Mixed construction of an office building

Diploma thesis deals with analysis of a construction made of concrete and masonry. A model respecting nonlinear material behaviour of masonry was assembled in a finite element based software. Calculated results were used to analyse cracks in masonry. Next, a design of a horizontal construction was carried out - concrete slab with beams to support masonry in an upper floor.

Diploma thesis is dedicated to purchasing strategy evaluation in ABB Brno and its optimization. Thesis analyses current status of the firm and processes, which relates to purchasing this commodity. The concept of solving includes making a new evaluation method of supplier’s non-financial data and its influence to a final evaluation of suppliers. This method is also used for real case of purchasing this commodity. Last part also defines requirements of realization and benefits for this firm.

The thesis analyzes current status in the business and all processes relating to the sales of new cars and introduces strong and weak points of business. The concept of solving is trying to find a suitable optimization of chosen services and reduce costs. It also defines requirements of realization and benefits.
The Study of the Contract Award in Selected Company

The bachelor’s thesis focus at issue of contract award in company HAKL heating, s.r.o., which produce and trade flow and bin heaters and electric underfloor heating. In this thesis is analysed in detail the contract award, which is situated in nonmanufacturing department of company. Based on analysis of present state I’ve found defects in company and created my own solution proposal, which is related mainly with time of contract award. In the final part are defined requirements of realization and it economic and non-economic benefits.
Adjustment concrete girder frame

Bachelor´s thesis deals with streghtening of multi-storey construction made of lower-strength concrete for purpose of fitness-centre. Ceiling beams are reinforced with loosely guided pre-stressed cables, and added reinforcement with use of shotcrete. Slabs are stregthened by topping made of light concrete.

Comparison of selected database systems

This bachelor thesis is based on comparison of popular open source and proprietary database systems. The criteria were preselected in advance and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each defined system. In addition to that, this thesis is focused on the characteristics which are playing an important role and might be significant for database selection. First part of the work is dedicated to database problematic concepts and various software categories where each individual system belongs along with the associated types of licenses. This thesis is also providing an overview of market analysis that is followed by introduction of selected products. Second part of the work is mainly focused on criteria selection and actual comparison. As a conclusion, an overview summary of results are gathered which can serve as an important information for selecting the right database management system.

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on a strategic analysis of Granit spol. s.r.o., which is an industrial company. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the situation of the company on the market. Theoretic body describes a methodical process of the strategic analysis and introduces the literature used in the thesis. Practical part applies techniques mentioned in the previous part and introduces the company. Output of the analysis is SWOT analysis, statements about current company situation and general suggestions for future company development.
Benefits of digitizacion of television broadcasting in the diversity of programme content in the Czech republic

Diploma thesis examines the form of television market in the age of digitalized terrestrial broadcasting with regard to the extent to which there can be found genre innovations, wider scale of origin countries and the placement of its own or foreign programme premieres. For this purpose, it concentrates on eight new digital channels distributed in terrestrial network; available nationwide, not monothematic and having audience share of at least around one percent. In the theoretical part, there is briefly summarized the history of the digitalization process in the Czech Republic, there are profiles of examined TV channels and thesis also presents extinct or minor digital channels shortly. For research purpose, thesis uses quantitative analysis methodology; it allows to explore larger amount of materials and achieve the general knowledge. The results consist of the comparison between the eight channels in three categories, description of the evolution of programme in the course of the time compared to the first month of broadcasting and contextual contrast using partial analysis of broadcasting of main and then only analogue available channels . The major positive aspect of the new channels is a higher degree of ambiguity genre. However, U.S. still holds important role as origin country of the programmes.
