Waste treatment and prevention in the KB-BLOK systém s.r.o

The bachelor thesis is focused on waste prevention in the company KB-BLOK s.r.o. where during the past 10 years by several technical changes in the production process, have been partly to prevent waste and significantly reduce the total volume of some wastes produced. The thesis captured the methods by which it was reached to reduce waste production, as well as statistics on the volume of waste production in the observed years and finally summarize and evaluate the benefits of the changes along with setting goals in other activities of the company.

Performance management in the selected company

This theme has been chosen due to the fact that the education and development of people within most companies is very discussed in these days. In recent years, when the market is still in crisis, the question is being solved whether to invest in education or not. If it is beneficial to reduce costs through a reduction in spending on education or if it pays off in the future to educate own employees and raise their motivation and loyalty to the company. For this reason, the diploma thesis examines the selected company operating on the Czech market. Describing its methods of management, education and remuneration of employees in the past and the present, and whether its internal and motivational tools are effective to employees. There is described and explained the effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of the management company in details and the nature of education as a way to improve performance and prosperity of the selected company. As a conclusion of this work the recommendations and advices for future developments in education and motivation which are based on the survey in selected company will follow.

Extracts from vermicomposts produced under different conditions

The main purpose of this study was to determine if aeration and extraction time influence on the properties of extracts produced under different conditions.
The leachates for our experiment were obtained from five different kinds of vermicompost (from horse manure, digestate, marc, apple pomace and from kitchen waste). Has always been prepared 1kg of vermikompost and using special extraction equipment for leaching in 9 liters of water. Attempt always proceeded 48 hours and at predetermined intervals, were taken control samples. Every 1h, 6h, 12h, 24h and 48h. The leachates were prepared in two variants. The first variant was without aeration at a constant temperature 30 °C and stirring 750 rpm. The second variant was with aeration at a constant temperature 30 °C and stirring 750 rpm.
In this work we are evaluated in terms of leachate contents of ammonium nitrogen(N-NH4+), nitrate nitrogen (NO3--N), total nitrogen, dissolved organic carbon (DOC). Analytical equipment placed on the apparatus measured the remaining variables evaluated in this work - pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen.
The leachates produced with aeration generally reached higher values than the leachates produced without aeration. This difference was only 6%. The highest increase during exgraction was the ammonium nitrogen in a variant with aeration. Other endpoints were higher by only a few percent .
The extraction time effect on the properties of extracts was clear. The highest rates of increase was in the first 24 hours, when values were rising most. The remaining 24 hours have had such importance. Time certainly had a great influence on the properties of the extracts, but the last 24 hours of leaching characteristics has not changed significantly, so it is not necessary to infuse for 48 hours.

The study of the Amazonian Pavilion

If we designed a building intended for people, we would be able to base it on many predetermined regulations and standards. The only remaining work would be a detailed literature study and creation itself. Constructing buildings for regular farm animal breeding would, in a simplified way, follow the same pattern. However, the ecosystem pavilion is a very particular space. It's a combination of animals, plants, people and various technical, operational, layout and stage design solutions.
Designing a tropical pavilion is a very complicated creation, requiring a coordination of various fields which need to find a way to cooperate. Therefore, the architect needs to work closely with zoologists, botanists, breeders and others, try to gain an insight into the animal farming issues and acquire the knowledge of trends in breeding and exposition practice.
The aim of the diploma thesis is to summarize the findings drawn from reference literature and to develop a comprehensive research which consists of historical development of menageries, continues to contemporary modern zoological garden and finally to ecosystem pavilion phenomenon. After this complex issue, we review the foundation data on the definition and characteristics of the territory supporting the pavilion study and we reflect on the principles of designing the ecosystem pavilion.
The project itself is a study of pavilion interior which represents a sector of Amazon ecosystem. We can simply say that it comprises living botanical and zoological collections of this habitat, which are supplemented by imitations of natural elements. It results in an almost perfect impression of the environment. In accordance with these basic principles, a philosophy of zoo exhibition concept is developed. A man and farmed species are put on a same level. The probability of a visitor to see the animal in the exhibition is the same as the chances of the animal to hide from unwelcome guests. This fact increases the ressemblance of the pavilion ecosystem visit to a real expedition into the countryside.

Influence of grain for milling on the quality of mill products

The thesis is concerned with evaluation influence attributes of mixture for milling quality of flour milling products. This thesis is divided on theoretical part, those is concerned on chemical composition of wheat. There are introduced influences for wheat quality and attributes of wheat flour. There are also described some methods of quality determination. Practical part describe methods of evaluation of qualitative parameters of wheat, from the wheat seed income to composition of mixture milling up to consequent values of wheat flour.

Statistical analysis of share prices development

The thesis is focused on analysis of monthly shares values of a defense company called Lockheed Martin. Thesis shows possibilities for the analysis of financial and non-financial indicators of the company, which could help to identify potential problems. First I will do the analysis of financial indicators of the company, which will be followed by a descriptive analysis of the development of share prices for the period from 2010 to 2015, which will seek to analyze the possible events that could lead to the movement of share value. In conclusion the prognosis will be drawn from the data using statistical software SAS 9.4 for the following months of 2016.

Evaluation of Apple Brand in the Czech republic

The thesis covers different approaches Apple is using to attract consumers.
The paper is divided in two parts. The theoretical part includes specific attributes that all together create the final brand image and it also describes the process of building of the relationship between the brand and its customers. In this part special attention is paid to marketing mix and advertisement.
At the beginning of the second, practical, part there is an analysis of different elements of Apple brand image together with description of application of different components of marketing mix in practice. In particular this part describes concrete characteristics that make Apple stand out in tough market competition. Moreover the researcher made a closed questionnaire that aims to describe the relationship between Apple and its users in Czech Republic.

Diploma thesis: ,,Satisfaction of users of social services and the scope of their providers in a selected region" focuses on finding satisfaction of users of social services in Prostějov. The theoretical part introduces the term satisfaction, users of social services, social services, and consequently social service providers to pass the practical part of the individual providers of social services in Prostějov and subsequent questionnaire survey, which is addressed to all users of social services. The interview method is given to the staff of social service providers. Upon detection of discontent social service users are treated suggestions for improvements in social services.

Development of selected indicators of living standards

The thesis is focused on statistical analysis of development of selected indicators of living standards: GDP per capita; the amount of net cash incomes of households; the amount of income each household types; average salary and retirement pension; the amount of net cash expenditure on food and non-alcoholic beverages and the amount of net cash expenditure on housing, water, energy and fuel in the period from 2000 to 2014. The theoretical part explains the important concepts related to the living of the population and households. In the practical part of the study was to help elementary characteristics of time series found that the development of selected indicators can be described as a growing trend. During the evaluation of development are also discussed factors influencing the indicators. For each indicator was subsequently selected individual function, which is to describe the development seemed most appropriate. The forecasts of possible future development of selected indicators of living standards showed that despite sporadic declines in their value will increase in 2015.

Fascioloides magna on ugulates in the Central Bohemia (Czech Republic)

In selected hunting grounds of Křivoklát area (Pustá seč and Nový Jáchymov) and Brdy (Komorsko and Plešivec) was detected the presence of giant liver flug (Fascioloides magna). The presence of giant liver flug was detected by using autopsy, respectively cutting the liver while gutting game. This method verified the presence of giant liver flug in red deer (Cervus elaphus) and fallow deer (Dama dama) occurring in hunting of Komorsko and Plešivec. The Giant liver flug was detected in a total of 40 pieces of red deer and 50 pieces of fallow deer, therefore in all game caught in hunting grounds in Brdy. The presence of giant liver flug was also verified in game caught in hunting grounds Pustá seč and Nový Jáchymov. There were a total of 60 red deer cought in these hunting grounds. However, no giant liver flug was detect in any of these deer.
