Sadness, anger, and acadea in Czech translations of apofthegmates and selected contemporary authors

The thesis works with Czech translation of apofthegmats - stories of fathers of desert. The thesis focuses on topic of sadness, anger and acedia. The thesis is based on apofthegmats and on the spirituality of desert. From this point of view the thesis makes analysis of the structure of pastoral work with sadness, anger and acedia. The thesis is following some actual authors who are working with spirituality of desert, too. Due to immanent dimension of spirituality of desert the thesis is reflecting psychological approach and refers to actual psychological methods which help a man to live with sadness, anger and acedia.
Conception of sacrifice in the film trilogy Matrix

This thesis elaborates the theological interpretation of the Matrix film trilogy. The focus of this paper is mainly on the theme of sacrifice which is presented in the trilogy. The theme is viewed from three theological levels, namely Christological, Trinitarian and eschatological. This thesis focuses on the film, its world, and how the concept of sacrifice develops in the movie trilogy. The structure of this paper is such that it starts with basic introduction of the Matrix movie, and introduction of the methodological foundations. Subsequently, the thesis follows with the main approach where the focus is on introducing the concept of sacrifice in theology. Given the introduction to the movie, the methods which we will use and introduction into the concepts of sacrifice in theological language, the work will be able to move on to the interpretation itself, in which, as mentioned above, it will focus on the three theological levels of Christology, Trinitology and eschatology. The paper aims to show that Matrix movie trilogy have the opportunity to answer questions in elementary theological dimensions. Ethics in Publishing in the Czech Republic

The thema of this bachelor's thesis is publishing ethics in the Czech republic. This issue has not been thoroughly worked out. In historical context, the attention was focused more likely on unauthorised reprints and copyrights infringement and - in Czechoslovakia between the world wars - on the publisher mission in the society. As has emerged from the interviews with publishers, everyone is guided by his own ethical code. We can distinguish publisher's personal/professional responsibility (technical quality), social responsobility (content of the book, acting on reader and society, relationship with internal and external employees and transcendental responsiblity (relationship to God). Nowadays, there is no unified publisher ethical code in the Czech republic. There are many situations in the practice which are perceived by some people as unethical, while other take them as part of their business. The target of this thesis is description of publishers' ethics through qualitative analysis of information drawn from the interviews with publishers (N=11) and their colleagues (N=17). The bachelor thesis entitled "God as Father in the Writings of Cardinal Tomáš Špidlík, SJ" provides a description and analysis of those writings of Cardinal Tomáš Špidlík,SJ that deal with God's Fatherhood. The introductory part contains a brief survey of Cardinal Špidlík's life and pays attention to his relationship with his own father. The subject of God's Fatherhood is structured in accordance with the spiritual theological katabatic description. First God Father is described as one of the three persons of the Holy Trinity. Then there is a description of Jesus Christ as the one who revealed God Father to us here on the Earth and also showed us how to turn to Him. The final part deals with an understanding of God Father as the perfect model for spiritual fatherhood. The method used is that of searching for facts in those of father Cardinal's texts that describe the above-mentioned subject and critical analysis of the facts.
Marian spirituality of Benedict XVI.

Working in its first part introduces the basic points of Marian spirituality. It shows her sources in the Old and New Testaments. The following are presented and analyzed its theological basis and are also compared various doctrinal truth doctrine of the Virgin Mary looking chosen saints of important theological figures with attitudes Joseph Ratzinger - Pope Benedict XVI. In the second half of the work is shown in the way he lived and understood Marian spirituality during his pontificate. The final section is intended to Benedict's thoughts, which are developed by individual elements of Marian devotion.
Asceticism of the East and West Christian tradition focused on evangelical counsels in the work of Tomas Cardinal Spidlik

The aim of the thesis is to compare the Eastern and Western Christian ascetic practices focused on obedience, chastity and poverty, i.e. the evangelical counsels, in the work of Cardinal Špidlík. It is exactly Špidlík's work that is a significant source for this subject. As an expert of the Eastern tradition and at the same time a member of the Jesuit order, Cardinal Špidlík, the theologian of the undivided Church, is very well familiar with both spiritualities. Subsequently I analyze the possibilities of layman to live according to these counsels, which is also a bonding line of the whole thesis. Last but not least, this thesis aims to reflect through secondary literature the Špidlík's concept of evangelical counsels and also the possibilities of laymen to live according these counsels. Spirituality of Psalms in the Context of Antonín Dvořák's Biblical Songs. The aim of this work is an introduction with general pieces of informations about psalms, about their primary theological scope, about spiritual world and spiritual aspects, because they in fact include the human life in all circumstances. Fundamental commission is to introduce musical work of the czech composer Antonín Dvořák (1841─1904) Biblical Songs. This work includes ten songs. Lyrics of these songs elected Antonín Dvořák himself from the Book of Psalms. This book is a part of the Old Testament. The psalms are not only a prayer of a person. The psalms are a perspective and a dialogue of person and God and the psalms make a relationship with God. Subject matter of this work will be to find a communication between a person and God and the reception of the words of God too. Very important in this case is the state of mind in thoughts and in emotional feelings. The emotional feelings and thoughts are a part of the composer's aith. Woman`s Spirituality in Pavel Evdokimov`s work

Title: Woman`s Spirituality in Pavel Evdokimov`s work The thesis is focused on the theme of how the author Pavel Evdokimov comprehends the question of womanhood. A significant role is namely given to two facts that also influenced Evdokimov`s life in a special way: they were both a very deep lifelong experience of Evdokimov`s personal relationship to a woman - thanks to his mother, then also thanks to his experience in his own marriage - and then his vocation of being a theologist/ theologian - layman, not forgetting that Pavel Evdokimov`s theological thinking springs from the Orthodox tradition, and only after a forced emigration to Western Europe it was gradually beginning to approach the western - namely catholic - theology and was becoming more ecumenical. In the thesis there are basically discussed following questions: In which way does the author present a woman? What is woman`s vocation like in the order of the Creation and Redemption? How is the vocation reflected in the very woman`s life, in her relationship to God, to man and to all the Creation?
Comparison of spirituality of Francis of Assisi and John Bosco

The aim of the thesis titled Comparison of the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi and John Bosco, is to find commonalities follow Jesus Christ at St. and St. John Bosco. Francis of Assisi.The work seeks to answer the question whether the charisma of John Bosco in his time, analogous to the charism of St. Francis of Assisi. If so, what particular aspect of Jesus' life is inspired and specifically how it passed on to his followers. Basic literature from which the work is based, as the memory of St. John Bosco written by him personally and his close associates, the statutes and rules of life Salesian Brothers, writings and biographies of St. Francis of Assisi, the Franciscan sources. Using the Personnel method and comparison in terms of whether there are consistent references to Holy Scripture and tradition, and specifically how at the time these links St. John Bosco and St. Francis of Assisi lived and fulfilling. Development of cultural landscape of Podmoklansko in the basin of the Cerhovka

The main aim of the thesis was to evaluate the development of the cul tural landscape of Podmoklansko (region) in the river basin of the Cerhovka. The area concerned was analyzed using the old maps, as well as aerial and satellite pictures of the area. The changes in various categories of land use were also evaluated. The ecological stability was quantitatively expressed by the coefficient of ecological stability. The development of the cultural landscape of Podmoklansko region was also compared with the general evolution of the Czech landscape since the 18th century. Based on field research, the ecological, eco-aesthetic a sacred function of the landscape was described.
