Skin resist and psycho-galvanic reflex
Trávníčková, Hana ; Bubník, Karel (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to clarify the phenomenon called psychogalvanic reflex, describe mechanism of its origin, its affects and use in practice. It analyzes the structure of the skin and its properties in terms of conducting electrical current, describes the phenomenon itself and discusses the conditions for its measurement. The practical part is devoted to the concept and realization of a simple psychogalvanometer. This device is connected with PC and acquired signal is processed by LabView.
Electromyography
Svobodová, Eva ; Bubník, Karel (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The first part of this bachelor´s thesis is focused to elements of the muscle and nerve structures and spreading of excitation (signal) through them. Second part is concerned to electromyography as an investigative method that is used in medical diagnostics and basic requirements for the electromyography and its components. In this thesis is described examinational techniques motoric and sensitive nerve conduction. There are described requirements of recording, stimulation and also evaluation of constituent elements of signal. The final part is focused on specific laboratory exercises with specific instructions.
Polygraphic measurement of stress
Faltýnková, Květoslava ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with polygraphic measurement of stress. The paper describes the physiological manifestations of stress induced as a result of false answers to the question and ways to measure these phenomena. It focuses mainly on changes in heart rate, blood pressure, respiration and skin resistance. It is designed to work in the block diagram of polygraph, described the course of measurement and evaluation. The work is also mention of lie detection using EEG.
Wireless accelerometer modul
Lysoň, Jakub ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes a wireless accelerometer module. The aim of this work was to study the properties and involvement of the accelerometer, wireless module design for data transfering from the accelerometer to the PC and the module implementation. As a wireless device is used bluetooth module that enables communication between the product and the computer. The wireless module used rechargable lithium ion battery that helps keep module alive without adapter or net cable.
Controlling of myoelectric prothesis
Tomanová, Markéta ; Bubník, Karel (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
The Master´s thesis summarizes the knowledge about controlling of myoelectric prostheses. The Introduction part of this work provides an overview of the anatomy of muscles and their contraction. In case of restricted function of hand, it is necessary to compensate this deficiency by using prosthetic limbs. Among one of the most technically difficult is robotic prosthesis. In this semestral work is myoelectric prosthesis replaced by a robotic arm. Arm is controlled by the electromyographic signals. The signals are recorded by Biopac acquision unit, then processed in LabVIEW and robotic system is controlled by the Arduino platform.
Software for multimedial stimuli presenting
Navrátil, Rudolf ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with the affects of multimedia stimuli on the human body, their processing by senses, the possibility of presentation of the stimuli with emphasis on the possibility of measuring the impact of their effect on biological signals using external measuring station. It describes the design and implementation of the application, allowing presentation of the mentioned stimuli and their synchronization with external measuring system Biopac.
Training system for clibmers
Polach, Pavel ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis was design and realisation of measuring system, enabling measuring forces between climber´s feet and holds on the climbing wall and using this measu-red values during a training of sport climber. In this thesis there are discovered possibilities about constructing this system and determina-ted basic requirements of measuring. There are also stated principles of application the strain gauges for measuring the tension. Descriptions of developping specific sensors, hardware interface and PC application are also part of this thesis. Constructed system was used for mea-suring climbers and values were analysed by using the application.
Response of biological signals on multimedia content
Ondrášková, Lucie ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
This paper explains the concept of emotion, emotion dimension and how emotions relate to the central nervous system. Additionally, there is research that were the inspiration for this work, the basic types of emotions and their physiological responses. The following are ways to monitor signals caused by emotions. The practical part deals with the sensing signals from the periphery of the body, specifically the EDA, EMG, EOG and PPG. As stimuli to elicit these signals were used photography, music and film. The signals were processed using the program developed in Matlab. Program specific values obtained were statistically analysed.
Breath monitoring during motion therapy
Koťová, Markéta ; Bubník, Karel (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with continuous monitoring of pulmonary ventilation during the patients' theraphy and focuses especially on monitoring of their ventilation processes. It is necessarry to detect, monitor and differentiate abdominal and thoracic breathing during the theraphy. This thesis describes the very basic and common method, a spirometry. Next, an overview of more advanced state-of-the-art methods based on both, tactile and proximity principles is given. In addition to that, two recently developed methods by BUT are discussed as well -- a tactile-based measurement similar to blood pressure sensor and a proximity-based measurement method employing TOF cameras. The data acquired by these two methods are proccesed and examined in order to evaluate and justify their performance in a real application.
Wireless Nurse Care Calling
Bubník, Karel ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This work describes the design, construction a performance of such a complete wireless pager suitable for health care centers, rest homes, home application, for example for calling an attendant. This appliance is designed to be easy to attendance. A wireless transceiver is simplified and is attended only by one button. A wireless receiver also doesn't require a complicated manipulation. The aim is to create pager, which will be an useful assistant thanks to its price and simple construction.
