Dynamic and heat transfer analysis of a container with measuring instruments for space probes
Zolotarev, Igor ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Šnábl, Pavel ; Gabriel, Dušan ; Dobiáš, Jiří ; Masák, Jan ; Snížek, Jan ; Souček, Jan
Rocket boosters and spacecraft are subject to intense acoustic environments during launch, which induce high levels of vibration in structural elements and equipment. In addition, elastic structural interactions with propulsion systems and flight control systems can produce low-frequency, high-deflection flight instabilities. Natural vibration of the container with measuring equipment were studied by numerical and experimental methods in the laboratory of Institute termomechanics CAS. Heat transfer analysis inside the container was made by FEM with respect to the conditions during start of the rocket and work in space.\n
Contribution to HPC FEM calculations of bladed disk dynamics with dry-friction contacts
Pešek, Luděk ; Šnábl, Pavel ; Bula, Vítězslav
The experimental set-up for studying dynamical behaviour of the bladed wheel with pre-stressed dry-friction contacts in tie-bosses was built. The numerical solution of the turbine bladed wheel with tie-bosses based on 3D finite element method with surface to surface dry-friction contact model is proposed. Comparison of experimental and preliminary numerical results of dynamical behaviour and damping estimation of our bladed wheel design yielded a reasonable agreement. Due to dry-friction contacts and non-linear solution of 3D FE model it, however, leads to HPC computations and long computation times. The contribution deals with description of computational strategy for damping evaluation and achieved results, too.
Influence of contact region size between damping wire andand metal ring on overall damping
Šnábl, Pavel ; Pešek, Luděk ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Cibulka, Jan
Damping wire curved to circular shape is inserted into a groove of slightly smaller diameter in damped steel ring. Deformation of circular-shaped wire causes uneven distribution of pressure in the groove and evenno contact between the wire and the groove in some regions. Experimentaimed for nding those regions was performed and the results are shown.Axial pre-stress of the wire was then applied and it was proven that it helps to reduce the regions with no contact. Dynamic test were made to see how larger contact region achieved by axial pre-stress inuences overall damping of damped steel ring.

Extension of backlash based dry friction model in simulink and comparison with dahl and lugre models on simulations of blade triple
Šnábl, Pavel ; Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav
Behaviour of analytical dry friction model based on SIMULINK. Backlash block with Coulomb friction is compared with Dahl model. The Backlash based model is herein extended to contain velocity-dependent friction characteristic and is compared with LuGre model. All models are used on analytical model of blade triple with mistuned blades and vibration attenuations from first resonant mode of this system are compared. Instability of Dahl and LuGre models for large time-step are shown.
Behaviour of extended backlash based dry friction model in Simulink in comparison with Dahl and LuGre models
Šnábl, Pavel ; Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav
Behaviour of analytical dry friction model based on SIMULINK Backlash block which was extended to contain velocity-dependent friction coefficient characteristic is studied. Comparison with the same model but with Coulomb friction characteristic and with Dahl and LuGre models is shown. Different simulation time-step is needed for each model to reach stability when increasing motion amplitude.
Testing of HPD model of dissipated energy of hard rubbers at torsional finite Deformations and temperatures
Šulc, Petr ; Pešek, Luděk ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Šnábl, Pavel
This paper deals with the temperature dependence of hard rubber behavior on torsional harmonic loading. This behavior was described by dissipated and deformation energy of the rubber. This knowledge was used to test the validity of the hyperelastic proportional damping (HPD) in dependence on temperature and finite deformations. From the experiments, the dissipated energy was obtained from the hysteresis loop in one period of harmonic load, depending on the temperature for the given frequency. The deformation energy was determined from the shear stress analysis on the surface of the cylinder considering hyperelasticity. The constants of these models were obtained by optimizing the stress-strain curve from the shear analysis on the cylinder surface. With this optimization, the Yeoh hyperelastic model was chosen.

Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Šnábl, Pavel ; Boháč, T. ; Tašek, H. ; Běhálek, V.
Experimental modal analysis with one (SIMO) and two (MIMO) exciters with the following objectives: (a) to develop a test methodology to evaluate the friction effect of the damping ring on the vibration damping of the wheel, b) to describe changes in the measured dynamic amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics to the excitation amplitude and to show the non-linear frictional behavior of the circular damping ring in the wheel groove for different natural vibration shapes was carried out in the dynamic laboratory of Bonatrans a.s. on 11-16 June 2019. The proposed methodology and analysis of the measured results in terms of the effect of the friction couplings of the circular wire are described in the report. This work was performed for design of the damping friction ring with variable curvature and optimal distribution of contact pressures in the groove, which is the aim of the DELTA project.\n
Experimental analysis of bladed wheel modelwith tie-boss couplings – steady and rotational states
Pešek, Luděk ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Šnábl, Pavel ; Cibulka, Jan
Experimental modal analysis of the proposed model of bladed wheel with tie-boss couplings was performed for validation of the numerical FE model. The pre-stresses in contacts were set and evaluated indirectly by the magnetic torque sensor. Then dynamical tests of bladed wheel under revolutions were performed. Theelectromagnetic synchronized pulses were used for excitation of forced vibration of the wheel. The Campbell diagram of the wheel with prestressed contacts was created from the measurement under revolutions. From the attenuation of resonant vibration of the wheel the dampingwas evaluated.
