Šoupal, Ondřej ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore possibilities of rapid control prototyping, describe the concept of creating the software application in MATLAB/Simulink environment with use for development kit Texas instruments LaunchPad and create an application for DC and induction motor control in this environment. This work describes the application for unipolar/bipolar control H-Bridge of power converter for DC motor, measurement of output currents, speed and its displaying in real time using serial control interface. This thesis also desribes scalar and vector control of induction motor. All software applications with measurements are created in MATLAB/Simulink and attached to the thesis.
Power circuits for feeding the magnetic bearing
Chudá, Kateřina ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
Magnetic bearings are used to keep objects in certain position via magnetic force. There is no creation of friction, because there is no touch. It is necessary to supply magnetic bearings with electric energy. Linear transistor amplifiers or switched-mode amplifiers can be used to supply them with electric energy.
BLDC motor control
Kabelka, Ondřej ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals in the control of the BLDC motor. At first, there is a brief introduction of BLDC motor, in the next chapters are explained possible methods of control. The next part of the thesis deals with the platform STM32, on which the control algorithm is implemented. For the thesis a program for sensor and sensorless control of BLDC motor has been created. In the conclusion, the process of voltage and current has been measured, using the created algorithm.
Construction of a 3D printer
Hanzlíček, Martin ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Ctibor, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with topic 3D printers. Thesis includes overview of base technologies for 3D printing. There is more information about FDM technology, which is used in this project. There are chapters describing all important components and description of electronics drives. The control electronics was made by leader of this Bachelor thesis in his Master thesis. The practical part of this thesis deals with the design of mechanical 3D construction, dimensioning of electric drives, design wiring diagram and realization of 3D printer itself.
PLC systems in education process
Král, Radek ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with programmable logic controllers for teaching. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter describes the basic programming languages as well as their resolution with graphical preview. The second chapter deals with programming environment GX Works2 from Mitsubishi Electric. Chapters three and four describe the SoMachine programming environment from Schneider Electric and Automation Studio from B&R. The fifth chapter of this bachelor thesis compares individual programming environments from the perspective of a common user. Nine laboratory tasks are proposed in the final part. For each lab task, a lab tutorial is created, and for most, an example of a logical program and visualizations.
Operation of induction motor with respect to maximum efficiency
Čech, Jiří ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
In the first part of this paper a mathematical model of induction motor is described. With usage of -network equivalent circuit equations for calculation of individual power losses and overall efficiency are derived. Research study of loss minimization control is introduced in the next part. Several often used methods of variable frequency drive control are described. Also a review of loss minimization techniques from the perspective of induction motor control are presented. The last part of this paper includes a detailed description of scalar induction motor drive focused on reaching optimal efficiency. The loss minimization technique used is a model based method with rotor frequency being the control variable. At the end the performance of this method is verified using a computational script in Matlab.
Data logger
Dráb, Dominik ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Ctibor, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of universal data logging device. The work proposes the design of device architecture and describes individual systems and components, that are necessary for data logging. Logger is designed as a mobile device, with ARM microcontroller at its core. Thesis specifies requirements for device in terms of performance and versatility. The device uses modular construction, as it comprises multiple PCBs. The thesis describes their design and also design of the mechanical construction of data logger. Designed device has been realized and assembled. Software design for microcontroller is also part of the thesis. In the last part, measurements to determine achieved parameters of the device are conducted.
Software for Laboratory stand with inverters and motors
Smolák, Martin ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis focuses on control firmware for two microprocessors and visualization software of laboratory tasks on the computer. The first of the microprocessor controls a DC motor with permanent magnets and the second one an induction motor. The thesis first describes the hardware of the stand, the principle of AC motors control, Clark‘s and Park‘s transformation, description of firmware for DC and induction motor. Further there is described the visualization environment which serves students for controlling the stand and for calculation of the current regulator using the method of optimal module.
Transformer models for educational purposes
Beran, Vojtěch ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to project and realize models of transformers in Matlab and Simulink program. Projected models explain the theoretical precondition of the models. The aim is also to create manuals for models usage. The theoretical part bachelor's thesis is focused on transformer theory, which defines the properties, physical quantities, parameters and relations between them. In this part is defined transition from the basic model to models of current and voltage transformer, which forms the basis for the realization of simulations in Simulink. The next part describes vector transformation needed for modeling three phase system, defining the power, voltage and current of the transformer and for change of winding connection. Last part describes non-linear magnetic field. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis is the practical implementation of transformer models in Simulink. Realized models are models of current and voltage transformers. Each model has a form of linear and non-linear model and can work in single-phase or three-phase system. The output of simulation are values and voltage, current and power waveforms for a given load. There is a brief manual for usage for each model.
Radio Controled Tracked Vehicle Model
Ctibor, Jiří ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Klíma, Bohumil (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is the design and creation of manufacturing documentation DC drive for the tracked vehicle model with remote control, its design, programing and inspirit. To create a manufacturing documentation it’s needed to be familiar with the design program for printed circuit boards Altium Designer. Program of the microprocessor will be created in CodeWarrior development environment in the C language. To design circuits were used generally datasheets of components. The proposal consists of several functional peripheral units that provide various functions needed. For control the circuit is used a digital signal processor aimed at applications in the motor drives.
