Analysis of the availability of broadband in a particular location

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the availability of broadband internet in the small village Vysoký Újezd in the Central Region. The first part describes theoretically different technologies that offer broadband Internet access and are available in the Czech Republic. The second part contains all offer nationwide and regional providers of broadband, offering services in the area of the selected municipalities. The most used technologies in the village are Wi-Fi and ADSL, conversely via cable TV or fiber optic networks in the municipality are not available. Work can help the inhabitants of Vysoký Újezd select appropriate high-speed Internet connection. The last part contains its own survey among the inhabitants of the village, focusing on their Internet connection. The answers are presented in graphs, commented and evaluated.

Creation a small organization website analysis

This work theoretically and practically deals with creating website of a small organization. The theoretical part is aimed on rules and procedures, which everybody should follow in order to create quality websites. The theoretical part also describes the purpose of a website for organization and visitors of the presentation. The practical part is aimed on my own knowledge and experience. This part describes creating a website for a pension, analyses the original website and possible causes of the owners' demand for an update. And the last part is my view of the future of websites and describing possible new functions and possibilities of websites.

Applications for team cooperation support

The topic of the presented diploma thesis revolves around team cooperation support applications, also known under the term groupware. The author first explains the common terms pertaining to the issue at hand and subsequently places these applications into the information system infrastructure of an organization. Afterward, the functions of these applications are listed and characterized in more detail. The core of this thesis lies in outlining a method of evaluating these applications in terms of their meeting predetermined criteria (groupware, the SaaS model, free of charge, general scope of functions). From the user's perspective, the applications are evaluated by criteria divided into four areas (graphic design, user-friendliness, functionality, technological compatibility). Weighted average is instrumental to the analysis. The method puts accent on flexibility, fair-mindedness, reusability. The final part of the present diploma thesis is devoted to the underlying principles of the manual which would help team leaders to choose the right groupware application.

Development and Future Prospects of Mobile Internet Connection in the Czech Republic

Mobile telecommunications belong to one of the fields which still evolves and it is expected that in the future they are going to offer great benefit to the whole world. This work focuses on current and future development of mobile Internet connection in the Czech Republic. At first the technologies used to provide mobile Internet connection are described and compared and then the situation (in terms of technologies and mobile operators) in the Czech market is outlined and its possible evolution in the near future is presented. Furthermore, the tarifs of mobile operators are compared with those in place two years ago. The strengths and weaknesses of the current mobile Internet connection are evaluated based on the conducted questionnaire survey. The latest results are then analyzed and compared with the results from a previous survey conducted in 2007 as part of a bachelor's thesis, which has been further extended in this mater's thesis.

Compatison of web sites of big European cities

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and compare three web sites of big European cities: Berlin, Vienna and Zürich. At first, several factors of internet pages are described, e.g. Internet and HTML language. These are followed by a description of city web pages, their regularization and the theoretical part is concluded by a brief description of evaluation methods of web pages. In the first part of the analysis, a methodology of evaluation containing several groups of criteria is designed. To them are then assigned different weights. The evaluation of partial, as well as total results is provided in the following part. Finally, the results are compared with one another, critical deficiencies are defined and a way of its elimination is proposed.

Analysis and comparison of web pages selected Czech cities

The aim of this thesis is create methodology for evaluation of Czech cities web pages. The thesis includes aplication of this methodology into Web pages of Domazlice, Tachov and Rokycany. For this purpose I formulated criteria for evaluation of Web pages. In term of these criteria is accentuated informative value, usability, accessability and design of Web pages. Informative value was defined to reply for assessed pages sphere. In next part of this thesis I performed cricital analysis of Web pages of selected cities. On the basis of these results are formulated main drawbacks of Web pages and suggested solution.

Comparison study of www pages of world universities

Cílem této práce je zanalyzovat a porovnat celkovou úroveň webových stránek vybraných univerzit z celého světa a navrhnout konkrétní doporučení pro inovaci internetové prezentace VŠE. K analýze, při níž je aplikováno celkem 21 kritérií, jsou použity webové stránky těchto pěti univerzit: City University of Hong Kong, Harvard University, University of Otago, University of South Africa a Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze.

Etické normy v oblasti informatiky v ČR

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou spojenou s dodržováním a porušováním norem informační etiky. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. První kapitola pojednává o historickém vývoji obecné etiky. Vybrané etické postoje jsou stručně popsány, zejména jejich principy a z nich vycházející východiska pro chování. Na konci kapitoly jsou hlavní východiska shrnuta a naformulována tak, aby mohla posloužit pro hodnocení jevů vyskytujících se v informační etice. Zároveň mohou sloužit jako rada při rozhodování nejen v situacích, které souvisí s informační etikou. Druhá kapitola se zabývá informační etikou přímo. Nejdříve jsou definovány základní pojmy jako je informace z pohledu etiky a komunikace. Komunikační model dále slouží jako kritérium rozdělení informační etiky na logické části. Dále jsou popsány charakteristické aspekty informační etiky, jako autorské právo či ochrana osobních údajů. Následuje popis nejrozšířenějších etických kodexů a některých nežádoucích jevů souvisejících s etikou komunikace. Kapitola číslo tři se věnuje skutečným kauzám, jejichž zápletka se týká tématu z informační etiky. Jednotlivé kauzy jsou zhodnoceny pomocí závěrů plynoucích z předchozí částí práce.

Comparison of selected mobile Internet connection

The topic of presented thesis is the subject of mobile Internet connectivity in the Czech Republic. The text is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part is focused on an individual description of the technologies (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA) which are being offered in the Czech Republic by the operators. The greatest emphasis is put on a description of UMTS and HSDPA. The second part is practical; it describes the offers of each respective Czech operator focusing on the third-generation network or particularly the network operator with the highest connection speed. The thesis compares current offers against those in the year 2006. The next practical part is aimed at creating a methodology for testing mobile connections and its applications for UMTS and CDMA operator's tariffs at T-Mobile and Telefónica O2. The contribution of this work is to provide a comprehensive picture of a mobile Internet connection in the means of technological background and practical applications.
