Formula Student Clutch
Drbal, Milan ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with clutches used in Formula Student competition, calculation of the clutch used in Husqvarna FE 501and Husaberg FE 570 motor and modification of FE 570 clutch for usage in turbocharged version of the Husqvarna FE 501 with Garret turbocharger. The clutch is multi-plate wet clutch with pressure plate spring. Modification is done by installing bigger clutch set from Husaberg FE 570 engine, which is more suitable for usage in a racing car thanks to bigger torque transferred by the clutch. In the first part a research of multi-plate clutches, which can be found in most of the modern motorcycle engines was done. In the second part the calculations were made in order to set an approximated torque possible to transfer with stock Husaberg FE 570 clutch and a modification design for improvement with realisation.
Petrol Direct Injection
Moravec, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about the system of direct injection petrol engines within cars. The first chapter is designated to the history of the direct injection petrol system and the development of different concepts. The thesis then concentrates on the mixing of air with fuel and describes the injection system in detail. Within the content of my work is a list of specific engines, using the direct injection system. The last chapter is devoted to the future development of direct injection petrol system and those with the compression-ignition system.
Valvetrain of Compression-ignition Tractor Engine
Mikula, Vojtěch ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the main types and parts of the valvetrain systems of four-stroke engines. In the first part of the thesis are presented the most widely used versions of valvetrains and their use in the tractor engines. In the next part of the thesis is performed the construction and stress calculation of the valvetrain according to proposed proportions.
BMW Twelve-cylinder Engines
Macek, Libor ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with mapping manufacture of BMW twelve-cylinder engines in accordance with current legislation. Thesis described the issue of engine construction and materials with respect to current requirements. Beginning of bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to the history od the BMW brand, especially to founders, first made vehicles and iconic vehicles. Carmaker has celebrated 25 years anniversary of V12 engines in 2012. Third chapter is dedicated to engine marking, because engine marking is difficult to understand. The next chapter is the most comprehensive because it contains a list of engines, including their description and comparison with the competition. In addition to passenger vehicles is thesis briefly focused on sport cars engines and prototypes that were never been mass-produced. The last chapter is devoted to the used technique, primarily to variable valve timing and variable valve lift . Furthermore, it aims to High Precison Injection, Electronic throttle control valves , CAN-Bus and marginally also TwinPower Turbo. In conclusion of the thesis is list of sources, tables and pictures of all engines and pictures explaining used techniques.
Piston and Connecting Rod Assemblies of a SI Engine
Adam, Petr ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the design piston and connecting rod set, where was chosen for design the six-cylinder four-stroke spark-ignition engine. In design is going from existing engine, where are designed all parts of piston and connecting rod set on base of it. Subsequently is constructed mathematical model of kinematic and dynamics. Finally is going from dynamic for execution of strength control.
Piston and Connecting Rod Assemblies of a CI Engine
Řehůřek, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of the piston and connecting rod assemblies of selected CI engine. Before a design is created short background research of pistons and connecting rods of CI engine. Next is an analysis of the crank mechanism, which is used in the strength control of the piston and connecting rod. The work also contains drawings.
Formula Student intake system
Ševčík, Miroslav ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes air intake design of Formula Student cars. The first section describes the rules of the competition. In second part we can find description of individual components of the intake system. The third chapter describes the different ways of supercharging and cars that use them. The last chapter provides an overview of possible innovations in the rules for 2015.
Engines of MotoGP motorcycles
Pacut, Patrik ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a description of engine concepts which are used in racing motorcycles. The attention is aimed on racing motorcycles in MotoGP class. The thesis describes their development, technical parameters and construction solutions.
Fuel Systems with Pressure Accumulator
Buchta, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the Common Rail injection system for diesel engines. There is described each component, function principle and history of the system. It deals with currently used systems, theirs application in passenger cars engines and theirs effect on emissions in exhaust gases. It is concluded that the Common Rail injection system is currently the best, which we can use in passenger's cars diesel engines.
Technology of Selective Catalytic Reduction for Passenger Cars
Jurík, Juraj ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the selective catalytic reduction technology. It concerned of reducing nitrogen oxides in diesel engines. It describes components of the technology, their function and location in system. in first chapter there are described harmful substances of exhaust gas in connection with this technology. Second chapter contains description of emission standards. Next chapters are describing selective catalytic reduction and solutions of some manufacturers.
