Legal acts directed at the termination of employment

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the current legal system of legal acts aimed at termination of employment. I draw attention to shortcomings in the current legislation and propose solutions. The first chapter focuses on the development of labour law. In describing there are searched historical connections that created and formed the labour law, its various institutes and its relationship to civil law. The second chapter deals with the legal acts in general and the employment relationship. This part defines what a labour act is and what are its elements, which sets its non-validity, consequences of invalidity and particulars of employment. The third chapter is a general introduction to the very issue of legal actions aimed at termination of employment. In the fourth chapter there are defined the legal requirements of agreement and its applicability in the present time. The fifth chapter deals with the notice and its requirements, especially legal reasons and statements of the time. The chapter is divided into two parts according to the subject which determines employment unilaterally. In my thesis I concentrate on the topic of the equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination. The reason why I have chosen this subject matter is for its topicality and constantly increasing significance. The equal treatment, as well as the prohibition of discrimination, has to be respected in labour relations to create respectable conditions for employees and equal opportunities for job applicants. In practice, these principles support also better productivity in a workplace, because the work environment, where the law is maintained, is the healthy and prosperous one. However, the reality is different and these principles are not always enforced. That is the reason why discrimination or unequal treatment still exist today and it is not phenomenon, which would be typical only for relations between employers and employees or job applicants. Therefore, the international, European and interstate legislation is evolving constantly in this area and it is changing in an effort to reach more efficient application in practice. Artistic, cultural, advertising and sports activities of children

The topic of this thesis is artistic, cultural, sport and advertising activity of the child. Firstly, the attention is paid to the development of the protection of the child labor and to the detailed international regulation. The thesis deals with the most important international documents signed within the framework of international organizations, such as the UN, Council of Europe and International Labor Organization. Next chapter focuses to the European regulation, in particular Council Directive no. 94/33/EC on the protection of young people in work. In the following chapter the thesis is focused on the detailed analysis of the legal regulation in the Czech Republic. The final chapter is a brief overview of the legal regulation of the children activities in France. The goal of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the legal regulation of the child artistic, cultural, sport and advertising activity in the context of historical and international development.

The Equal Treatment and the Prohibition of Discrimination of Employees in Labour Relations This thesis deals with the topic of equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination of employees in labour relations. Its aim is to describe, analyse and evaluate the recent antidiscrimination legislation on national, international and European levels including the related judicature. It also describes a system of organisations and authorities dealing with discrimination. The thesis consists of four chapters; each of them deals with different aspects of discrimination and principle of equal treatment. The first chapter is of the introductory character and defines basic terminology used in the thesis (e.g. equality, gender equality, equal rights and discrimination), explains forms of discrimination and deals with means of protection against discrimination. The second chapter focuses on international law in the field of prohibition of discrimination. The third chapter investigates the antidiscrimination law of the European Union. The fourth chapter characterizes and examines relevant Czech legislation in the field of the equal treatment and prohibition of discrimination.
