A cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange in the 21st century

The thesis aims to identify the potential use of a cryptocurrency in the international trade and the level of fulfillment of that potential. First of all, the thesis describes how cryptocurrencies work. In the second part, the potential of a cryptocurrency is investigated. In the third part, the market of the most used cryptocurrency - Bitcoin is analyzed. The thesis finds out to what extent Bitcoin is used nowadays and whether bitcoin as a cryptocurrency fulfills its potential.
Monetary policy of the European central bank in connection with the European debt crisis

The bachelor thesis analyses reaction of the European central bank on the debt crisis in the eurozone. The first chapter explains causes of the European debt crisis. Second chapter briefly describes the European central bank with emphasis to standard tools of its monetary policy. The last chapter analyses measures introduced in reaction to the crisis, their efficiency and impact on real economy.
Maastricht convergence criteria and their fulfillment of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis evaluates the development and appropriateness of the Maastricht Convergence Criteria from their beginnings. The thesis analyzes the current state of alignment of Eurozone member states in comparison with the monitored variables of Czech economy. Further, this thesis evaluates how the Czech Republic fulfils the convergence criteria and its preparedness to adopt the single currency. Last but not least, the thesis investigates the potential revenues and costs of the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic. The thesis outlines the increasingly deepening of European integration and implementation of institutional changes in the functioning of the monetary union with respect to the current challenges of the monetary union. This has changed the entrance requirements and new financial and institutional commitments arising from eventual membership in the Eurozone.
Analysis of the economic situation of Spain

This thesis analyses the economic situation in Spain. First, it is described the historical pre-crisis development of Spain related to the entry into the European Community and into the Economic and Monetary Union. Then, in more detail, it analyses the economic situation during the past fifteen years. The analysis is partly made by using the macroeconomic indicators and it shows the changes which the country has gone through. The biggest economic boom in the country was before the financial crisis. The financial crisis has left consequences which can be seen till today. However, it was investigated that in the past two years the economy has slowly started to recover and the future of the country appears to be positive, but still the country faces a lot of challenges.
Analysis of the development of the Czech Republic to the Russian federation and Ukraine

Russian federation and Ukraine belong to biggest trade partners of ex - Soviet Union. In this thesis are compiled the biggest crisis of this countries and Czech Republic. In other parts is analysed export from Czech Republic to the Ukraine and Russian Federation in the detail. In thesis is included particular character of 2014 and influence of bilateral sanctions, which relate to 2014. The intention of this bachelor thesis is to prove that political situation has an impact to business relations of chosen countries.
Causes of the economic crisis in the Eurozone according to the Austrian school of economics

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of the economic crisis in the Eurozone. This analysis is based on the principles of the Austrian business cycle theory, which is different from the mainstream economics. This thesis examines the causes that led to the outbreak of the economic crisis and how adoption of the single currency led to increased economic division among member states. Subsequently, there is an examination of the impact of the crisis on the member economies and what does the present situation in Eurozone look like. In other words what are the main hurdles still hindering the rebalancing of the economic division among member countries and what are the latest measures taken by ECB.
The effectiveness of monetary policy of the European Central Bank in addressing the debt crisis in the euro area on a specific example of Ireland

This thesis focuses on assessing the effectiveness of monetary policy, which was adopted by the European Central Bank in cooperation with the Irish Central Bank in order to overcome the debt crisis in Ireland. It provides a brief overview of the causes of the crisis in the country and focuses on the measures of monetary policy that was taken in addressing the debt crisis. The paper examines the initial targets of anti-crisis policy and their actual implementation. Increased attention has been paid to banking regulation, since insufficient regulation was the primary cause of the crisis that led Ireland into a situation of extreme budget deficit and the subsequent need for a bail-out. The paper points out that in 2014, the Irish economy has seen some growth and reduced the budget deficit as well as government debt, which confirms the effectiveness of certain implemented measures.
A comparison of the development of divorce rate in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Sweden

This thesis deals with the development of divorce rate in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Sweden. The aim is to make a comparison of the development in these selected countries based on data available for the longest possible period of time, i.e. since 1960 and find out what factors have on the level of divorce rate the greatest influence. At the beginning of the thesis are briefly explained the basic demographic terms and defined selected demographic indexes. The second part focuses on the long-term development of divorce rate in our country. Then, in the third chapter is analysed divorce rate trend of recent years in the Czech Republic and is carried out an estimate of possible future divorce rate development for several years in advance by using trend analysis. The fourth chapter contains the comparison of the development of divorce rate in our country with the development of the Slovak Republic and Sweden by using selected demographic indicators. At the end of the chapter, there is also evaluation of divorce situation within Europe. From the perspective of historical development and comparison of divorce rate development in selected countries result differences in the roles of various factors, some of which cause individual fluctuations in time, eventually some characteristic differences between the compared countries. Other factors, particularly economic, social and political development of society has a fundamental effect on the long-term trend, in the case of total divorce rate it is growing trend.
The impact of monetary policy on cross-broder economic activities of enerprises

This thesis titled The impact of monetary policy on cross-border economic activities of enterprises focuses on the monetary policy of four European countries - the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark and Sweden. The first chapter discusses the theoretical principles of monetary policy, the definition of monetary policy, its objectives, tools and various types of transmission mechanisms. The second chapter compares monetary policies of the given countries, focusing on their attitude towards the common monetary union (euro zone). The third chapter analyzes the impact of monetary policy on cross-border economic activities of enterprises. It primarily analyzes effects in terms of risks, balance of payments, competitiveness, etc. The fourth chapter -- in form of case study - examines how the foreign exchange interventions by the Czech National Bank affected the Czech economy and trade. The work focuses on the last five years, where appropriate, the development of the past ten years is captured.
Technologické metody svařování hliníku a jeho slitin

The diploma thesis deals with the technology of welding aluminum alloy AW 5754 by a method of arc welding TIG and with covered electrode. Introduction contains information about aluminum alloys and their labeling according to ČSN EN 573-1,2. Additional attention is focused on evaluation of the weld quality according to ISO 10042 and subsequent evaluation of the defects according to ISO 65 20 to 1. In the experimental section was welded samples tested at first by non-destructive methods (visual, capillary, X-ray testing) and followed by a destructive measurement of the weld (evaluation of micro-hardness, macroscopic and microscopic tests, tearing issues). Furthermore, part of weldments was subjected to a laboratory corrosion test in an aggressive environment of a salt chamber and then evaluating of mechanical properties of welds in both methods.
