Design of an audit system for the control of systems and services in a computer network.
Šimkovič, Peter ; Michal,, Plaga (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of an audit system with which it will be possible to detect security gaps in a computer network. Detection will take place on the basis of checking predefined ports and services running on them. Based on the output of the audit system, possible measures and rules necessary to correct security gaps will be proposed. The system itself will be designed to ensure its easy implementation for any customer.
Game server security design
Marek, Milan ; Vilém,, Hujňák (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis focus on game server security which is connected directly to the internet. Based on current security and scanning the server with penetration testing tools, I designed complete methodology for fixing security issues and vulnerabilities.
Implementation of a tool for cyber security management
Strachová, Zuzana ; Josef,, Horáček (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the implementation of a software tool to increase the effectiveness of cyber security management. The tool is implemented in a company preparing to be classified as a part of critical information infrastructure. Based on the customer's requirements, a suitable cyber security management tool is selected. Subsequently, I propose a methodology for implementing the tool, which I immediately apply. The output of the work is an implemented tool, risk analysis and security documentation required by law.
Primary School Computer Network Design
Badin, Vojtěch ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the design of a functional reliable computer network for primary school. The master ‘s thesis analyses the current state of the communication infrastructure of the primary school and the own solution is implemented based on this analysis. Part of the solution deals with implementation of an application for distance education and the basic setup of the school computer server. The master ‘s thesis contains the design of cable routing routes, selection of active elements, Gantt chart of the project and economic evaluation of the whole project.
Increasing security awareness in the company
Novák, Petr ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on increasing security awareness in the company. The first chapter contains the theoretical background, which is necessary for creating a security education system. The second chapter deals with the analysis of the current situation, which is needed for determinating the need to increase security awareness. The third and last chapter contains the design of the education system itself.
Raman spectroscopy teaching equipment
Indra, Zdeněk ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Škarvada, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis examines the principle of the Raman phenomenon and the function of the Raman spectrometer in order to build a low-cost Raman spectrometer assembly for school laboratory teaching. The thesis lists the important parts of the device and describes their key features. Subsequently, the selection of each component is discussed and a basic experiment is performed to verify the principle of this spectrometer. In the final part, a low-cost Raman spectrometer is constructed and tested thanks to the knowledge gained.
The impact of psychosocial and emotional stress on child growth and development
Benešovská, Stáňa ; Sedlak, Petr (advisor) ; Kalvachová, Božena (referee)
Chronic exposure to stress in humans causes a stress response in the body. Its task is to maintain homeostasis and protect the body from damage. Stress has been shown to adversely affect nervous and endocrine regulatory mechanisms. Closer attention is paid to the effect on the reproductive, thyroid and somatotropic axis. The aim of this work is to summarize the basic knowledge about the impact of psychosocial and emotional stress on the postnatal growth and development of the child and describe the related pathophysiological processes.
Design of detection tool for security gaps of servers in wide network
Chudý, Martin ; Zápotočný, Matej (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with proposal of server security gap detection system placed into wide network. On the base of detection system ouput there are rules for scanner data evaluation. After detecting specific security vulnerabilities is created methodology for fixing security gaps onto servers.
SQL Injection Technique - its Methods and Methods of Protection
Bahureková, Beáta ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
SQL injection is a technique directed against web applications using an SQL database, which can pose a huge security risk. It involves inserting code into an SQL database, and this attack exploits vulnerabilities in the database or application layer. The main goal of my thesis is to get acquainted with the essence of SQL injection, to understand the various methods of this attack technique and to show ways to defend against it. The work can be divided into these main parts, which I will discuss as follows. In the introductory part of the work I mention the theoretical basis concerning SQL injection issues. The next chapter is focused on individual methods of this technique. The analytical part is devoted to mapping the current state of test subjects, scanning tools, which form the basis for optimal research and testing of individual SQL methods, which are discussed in this part from a practical point of view along with the analysis of commands. In the last part I will implement SQL methods on selected subjects and based on the outputs I will create a universal design solution how to defend against such attacks.
Project of communication network infrastructure for office building
Kajan, Tomáš ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a communication infrastructure of a multi-story office building. The work deals with a design of a metallic horizontal wires, as well as optical vertical wires between the floors of the building. One of the main factors, which the proposal was based on, was the possibility of renting the building to several tenants. As a part of the project is also partially designed wireless network and the whole work is concluded by an economic evaluation, witch contains active elements, passive elements and approximate price of passive elements installation.
