scientific and academic grounds that will be ascertained through the means of interviews with teachers having a long-time experience with teaching at pedagogical high schools in the Czech Republic and by survey among secondary pedagogical school's students.

Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child. Musical dramatic suggestions for kindergarten and family cooperation

The thesis will provide suggestion for cooperation of a kindergarten and a family in contemporary life conditions by the means of authorial musical dramatic script. The diplomate will partially utilise results of her bachelor's thesis that she will elaborate theoretically, methodically and practically. She will carry out the pedagogical-psychological characteristics of a preschool age child from the point of view of his or her ethical profile and aesthetic feeling creation especially through the medium of project teaching. The practical part will consist of authorial script that the student will design as an integration of musical, dramatic and artistic activities in a creative cooperation of preschool age children, parents, grandparents and other contributors. The results of this thesis will be realised artistically and publicly. The diplomate will examine the efficacy of this artistic aesthetic aim by the means of analysis authorial script, surveys and interviews with actors and the audience.
Music and movement activities in the locomotion development of preschool children

ANNOTATION: This bachelor thesis deals with music and movement activities targeting the cultivation and refinement of certain types of locomotor movements of preschool children in kindergarten. Two stages of research monitors andevaluates learning the dance steps: march, side gallop, running and double hop-step. The research took place in a normal kindergarten classroom with children aged four to five years.
