Relevance of career services for CEMS students for successful job-entry

The thesis aims at exploring what the role of career guidance services for CEMS students in their job search is, and at proposing a number of recommendations for further development of CEMS career services. First part of this thesis will provide us with a necessary theoretical background on career choice, career management and development, and career guidance. Then, CEMS and its current career services offer will be presented in brief. Finally, an analysis of a research that we have conducted within CEMS graduates community will enable us to formulate a number of recommendations for CEMS career services improvement.
The motivation of a teacher of elementary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the most motivation of the teachers from two elementary schools. The theoretical part is mainly concerned with motivation in general, but teachers' motivation and stimulation is also consulted. The research in the form of a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews is described in the methodology part of the paper. The practical part contains the investigations results and their interpretation. The aim of the thesis is to determine what most motivates teachers from two monitored elementary schools to perform their job with respect to the environment in these schools. The results of the survey in the two individual schools are compared.
Freedom and independence in business

The aim of the master thesis "Freedom and independence in business" is to find out the Czech entrepreneurs' (restaurant owners in Prague) attitude towards independence; how free and independent they do feel in business. In theoretical part there is defined the notion "business", there are also presented the characteristic features, dominated in the personalities of entrepreneurs. There are mentioned the factors and the motives those lead a person to starts his/her one business. In the following methodical part there is defined the aim of the thesis with the research question. Further there are formalized several hypothesis. The last, empirical part contains the description of the results its discussion. The work traditionally ends with conclusion.
Counterproductive work behaviour in organizations

This thesis deals with counterproductive work behaviour, which manifestations among Czech employees are examined by internationally accepted questionnaire. Thesis tries to find out the answer to original hypothesis whether Czech employees have increased tendency to such behaviour. This behaviour is later dividend to four kinds: sabotage the results of own work, illegal enrichment, mobbing and displays of aggression at workplace. Thesis uses segmentation of extensive sample of respondents using age, sex, education, number of subordinates, number of job changes to provide more detailed insight of Czech employee and by doing so, it reveals high-risk segment of employees with tendency to counterproductive work behaviour.
Mental hygiene in managerial practice

This diploma thesis focuses on problems of mental hygiene in the current managerial practices. The theoretical part reveals to readers basic concepts and background to this isme for more understanding. It deals gradually with the role of mental hygiene in an individual life, self-knowledge and selfmanagement, and last but not least, managerial practice. The main practical part presents three case studies, relating to mental hygiene and its application in the world of managers. Research objective is trough a semi-structured interviews with managers to identify to which extent they apply mental hygiene in personal and professional life. After the discovery of deficiencies will attempt to find concrete advice and recommendations needed to improve some of the monitored questions. Finally will be respondents collating and analyzing each other. The main contribution of this thesis is a real insight into the life of managers and the discovery of the importance and the role attributed to mental hygiene.
British managers' perception of the Czech employee

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to find out the cultural differences between Czech and British culture in the work place based on two researches, Geert Hofstede and Fonse Trompenaarse.Then in my practical part I focused on describing the British managers' opinion on a Czech employee within one company.
Identification of Soft Skills in Development Centre for Needs of Talent Management

The thesis analyses different methods of the soft skill identification. The focus of the work is a development center, with emphasis on talent selection and subsequent use of outputs for individual development plan for each participant. Various aspects and pitfalls of staff - selection and development described in the theoretical part are applied within development program of an analysed company. The practical part describes development center from a procedural point of view as well as in terms of different behavior of participants linked to their competences. Outcome of this work is description and quantification of progress of the soft skills essential for the profile of junior managers.
Analysis of the impact of training in the company XY

The main goal of main thesis is to analyze the impact of specific training course, which is focused on project management for employees of the company XY. I will focus on the analysis of one component of evaluating the effectiveness of training. This component examines whether there is a transfer of knowledge, understanding and taught practices in the common business practice. The work includes a theoretical part, which introduce the theory of corporate training, adult education and project management. In the methodological part is the specification of whole research process, including the research hypotheses. The following section summarizes the concrete results of the research.
Výzvy řízení lidí v MEMOS Software

Organically growing companies usually reach a point when people management starts to be challenging up to such scale that influences their further development. This master thesis in its first part covers basic topics essential for people management, especially communication, work motivation, job design and leadership. In the second part of this work is focus put on empiric research of a concrete situation inside the selected company, analyses of management interviews and employee questionnaires. The last part then presents a set of recommendations adjusted directly for the researched company in order to help improve current situation.
Business financial performance

The purpose of this thesis was to objectively appraise economical situation of company ABC spol. s r.o. and its´ financial performance for years 2003-2006 and to make conclusions about financial situation of the company. Matter of business activity of ABC spol. s r.o. is: goods purchase and its´ further sale and sale. Financial analysis and reliability and bankruptcy models were applied on a real existing company. Documents used as data source were: balance sheets and income statements from particular years. Theoretical part of the thesis characterizes financial performance and attitudes to its´ measuring, concrete methods for business performance measuring and usage of reliability and bankruptcy models. Practical part of the thesis includes calculation of financial analysis indicators (rentability, liquidity and indebtedness indicators) and application of chosen indexes of financial health (Z-Score, IN 95, Reliability index). The last part of the thesis includes interpretation of all calculations results and possible proposals for improving company financial performance and situation.
