The elite of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia on the pages of Rudé právo in 50s´ of 20th century .
STEHLÍK, Petr
This diploma thesis deals with a detailed analysis of the daily Rudé právo in 1951 - 1960. It is focused in detail on leading representatives of the Communist Party and their impact on the situation in the former Czechoslovakia in ´50s, as well as on significant events in this period. The work will consist in comparing the real facts and distorted facts about personalities and events of that time as they were presented by Rudé právo as the propaganda newspaper of the Communist Party. The main aim of the thesis is to make a reader aware of the impartiality of Rudé právo which played a dominant role in the former media scene and greatly influenced the general public who did not have the opportunity to compare information with other news. It is important as well to the reader understand how powerful the media had already been that time, when Rudé právo was able to significantly support a cult of personality mainly around Klement Gottwald and J. V. Stalin, when a reader had no opportunity to gain any information than what the governance of communist Czechoslovakia wanted to. Besides the already mentioned cults of personalities the work will deal with propaganda of communism, the Soviet Union and the anti-Americanism which was propagated mainly between 1950 - 1953 in almost every issue of the newspaper. After reading this thesis, the reader should understand the content of Rudé právo and its importance. He should realize that the main aim was to arouse belief of the citizens of Czechoslovakia that "Western world", especially the United States, is an enemy that wants to control the whole world and that its leaders are the aggressors and the enemies of peace. The Soviet Union and its leaders should then be the protection against so-called warmongers from the USA. Due to then lack of information it was very difficult for an average working Czechoslovak reader to know that the reality was quite the opposite.

Practical use of HTML 5 and CSS 3
Stehlík, Petr ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with two new languages, HTML 5 and CSS 3. They are probably the future of the Web as they contain many useful novelties, compared to their previous versions. At present both languages are still under the development, but they have already begun to be used in practice on the Web. The aim of this thesis was to find out the usability of HTML 5 and CSS 3 and to determine whether it is really worth to use them today. I worked it out by the theoretical research of languages possibilities and their application. To answer the question of functionality and usability of web sites written by these languages I compared their graphic design and functionality in different browsers. The result is that HTML 5 and CSS 3 can be effectively used today. There is only the question how to deal with the compatibility with older browsers. The fact that older browsers do not support new features can be bypassed by using different scripts. The bachelor thesis has theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I describe the most important features of HTML 5 and CSS 3. In the practical part I verify their usability.

Stehlík, Petr ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Mirvald, Michal (referee)
The aim of this work attempts to identify some causes of the current trend in household debt. The work presents its own model of debt financing. Subjects maximize their discounted utility, which depends on its consumption and debt financing in different time periods. Consumer and mortgage loans are analysed. Model simulates an inefficiency of any type of consumer debt financing, and allows benefits in certain situations in mortgage debt financing. These results are discussed in terms of model assumptions, and also from the perspective of some behavioral approaches to indebtedness. The findings are put into comparison with the current trend in the debt financing and identify the reasons, why the model is or is not equivalent to today's economic trends.
