Analysis and Detection of Multimedia Types in RTP Traffic
Kmeť, Martin ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issues of detecting the codec used for the encoding of voice data carried by the RTP protocol without having access to the information carried by signalisation protocols in VoIP applications. Its main goal is to create and implement a fast algorithm for detecting the codec used for voice transfer via the RTP protocol. This algorithm should be fast enough to be used for offline analysis of captured data as well as for real-time online analysis. For research of possibilities were compared two approaches of detection. Detection by the characteristics of the codecs was chosen to solve the problem itself. Within the solution was performed data analysis and implementation of the application followed by testing on data.
Detection of P2P Networks
Březina, Matej ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This document deals with design, implementation and testing of software system for detecting p2p (peer-to-peer) networks based on combination of BPF prefiltering and POSIX regular expressions packet payload matching with known p2p protocol communications. The proposed detection system includes a database with some rules of most effuse p2p protocols in format resembling to definitions for L7-filter classifier. The application is implemented in C, runs in userspace and is targeted to all POSIX compatible platforms. The combination of detector with user attached QoS controlling is complete solution for traffic reduction of common p2p protocols.
Virtual Access to Nodes in PlanetLab
Fic, Jiří ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
PlanetLab as a distributed systems testbed offers a unique opportunity for developing and testing new applications useful for future Internet. This work brings up a scheme and a solution of the problem with accessing PlanetLab by a larger group of students e.g. for the purpose of solving their courseworks. A designed system empowers its administrator to create and control virtual user accounts which provide possibility for all its users to connect to selected nodes in the PlanetLab.
Design of IP Multicast Communication Tests
Stehura, Igor ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Švéda, Miroslav (advisor)
This masters thesis is about mutlicast. There are explained 2nd and 3th layers of the ISO/OSI model multicast addressing. Routers in a network use multicast routing protocols to optimally route multicast packet through the network, this is also in this project. These multicast protocols are DVMRP, protocol PIM in his two modes, PIM Sparse Mode and PIM Dense Mode. Protocol DVMRP uses protocol IGMP, which is described as well. At practical section of this masters thesis is presented connections, by which tests was executed.
Simulation of Network Behaviour Based on Analysis of Configuration of Active Network Devices
Macků, Jiří ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This masters thesis describes simulation of network using Network Simulator. Model of network and description of simulation is extracted from the analysis of configuration files of active network devices, and translated by a parser. Concept and implementation of the parser is described here. Because IPv4 addressing is not supported in Network Simulator, it was added as a new module. The Network Simulator is also extended by filtering properties of packets using access control lists. Practical usage of the implemented modules is demonstrated on a simulation of real network.
Deployment of SIP Server at the FIT for IP Telephony
Hýbner, Lukáš ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
Master's Thesis is engaged on possibilities connect SIP server to telephone network on FIT. The main reason is that employees can call to university, when they are out of faculty. For resolution we will use SIP server Asterisk, which will be serving as authorization server for users. Next Asterisk will ensure transmission numbers to SIP address with ENUM. In the practical part we will verify the functionality.
Quality Analysis of VoIP Calls
Basel, Martin ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on methods for evaluating quality of VoIP calls. You can read about analysis of RTP/RTCP packets and use this knowledge for computing statistics required for assessing quality of VoIP calls. Also, I explain the method, which is implemented in plugins that work in FlowMon probe. Finally, you will see the results compared to the other programs.
Design and Implementation of Generic VoIP Exchange Using Functional Programming
Kidoň, Marek ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of generic exchange. As an implementation language was selected Erlang mainly because of its positive features with respect to a telephony software. Thesis also talks about declarative programming, Erlang language, its particular properties, advantages and disadvantages. The resulting software is called the Generic Exchange and its funcionallity is demonstrated on a few simple examples. In the end of the thesis are summarized the results and Generic Exchange design is compared with the design of Asterisk exchange.
Remote Management of Unix Router with XMPP/Jabber Protocol
Bezdíček, Lukáš ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis concerns designing and implementing a modular client for XMPP/Jabber protocol intended for interpreting commands for the OpenWrt operating system. My work contains information about XMPP/Jabber protocol and OpenWrt operation system and describes the process of designing and implementing the client.
Programming of Networking Applications on Different Platforms
Vach, Martin ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is compare the network communication protocols and their implementations on different platforms. In the work are described the used communication protocols and the possibilities of their implementation in different programming languages. There are described procedures for implementation of network communication on the demonstration application and testing of these implementations. Based on the results of testing, are the communication protocols and their implementations compared.
