Trpišovský, Lukáš ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Ruml, Ivan (referee) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Makonj, Karel (referee)
The dissertation deals with other space between stage and auditorium based on my own stage experience and concrete examples. It concerns in the first three chaps of keywords: 1/ micro- and macro- world as the space, 2/ memory as the space and 3/ stage music and stage sound as the space. In last chapter deals with relationship between actor and spectator to this other spaces based on my own stage experience on performance Neograničené linije/ Borderless Lines/ Neohraničené linie in Belgrade in Serbia. To conclude, the dissertation mentions a few rules on how to treat the space between the stage and the auditorium. It compares this space to a landscape, where it is above all the relationship between the existence of place and existence of human beings that matters.
Identity and Personage
Vimmrová, Pavlína ; Mikeš, Vladimír (advisor) ; Klíma, Miloslav (referee)
In her bachelor thesis, the author focuses on a dynamic space between actor´s personage and his personal identity. She relates this topic to a broader social context with an accent to the social theatrality and she compares the concepts of personal identity in both western and eastern culture, inspired among others by her residency at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. The paper is divided into two main parts. First part presents theoretical questions of the personal identity concept and defines some concrete problems. The author focuses on those problems in the second part within her reflection of the process of creation of the graduate performance Jak je důležité míti / The Importance of Being.
Music as the servant, partner and boss of puppetry performance
Račková, Dana ; Krofta, Josef (advisor) ; Šrámek, Vratislav (advisor) ; Klíma, Miloslav (referee)
The work is a précis of general knowledge about the problem of stage music in the theatre and subsequent subjective view of the given problem with the accent on puppetry theatre. Authoress, on one side as a director on the other side as a theatre-goer, is trying, on the basis of acquired theoretical informations, to organize her own experience with using the stage music as a part of a sound component of the puppetry theatre. Work piece is the study of few musically interesting moments of the authoresses creative work history that is concerned especially in puppetry theatre and partly radio. Based on this chosen examples she is trying to deduce the rules that would be taken in consideration in her creative work as general. Subject of the work is not the sound component generally but stage music as its member. She examines its functions and roles during the creative process and result of the single staging too. She takes a think of concrete examples, when the stage music (so do whole sound component) is superior, secondary or equal to the other components (visual, actor´s...).

Jozef Bednárik - the start of his artistic way and Z-theatre Zeleneč
Brtnická, Dagmar ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Klíma, Miloslav (referee)
Jozef Bednárik is one of the most famous people working on the czechoslovaque theatre. His talent and his knowledges in many kinds of arts (dramaturgie, acting, directing, painting and scénographie, music) are conected in the ideal way to make the synthetic theatre, which is a big enrichment for the czechoslovaque and international theatre. The important part in the complex result of his work are his quality in management about which nobody was speaking before. An interest in arts and organising things were already shown in his childhood. The first complex artistic expression involving his dramaturgic, scenographic, directing and managing work in one person become a milestone in a development of the theatre in Czechoslovakia. The nonprofesional theatre company from the vilage Zeleneč by Trnava toured under the leadership of him many places around the world. His work helped to blurred artificial boundaries between profesional and nonprofesional theatre. He was working in nonprofesional conditions in 1974-1987 and it was similar as czech theatre-studios. My thesis focused a period from the begining of his work untill the year 1991, when he leaves a stabil work in the theatre and starts his independent work.
Text as a Componenet of Inscenation and Text as a Subject of interpretation
Samec, Matěj ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Vedral, Jan (referee)
The author proposes to define the concept of creating theater-scenario. He understands theater-scenario writing as a specific form of dramaturgy and the work of dramaturgist. Based on the analyze of his own experiences he tries to denominate two basic forms of theater-scenario writing. The first is theater-scenario-writing in the interpretative theater, the second is theater-scenario-writing in the non-interpretative (authorial) theatre. He employs onself in searching their common factor. In order to clarify the chosen problem, he uses examples of work on concrete ? dramatic, prozaic and ?a priori non-art? ? texts, which was fundamental in the process of creating scenarios of five very different inscenations: Shakespeares Titus Andronicus, dramatization of a novel, scenic collage and two authorial projectes.
Looking For a Third Reality
Tejnorová, Petra ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Makonj, Karel (advisor) ; Krobot, Miroslav (referee)
I see my thesis titled Looking For a Third Reality as an opportunity for finding and reflecting a possibility for an existing link between the individual components of the piece, specifically the music-movement-text-acting-scene (scenography) parts of the production, as well as, naturally, the directing, all of which I come into contact most during my creative work in theater. A certain line and possibility for reflection I see in the process between the production of The Suffering of Duke Sternenhoch and that of Titus Andronicus_The Flight of a Fly. The second line then I see from the two-part project The Memory of a Land - The land of Memory towards the production Personal Case History. The third reality comes to life through synthesis, and not only in the framework of the above mentioned components, but also using sources related to theater. It has a similar character to a montage, when a combination of a component A and a component B creates a new entity C. This newly created quality could be called the creative potential of the viewer as a co-creater of a production. Although neither montage nor third reality is anything new, in this work I am endeavoring to touch the main schemes of the process of creating a third reality and its components. All that based on specific experience.
Theatre as an Invitation to Interpersonal Aesthetic Communication
Šplíchalová, Kateřina ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Mikotová, Zoja (referee) ; Provazník, Jaroslav (referee) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
THEATRE AS AN INVITATION TO INTERPERSONAL AESTHETIC COMMUNICATION (theatre activities with actors with mental diseases and professionals actors) In this dissertation, I wil start by offering a framework for understanding ?theatre in a specific theatre group? - with actors with mental diseases living in the mental home in general. I will then discuss possible variations of this theme in social interactions (arttherapy, drama education?). After laying these foundations, I will present several lines of research in this area that illustarate how special theatre work with mentally retarded can influence the professional and practical theatre research (interviews with theatre directors, dramaturgist, scenographer and actors). I will also describe a series of pilot performances that focus on principals of activities demonstrating collective theatre searching of mentally disabled persons. My findings demonstarate that theatre representations have a dramatic impact on fantasy, inner life and behaviors of all participants. I attempted to clarify the underlying process that leds actors with mental disess to play with puppets, to make an alternative theatre. I am engaged in a large artistic movement which would like to accomplish an integration of puppet theatre in asylums - hospitals for mentally disabled people. I have been working with mentally disabled actors for eight years already. I have always wanted to enter their imagination and to be able to understand how they think and why. We try to find different ways to come up with a concrete stage solution. It becomes important to understand the rehearsing processes underlying the self-representation of an actor with mental diseas - in terms of how it may impact ones´s own attitudes and behavior, as wel as how it may influence his interactions with others.

Dramaturgist and dramaturgy
Vojtíšková, Zuzana ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Šavlíková, Kateřina (referee)
The main question of this master diploma publication is: Who is the dramaturgist and what is it the dramaturgy in the contemporary theatre, especially during the play preparation. In the first part there are teoretical principles and the definition of the terms dramaturgist and dramaturgy. In the second part there are practical experiences from my work since 2005 until 2007. During this period I prepared following performances: Balada o velkém kostlivci in Theatre DISK, Díra ve zdi in Theatre Minor, Prolhaný ovčák, O kouzelném jablíčku, Červená Karkulka and Slůně in Theatre Lampion Kladno. In my master diploma publication I tried to show the effort of a dramaturgist in different levels. The dramaturgist could be co-creator of a performance or partner of a director and a stage designer. The dramaturgist could cooperate with a group of creators or could be an author of a script or could make an oponency of a new dramatical script or could be an author of a playbill only. These categories I showed from the perspective of a chosen text and its preparation with the director, than from the perspective of a stage design and at last from the perspective of a cooperation with actors during rehearsals. Part of this master diploma publication are DVDs, photos and notes and passages from scripts.
