Information and Communication Technologies Supporting National Registers of Selected Diseases.
Hanzlíček, Petr ; Faltus, Václav ; Zvárová, Jana
In the courses, organized by the EuroMISE center, the attention is given to problems of health documentation keeping as well as the treatment of the data in the National health information system, including national health registers. The importance of structured form of electronic health documentation is demonstrated by the example of the National register of selected rheumatic inflammatory diseases and the pilot register of myocardial infarction.
Dobývání znalostí v medicínských datech ADAMEK
Rauch, Jan ; Serrano, J.I. ; Tomečková, Marie ; Zvárová, Jana
Problems and experience related to data mining in medical data ADAMEK are described. Data ADAMEK concerns 1122 cardiologic patients. The information collected for each patient is stored in 951 attributes. Pre-processing of data resulted into set of 180 attributes. After getting first experience in mining pre-processed data, a system of more than 70 analytical questions was defined. The analytical questions can be (at least partly) solved by students teams within education process at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of University of Economics, Prague. Paper summarizes first experience concerning this approach.
O vztazích mezi informacemi, entropiemi a bayesovskými rozhodnutímí
Vajda, Igor ; Zvárová, Jana
A class of power entropies is introduced which are concave functions of distributions for positive powers and convex for negative powers. It is shown that the maximal generalized informations are often convex power entropies. The quadratic power entropy is shown to estimate more precisely the Bayes errors than the Shannon entropy.
Models of information and knowledge for support of medical decision-making
Vajda, Igor ; Veselý, Arnošt ; Zvárová, Jana
Formalization of the concept of knowledge is discussed including the related concept of information in knowledge. Risk of decisions at a given level of information is studied. Statistical measures of uncertainty and association are applied in medical decision-making.
Využití komponent systému MUDRLite při sdílení dat elektronického zdravotního záznamu v stomatologii.
Špidlen, Josef ; Pieš, Martin ; Teuberová, Z. ; Nagy, Miroslav ; Hanzlíček, Petr ; Zvárová, Jana ; Dostálová, T.
The goal of the project named Information Technologies for Shared Health Care is the improvement of possibilities of sharing data between hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic health record (EHR) applications. Fulfilling it led to development of a pilot EHR system called MUDRLite EHR, that provides interfaces to include user-defined components. We applied these interfaces to a high-advanced component representing the dental cross - a crucial part of healthcare documentation in dental medicine.
Usage of International Nomenclatures and Metathesauruses in Shared Healthcare in the Czech Republic
Přečková, Petra ; Špidlen, Josef ; Zvárová, Jana
The article describes various metathesauruses and international nomenclatures used in health care. The focus is on the Unified Medical Language System, especially UMLS Metathesaurus. In our work we try to verify practical applicability of internationally used terminologies, thesauruses, ontologies, and classifications in attributes of the Minimal Data Model for Cardiology, in the Data Standard of Ministry of Health CR, and in several chosen modules of commercial hospital information systems.
Elektronický zdravotní záznam v kontinuální sdílené zdravotní péči
Hanzlíček, Petr ; Ďurovec, Ján ; Nagy, Miroslav ; Zvárová, Jana ; Špidlen, Josef
The project"Information technologies for development of continuous shared health care" deals with the development of the methods and technologies helping to ensure the continuous shared health care by creation of the unified system of electronic health documentation including the use of chip cards and security aspects. The technological solution will be based on the results of previous research in EuroMISE Centre, results of European research and international standards of health informatics.
Rozdíly v úmrtnosti mužů a žen na karcinom plic mohou souviset s faktory životního stylu.
Valenta, Zdeněk ; Holcátová, I. ; Slámová, A. ; Zvárová, Jana
Study identified several lifestyle-related risk factors for lung cancer incidence that appeared to reflect socio-economic changes in the post-Velvet Revolution Czech Republic. Observed association between lung cancer incidence and increased tomatoes and fresh vegetables consumption was an unexpected finding. Treatment for hypertension appeared to beneficially modify the effect of smoking. Gender differences in lung cancer mortality appeared to reflect gender-related lifestyle differences
