The Design of current power amplifier for inductive load
Nimrichter, Filip ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This batchelor thesis deals with Howland current source that should work with purely inductive loads up to 10 kHz. This current source will excite a coil with a nonlinear magnetic core, so it should deliver a current of at least 4 A. The main focus of the thesis is on the stabilization, practicle design and measurement of real properties of the Howland current source. This stability has been verified in PSpice and Micro-Cap. The practical design was compiled in the program EAGLE.
Low-Level Measurements
Zdražil, Lukáš ; Roubal, Zdeněk
This paper deals with the measurement of low values of electrical voltages and currents from sources with high internal resistance. The measured values are close to the theoretical limits of achievable sensitivity, which are determined by the magnitude of the Johnson´s thermal noise. Non-thermal noises are also generated in the circuit. The most significant noise after Johnson´s thermal noise is flicker noise with a frequency dependence of 1/f. Choosing an accurate operational amplifier with low input bias and noise is just as important as choosing precise passive components with low noise.
Design and construction of measuring equipment for lightning research
Kirsanov, Ivan ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main aim of this semester work is the design of meter of an electrostatic field in the open landscape. The theoretical part focuses on describing the theory of the creation of an electrostatic field and on proven measurement methods. The practical part of the bachelor's work is focused on the design of a measuring instrument, selection of components and justification. The practical part includes a block diagram of wiring.

Design of a new ion counter for the nature environment
Roubal, Šimon ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
Subject of this bachelors thesis is an realization of new control board for iontmeter that is developed at UTEE. Iontmeter must be capable of fully autonomous measure in outside contitions. That means it has to be able to run on batery for a long time and has to be to resist outside weather conditions. Measured data will be saved on an SD card and also sent using GSM network to the IoT server.
Design and optimization of special low-level amplifier for measurement of air ions
Zdražil, Lukáš ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Master thesis deals with low-current measurement in order of picoamps up to a few tens of femtoamps. Such low currents measuring is necessary for determination of air ions concentration. Disturbances, which are otherwise negligible for ordinary measurements must be considered. For example, leakage currents and noise generated in measuring device circuit. The choice of a precise operation amplifier with low input bias current is as important as the selection of low noise passive components. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement a precise low-level amplifier for the purposes of air ions concentration measurements.
Implementation of USB/LAN/WIFI interface
Voneš, Jaroslav ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis goes into implementing the most modern communication interfaces USB/LAN/WIFI to control the computer itself and also the incubator via a Web interface. The term describes the overall solution to the management of the incubator for using microcontroller ATmega8 with the possibility of the exchange of communication interfaces. For the USB converter was used the circuit FTDI FT232 BM company, from LANTRONIX Ethernet was used for Converter converter XPORT and eventually to communicate the WIFI was elected circuit ESP 8266
SMD Rework station
Szabó, Michal ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This thesis describes the theory of solder joint and conditions under which it is formed correctly. Further, methods of hand soldering are discussed, and possibilities of temperature regulation of soldering tip are analyzed. Methods of creating a soldering station and its key features are depicted. In practical part, the solution of how to create a soldering station with soldering iron, desolder gun and heatgun is given and is constructed. While testing a defect is found that prevents the power portion of soldering station to function properly and prevents completion.
Wideband transimpedance photodiode amplifier
Šťastný, Martin ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of transimpedance amplifier with high gain. There are described different principles of semiconductor sensors of optical signal. There is also a comparison of different methods of converting the photocurrent to voltage. It also discusses the design of an appropriate feedback capacitor in terms of stability in participation as a transimpedance amplifier. It examines the impact of non-zero currents flowing to the input operational amplifier circuit functionality and output offset compensation. Part of the thesis is a simulation that confirms the calculated values. The thesis also deals with the implementation of the receiver and the method of correct measurement of the cut-off frequency.
High resolution ammeter
Honek, Marek ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
A transmission electron microscope is a device operating on a similar principle as an optical microscope. The fact that electrons wavelength is much shorter than the wavelength of photons is used to obtain huge magnifications. Glass lenses commonly used in the optical microscope are therefore replaced by magnetic coils in the electron microscopes. A magnetic field is directly proportional to the current passing through these coils. It is important to the current supplied to the coils to be as stable as possible to achieve high resolution. The goal of this thesis is to analyze usable current measurement methods and to design a current stable measuring device with a resolution of 1 ppm.
