Musical-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký and its application in pre-school education

The diploma thesis deals with musical-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký. The theoretical part is focused on the personality and music creation of Emil Hradecký and briefly characterizes the piano composition. Furthermore, the work focuses on the issues of musical development of a preschool child, describes musical activities and explains the musical-educational process from the Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education, MŠMT ČR. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey of kindergarten teachers, whose main aim is to find out the teachers' use of the music-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký in their pedagogical work. The partial goals map the subjective attitudes of kindergarten teachers to the inclusion of musical activities in practice and find out which specific music materials from E. Hradecky these teachers know and how they prefer to work with them. The next aim of the thesis is to design the model situations in which the piano miniatures of Emil Hradecký are used in kindergarten in musical and other aesthetic-educational activities. The recorder and its use by a teacher in kindergarten

The subject of this thesis is the use of recorders in the hands of teachers in the implementation of the entire spectrum of musical activities in kindergarten. The theoretical part outlines the history of the recorder and its types. This part contains the musical development of a child aged 3 to 6 and its musical skills and abilities in this area, according to the Framework Education Program for Preschool Education and the curriculum formerly used. It also includes information on how current secondary pedagogical schools and higher vocational school of pedagogical are engaged in the education of future kindergarten teachers as for playing the recorder. The practical part describes action research in order to create a clear description of several musical units verified in practice. The first phase of the research covers the preparation and implementation of activities already published Mgr. Milena Kmentová, Ph.D. and MgA. Eva Nevoralová with final revision. Further, I will deal with developing and testing my own lessons in practice again with final reflection.
Playing the recorder at elementary schools to prevent breathing defects

This thesis focuses on recorder playing as prevention of respiratory diseases and its significant impact on proper diaphragmatic breathing. The main goal is to monitor the effect of the active exercise on child players' health and analyzing the aspects of the recorder playing. The theoretical part describes the recorder's history and evolution as well as its therapeutic use, wind instrument in relation to musicotherapy and well-established breathing methods. This work also presents suitable literature related to the recorder, significant personalities connected with the recorder playing and healthy breathing methods propagators. The practical part introduces the implementation of pedagogical research that specializes in observation of skills and abilities of preschool and middle school kids improved by the recorder playing. It also shows the results of an experiment that monitored the effect of breathing exercises on breathing parameters progress within an authentic environment of elementary school music lessons.
Deepening of health principles and sanitary habits of pre-school children through musical activities

This Bachelor thesis will emphasize the importance of health principles and sanitary habits through for musical activities of pre-school children. As means of deepening of health principles and sanitary habits will be used both original songs and poems composed from three perspectives: psychological (adequacy in terms of the character of perception and level of psychological characteristics), artistic (adequacy of instrumentation and rhytmic-melodic structure in terms of possibilities of musical expression of pre-school children), and ethical (creating attitudes as relatively permanent values of a forming personality). The research will be carried out using a sample of 5 to 6 year-old children in an ordinary kindergarten participating in a musical performance. It will be evaluated based on empirical validation. The effectivity of the research will be deepened by observing children and interviews with the children's parents. At the end, the author of the thesis will summarize the most important experience and propose ideas for musical-pedagogical practice. Influence of the social environment on extracurricalar music education of children

This thesis deals with social environment, especially its influence on out-of-school musical education of children. The thesis also examines factors, that influence out-of- school education of children. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part the term of social environment and its possible influence on out-of- school musical education of children are defined and clarified. Different social groups, that children usually walks through in their lives, are described in individual chapters. Big attention is given to these social groups. In thesis problematics of influence of massmedia on children's musical development is delineate. The thesis also offer detailed list of institutions in which children have opportunity to musically educate themselves. The practical part consists of research of influence of social environment on out-of-school musical education of children and maps factors, that decide where children musically educate themselves, which musical instrument children play and also delineates problematics outlines of commuting to out-of-school music instititions. The research was realized in the form of questionnaire for parents of children, who study on three elementary art schools in cities, which significantly differ in size. Teaching play on the recorder in DDM

The diploma thesis focuses on the specific character of the general interest education, it also deals with a history of children's and youth's homes. It will concentrate mainly on teaching the flute playing with the main aim to find out the forms and methods of the teaching. The thesis includes also a questionnaire survey focusing on the organization of the Prague's DDMs. Senior teaching staff and lecturers will be addressed in order to find out the current status and professional level of teaching the musical instruments.
