Title: The difference in planning a training session in selected categories of judo Goal: The main objective is the comparison and analysis of the results from the questionnaire survey given by trainers in different approaches when planning and creating an annual training plan. This is followed by drawing up training units in each period in different ages. Methods: We are using a questionnaire survey, qualitative research, analysis of the specialized literature in the field of general sports training. The respondents of questionnaires are younger pupils to adolescents. Results: The findings of this study have shown us, the importance of preparing the annual training plan, as well as written preparation in form of individual notes. This helps to use the training time more effectively to prepare for important tournaments and maintain the highest performance throughout the year. Keywords: judo, training, annual training plan
Comparison of reaction times between combat sport athletes competing in matches and technical patterns
Novotný, Mikuláš ; Třebický, Vít (advisor) ; Pavelka, Radim (referee)
Title: Comparsion of reaction times between combat sport athletes competing in matches and technical patterns. Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to compare the simple reaction times between two disciplines (sports fighting and technical patterns) in Taekwondo (WT, ITF) and Karate (JKA, ČSKe). Methods: To collect the data, we used a purpose-built questionnaire containing questions about basic demographic information, martial art and its discipline, length of experience, achieved technical level, and self-rated reaction speed. We measured reaction times using a purpose-built test through PsychoPy3 and the Pavlovia platform. The entire participation took place on-line and was mainly distributed through advertisements on social media and contacting associations of the studied sports. A total of 112 people took part in the study. Results: We found no statistically significant differences in mean reaction times between the sports fighting and technical patterns. Further, reaction times were statistically significantly negatively associated with the length of experience and age. Keywords: reaction time, visual signal, combat sports, on-line

Kubů, Matyáš ; Zdobinský, Adam (advisor) ; Pavelka, Radim (referee)
Title: Influence of combat sports in football performance Objectives: The main objective is to find a connection between combatives and football and to present the possible benefits of including combat in the training of football players. To find the answer to the question why to include combat exercises in the training process. Find out whether fights can help players on the field during the match or even as injury prevention. Introduce famous athletes who have incorporated combatives and martial arts into the training process and helped them become leaders in their sport. Make six excercises, which can be put into training proces of footballers. Methods: The work uses a thorough review of literature and relevant online resources. The analysis of sources then allows synthesis of the findings, which is described in the theoretical part. The practical part uses the acquired theoretical basis for creating combat exercises suitable for football players. Results: Due to a thorough search of resources and study of the literature, six exercises were created, which can be included in the training process. Furthermore, possible benefits were presented and the effects of combat training for footballers were introduced. Keywords: football, combat sports, martial arts, training
Endurance and strength - speed determinants of kickboxing performance
Cvingerová, Tereza ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Stich, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Endurance and strength-speed determinants of kickboxing performance Objectives: The aim of the work is based on current scientific knowledge to define some of the conditioning determinants influencing sports performance in kickboxing and thus determine the profile of the elite kickboxer. Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted using the Google Scholar, ScienceDirekt, Web of Science and ResearchGate databases. The work included studies and literature in the field of general sports training and martial arts, especially kickboxing, which evaluated the somatic and conditioning factors of sports performance. Results: A total of 37 studies dealing with the above-mentioned issues in kickboxing or similar combat sports were used. Based on the literature search, somatic factors, endurance, force and speed factors were defined and described. The average amount of body fat of kickboxers was found (8.1-12.4 %), as well as the fact that kickboxers have predominantly mesomorphic features of the somatotype. VO2max of elite kickboxers is in the range of 47.65-62.7 ml∙kg-1 ∙min-1 and anaerobic capacity in the range of 6.1-10 W∙kg-1 for lower limbs and 3.6-6.1 W∙kg-1 for upper limbs. The hand grip force of the dominant hand is 51.4-55.6 kg and of the non- dominant hand 48.7-54.7 kg. The height...
Effect of physical load on handgun shooting accuracy
Vokoun, Jaroslav ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Hermel, Ivan (referee)
Title: Effect of physical load on handgun shooting accuracy. Objective: The aim of this work is to detect and compare the effects of physical activity (in the form of a shuttle run at the limit of 85% SF max.) on the shooting accuracy from a short firearm. Methods: This was an experimental study with an intra-subject design. Thirty randomly assigned police officers at age 35.9 years (SD = 4.5) made 5 shots from a Glock 17 pistol (gen. 3) within 5 seconds in a stable position without support before and after physical activity (shuttle run on length10 m in time until the completion of 85% SF max.) to a fixed target at a distance of 8 meters. Comparison of shooting accuracy from the middle point of impact between interventions (shooting before and after physical activity) was performed by using a paired T-test. The level of statistical significance was set at p ≥ 0.05. Cohen's d was used to determine the magnitude of the strength of the effects. Results: Based on the paired T-test, a statistically significant difference was found in the accuracy of shooting from the middle point of impact without and after physical activity (p = 0.007, d = 0.498). We also consider the deterioration of shooting accuracy after physical exertion by 9 mm from the middle point of impact, which is 21.78%, to be factually...

Pavelka, Radim ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Fojtík, Ivan (referee) ; Pánek, David (referee)
I ABSTRACT Title: Kinesiological analysis of upper limb punch strike in sports karate. Aim of work: The aim of this thesis to describe and characterize the muscle involement in direct punch strike in karate. Then compared with the exercises, which are characteristic to karate - strikes with resistence and push-up exercise. Methods: Work is processed by a comparative analysis of selected movements based on the determination of muscle activation. The surface electromyography method synchronized with video and accelerometer was used in this work. Results: The result is describtion of selcted movements on the basis of muscle activation and function of selected muscles. The prove that the forearm extensors are activated as the last of the selcted muscles was managed. On the basis of karate technique and anatomy we confirmed important role of forearm extensor by direct punch in karate. The difference between onset time muscle activation by strikes and push up was found. Maximum speed of acral part of the upper limb by direct punch was established. Keywords: Electromyography (EMG), karate, direct punch - gyakucuki, accelrometer

Methods: Systematic literary research Results: The ideal dose of caffeine to improve athletic performance is in the range of 3- 6 mg/kg, and most preferably in the form of tablets 60 minutes before exercise. This substance has been shown to improve aerobic endurance performance, sprint speed and cognitive function such as accuracy and attention in athletes. Caffeine in trained individuals may also improve anaerobic endurance, maximum and endurance strength, simple reaction time and other cognitive functions, but further studies are needed. . Keywords: sport, supplementation, aspects of performance, conditions of use, stimulation, alkaloids
