The Ritual at Successful Completion of Addiction Treatment in Therapeutic Community from the Perspective of Client

The aim of the work is to describe (using the observation) the rite after successfull finishing of the treatment of drug addiction in a therapeutic community and to find out how the client, who has finished the treatment this way, perceives this rite. The work directs particularly at what emotions he has experienced, if and how he has sensed his surroundings and the rite subjects used during the rite. The rites could be characterized as the ceremonial acts which have their rules and meaning. They satisfy needs of emotional experiences and the spirituality of the individual, they are connected to traditions of a specific community and the give to the individual a possibility to identify himself to the community.The therapeutic community uses a plentiful amount of rites, particularly because of the motives mentioned above. The research assemblage is formed by the client of the therapeutic community for drug addicted, who has finished the rite for the succesful finishing of his treatment. The use of adventure therapy in therapeutic communities in the Czech Republic

Background: Stressful programs should be part of every addiction treatment in certified therapeutic communities in the Czech Republic (Adameček et al., 2006). Nevšímal (Ed., 2007) writes about stressful programs in therapeutic communities. However, topic adventure therapy and its use in addiction treatment appears anywhere in Czech literature, so I would focus on it in my thesis. Objective: The aim of this study is to summarize available informations about adventure therapy (definition, history, characteristic features, etc.) and determine how therapeutic communities in the Czech Republic use adventure therapy in treatment of addictions, what are the views and attitudes of therapists who organize stressful programs, and what are the problems in organization of stressful programs. Methods: This is a qualitative research conducted using quastionnaires and semistructed interviews with experts who work in therapeutic communities in the Czech Republic. I used the frequency response analysis method and a simple enumeration. The research group consists of 7 respondets from 6 therapeutic communities and one respondent - Head of the Intensive Aftercare Program with protected housing. Analysis of implementation of governmental drug policy in Cheb region

The purpose of this thesis consists in describing and analyzing the state of implementation of anti-drug policy of the Government of the Czech Republic at the local level and in proposing possible measures to improve such state. Specifically, the Cheb region in Karlovy Vary Region is involved. In this bachelor's thesis, the anti-drug policy is described in its basic approaches, principles, international cooperation and institutional background and important documents. In the thesis, we also deal with the issue of the Czech drug scene, how and by which it was influenced, and how it was reflected in the anti-drug policy of the Czech Republic. It is later described in more detail in its coordination, strategy a respective documents. At the regional level, the thesis analyses the state of implementation of anti-drug policy of the Government of the Czech Republic, in particular with regard to its coordination and institutional background. Case study of a client included in methadone substitution programme

of bachelor thesis Keywords: methadone- susbstitution therapy- client- substitution programme-causes The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of client participation in the complete substitution treatment programme with methadone, which aims to demonstrate a positive effect not only on the client itself, but also on its vicinity. The theoretical part deals with methadone, its effects and the progressive placing into the treatment of addicted clients, firstly abroad and then in the Czech Republic. It deals with forms of treatment working in the Czech Republic with a detailed description of a complex substitution therapy. At the end of the theoretical part are discussed the causes of origin of an addiction on the addictive substances. The practical part is a case study of two clients - married couple, what describes in detail their life before the treatment, during the treatment and at her one year after the treatment, when she has been included in the substitution programme for ten years and is ending with a voluntary departure from the program with the zero dose of methadone - the client successfully abstains. Abstrakt Disertační práce prezentuje výsledky empirického šetření provedeného v roce 2009, jehož cílem byla identifikace stanovisek a perspektiv aktérů české drogové politiky týkajících se užívání nelegálních drog a souvisejících problémů. Práce vychází z teorie koalic aktérů, která je aplikována na drogovou politiku v České republice. Ta je spolu se stručnou analýzou rozsahu a závažnosti problému zasazena do kontextu vývoje drogových politik ve světě a EU a jsou popsány její prvky a aktéři. Empirické šetření aktérů bylo provedeno pomocí metody Q, která ve vzorku 24 účastníků identifikovala celkem tři nezávislé faktory reprezentující tři odlišné perspektivy.
