Experimental Evaluation of IEEE 802.11ac/ad Wireless Technology Properties
Jošťák, Matej ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Zeman, Kryštof (advisor)
This bachelor work is about experimental verification features of wireless network, with focused on high speed transfers. For measurement was chose standard IEEE 802.11ac/ad. In the theoretical part, we describe the Internet of Things and communications between devices, especially the M2M communication. Then in work follows the chronological description of standard IEEE 802.11. The practical part is about describing the used hardware, after which follow the detailed describe of theoretical and practical realization of application and measurements itself. The last part of work is about measured values, its evaluation and makes conclusions. In the inclosure are source codes of our applications and graphs.
Implementation of mechanisms ensuring “RAN Slicing” in the simulation tool Network Simulator 3
Motyčka, Jan ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Koláčková, Aneta (advisor)
This thesis deals with the topic of network slicing technology in 5G networks, mainly on the RAN part. In the theoretical part, basic principles of 5G network slicing in core network part and RAN part are presented. Practical part contains a simulation scenario created in NS3 simulator with LENA 5G module. Results of this simulation are presented and discussed with the emphasis on RAN slicing.
Application for Smart Meter Data Readout with Subsequent Sending to the Central Database
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Zeman, Kryštof (advisor)
This thesis explores new posibilities of using mobile devices, specificaly cell phones and tablets which support the USB OTG feature, to read data from smart electricity meters. To achieve this goal, an application for OS Android was developed in practical part of this thesis. This mobile application communicates with electricity meters via optical sensor serving as serial line and using the DLMS/COSEM standard. Acquired data are saved to a remote database for further use.
Molecular Communication in Nano-networks Utilizing Diffusion Process
Kupka, Lukáš ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on theoretical desription of diffusion-based molecular communication in nanonetworks, description of simulation framework N3Sim and building a model of nanocommunication in this simulator. Second part of thesis is focused on molecular communication based on electromagnetic waves. In this case simulator NS-3 and Nano-Sim module has been used. Practical part contains detail analysis of simulators adjustment and results of simulations. Simulations are performed with different settings in several scenarios. Their comparison and results is summarized in conclusion.
Data Processing of Captured Radio Parameters in LTE-A System
Kupka, Lukáš ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on an analysis of radio conditions of indoor LTE-A mobile networks. Measurements of the Huawei LTE-A radio access network were performed using the R&S TSMW spectral analyser. Results have been processed and discussed. The practical part of diploma thesis also consists of a development of a program for processing the data sets obtained from R&S TSMW spectral analyzer.
Security mechanisms of OS Android utilizing the Kotlin language
Rusting Away: An Ethnography of Totaled Cars, lnformality, Capitalism, Waste, and Sustainability at a Bohemian Auto Salvage Yard
Mašek, Pavel ; Sosna, Daniel (advisor)
Building upon my long-term ethnographic research at an informal auto salvage yard in Central Bohemia, this dissertation attempts to reveal that there are places that-albeit sustaining capitalism-correct the damage this globally prevailing politico-economic system causes, as these relatively marginalized places can reveal the hidden corners of one's own society. In addition to presenting and describing the everyday life of the workers at the auto salvage yard, wrapped in the context of the omnipresent mis/trust related to friendship, hostility, and knowledge "battles," I discuss the meaning of various greenwashing eco-slogans, which in reality seem more like a tired marketing ploy than a real solution to current environmental problems. I build on the theory of containers and combine it with the idea of the ecology and economy as non-mutually exclusive parts of originally one concept (oikonomia) to touch upon the idea of responsiveness concerning wasting and its shift towards the individual level and morality, and consequently, feelings of personal guilt. Based on the experience of salvage yard workers' creativity and skills, I attempt to reveal through the lens of the "quiet sustainability" concept- complemented with recent ideas on the practices of repair, maintenance, and care-that "greening" can...
Intelligent Energy Measurements for Homeowners' Association Using 5G Networks
Horčička, Patrik ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Theoretical analysis of IoT communication technologies LPWAN. A more detailed analysis of 5G-IoT technologies in the licensed frequency band, such as NB-IoT and LTE CatM. Comparison of different energy meters (Smartmeters). List of supported application protocols for IoT devices (MQTT, CoAP, LwM2M, DLMS/COSEM) with more detailed information about DLMS/COSEM. Quectel UMTS & LTE EVB kit with BG770A-GL module was used to create the first reference 5G-IoT device. Measuring of radio properties in two locations. Creation of TLS tunnel for communication between server and RPI designed for DLMS/COSEM data.

Secure odor neutralization system
Děcký, Martin ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Možný, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the neutralization of odour using ozone and the transfer of the acquired data to a web server. Based on the calculations, suitable components were selected to make the whole device maintenance free and the system was built. The sending of data to the server was dealt with HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) POST method. The assembled system should be able to function based on the collected and evaluated data, but it is not able to send the data to the server which is secured with the latest TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol.
