Software for Traffic Monitoring
Tesař, Filip ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection and tracking of moving objects in video sequences. The aim of this work is design and implementation of an application, which uses video sequence capturing car traffic to acquire statistical data about each vehicle, such as its speed estimate and determination of its lane. The proposed application uses background subtraction method 'Mixture of Gaussians' and enables monitoring of multiple locations at the same time using independent cameras. The output data are saved into database and users are allowed to display statistics in graphs through a simple web interface.
Non-Realistic Video Rendering
Širůček, Pavel ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals a with ways of non-realistic view of video. There are summarized video processing techniques in this document. The main focus is in painting techniques and video processing with these techniques. Individual operations and image-processing methods, to ensure coherence between video frames, are also mentioned here. The application for video processing, using the OpenCV library, is the part of the thesis.
Image Object Rcognition Using Android Platform
Šimon, Martin ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes an object recognition issue in connection with the Android mobile platform. It analyzes existing methods and procedures from the field of the object recognition as well as previous solutions of a similar topic. It builds on these basics and proposes a handy application which aspires to become a powerful assistant during mushroom picking. It considers the target device, which is memory and power limited, during the design and implementation phase. The results are evaluated by several experiments including an user experience. The implementation of the application itself is a part of this thesis.
3D Object Rendering into Real Environments Using Mobile Devices
Moving Persons Detection and Tracking
Johanová, Daniela ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the person detection using RGB-D Microsoft Kinect sensor. Human body detector is based on the method Combohod which uses both color and depth information from Kinect sensor. The aim of the thesis was to create a person detector whose functionality is demonstrated by proposing a statistical application that collects statistical information about the people who passed the shop window. At the end of the thesis the experiments with the detector under varios different conditions are described.
3D Scene Reconstruction from Images
Fuchsík, Ondřej ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with scene reconstruction from images using RGB--D senzo Microsoft Kinect. The aim of the work is to create model of the room in form of points from scanned data, from witch is created plan of the interior. A large part of the work deals with the point cloud registration, thus existing methods and their descriptions. Further, a projection of points on a plane and detection of edges in the obtained image are discussed. The work experimentally examines the influence of recording and the recorded environment on results.
Augmented User Interface
Zahrádka, Jiří ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis falls into a field of user interface design. It focuses on tangible user interfaces which utilize a camera and projector to augment physical objects with a digital information. It also includes description of calibration of those devices. The primary object of this thesis is the implementation of an augmented user interface for application windows management. The system consists of a stationary camera, overhead projector and movable tangible objects - boards. The boards are equipped with fiducial markers, in order to be tracked in a camera image. The projector displays the conventional desktop onto the table and the tangible objects. For example, application windows can be projected onto some boards, while the windows move and rotate simultaneously with the boards.
Parametric Geometry 3D Sketch Tool
Vala, Jan ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to introduce reader to 3D parametric construction tools and their application with dynamic geometry. Project introduces basic concepts of parametric construction in computer geometry, summary of the state of the art, description of selected parametric geometry software, evaluation of its features and design of 3D parametric geometry library for use in computer graphics followed by implementation of said library and user interface application for evaluation.
Theremin Simulation Using Leap Motion
Staurovský, Maroš ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the creation and implementation of application that simulates playing the theremin by using Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol. This sensor allows us to detect movement of hands and recognition of gestures in the monitored area. This is  used in the aplication to simulate the same principle that is used for playing theremin. Unlike this instrument we are able to produce sound of different instruments which is accomplished by using MIDI. The Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol are detailed in the theoretical part of the thesis.
Object Detection Using Kinect
Švec, Ján ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the object detection using Kinect. Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft company for the Xbox 360 video game console. The objective of this work was to evaluate the existing approaches and practices for the detection not only using the image from the camera but also depth map (RGB-D sensor). The work deals in details with RoboEarth tool, its installation, settings, creation of 3D model and the detection. Performance of the RoboEarth tool was in the work investigated experimentally and also evaluated.
