Kohonen network
Fic, Miloslav ; Hynčica, Tomáš (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with self-organizing networks and its learning mechanism. The activation, adaptation and application of Kohonen network are discussed in this thesis. The program Kohonen neural network is described. The practical part of this work analyzes effect of learning parameters choice on final state of Kohonen network and how do this learning parameters affect learning process. The effect of weight vector initialization on the final best-matching neuron “position” is analyzed.
Nanofluids
Cabúk, Matej ; Kárník, Jan (referee) ; Fic, Miloslav (advisor)
Nanomaterials are phenomena of present time in science and technology. Nanofluids are fluids with original characteristics. In this thesis are presented production methods and effect of nanoparticles onto basic thermophysical properties. Applications of nanofluids are attractive. It is used mainly in heat transfer systems, but can be used in wide area. It can increase the performance a efficiency, save energy and money but also rescue human lives.
Automatic Irrigation Systems
Vrbka, Tomáš ; Fic, Miloslav (referee) ; Kárník, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the possibilities of using automatic irrigation systems. The goal of this thesis is to create a design solution for specified parameters of the football pitch. The parameters include dimensions of the pitch and the parameters of already placed pump. In addition to the design solution the thesis includes theoretical part which deals with the description, design and installation of an automatic irrigation system and its components in addition to design solution. The thesis also includes the calculation of pressure losses of the irrigation system and a price estimate for the designed components of the irrigation system.
The force of water jet on a flat surface
Kasal, Milan ; Soukup, Lubomír (referee) ; Fic, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses about the theory of fluid mechanics. In the first part of work are listed the basic hydrodynamic laws for ideal and real fluid. Further there was derived force acting on the surface. The second part is devoted to the practical use of force water jet to generate electricity and cutting of material. The objective of the last section, was practical verification of derived relations during laboratory measurements.
Boundary Vorticity Element Method for 2D Fluid Flow
Fic, Miloslav ; Pochylý, František (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with boundary vorticity element method for 2D fluid flow. The aim of this work is to program this method with continuous vorticity lay-out and to validate method with various boundary conditions. The computed results are presented in this work. Advantages and disadvantages of each one boundary condition are pointed out. New one boundary condition for boundary vorticity element method is applied in this thesis.
Adaptation of parameters in fuzzy systems
Fic, Miloslav ; Jura, Pavel (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with adaptation of fuzzy system parameters with main aim on artificial neural network. Current knowledge of methods connecting fuzzy systems and artificial neural networks is discussed in the search part of this work. The search in Student’s works is discussed either. Chapter focused on methods application deals with classifying ability verification of the chosen fuzzy-neural network with Kohonen learning algorithm. Later the model of fuzzy system with parameters adaptation based on fuzzyneural network with Kohonen learning algorithm is shown.
Water Jet Cutting
Odehnal, Ondřej ; Fic, Miloslav (referee) ; Kárník, Jan (advisor)
The following bachelor’s thesis deals with an unconventional technology of waterjet cutting. Content of the thesis is focused on the description of the technology, basic classification and description of utilization methods. Machinery used in this technology is described below. At the beginning, this work introduces the history and describes the principle of the water jet. Following is the classification of the methods used for water jet. The most important components of devices operating with this technology are described in the next section. The last part is the description and evaluation of an experimental verification of theoretical knowledge. The quality of cut and the behavior of the water jet was examined for different cutting parameters on cutting samples. Evaluation of the thesis is included in the conclusion.
Control systems of Kaplan Turbine
Pavelka, František ; Kárník, Jan (referee) ; Fic, Miloslav (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor´s thesis is to list briefly the most common types of water turbines and explain the construction and especially regulation of Kaplan water turbine. Second task is to describe individually both regulatory mechanisms and movements in the machine during the regulation by distributor and by blades of runner wheel. The next intention is to describe the influence of regulation on the efficiency curve and further briefly explain and compare the modern control systems of turbine regulation with the old way using the centrifugal regulator.
Maximum attainable efficiencies of one-stage volute pumps
Galuška, Jiří ; Fic, Miloslav (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with European Commission Regulation EUROPUMP for minimun allowable efficiency of the one stage volute pumps. Thesis deals with definition, time table and criteria for measurement these pumps. Further thesis deals with total efficiency of the pipe system in relation to pump efficiency. Follow example of a calculation of the one stage volute pump.
Models of vehicle´s kinetic energy recovery
Fic, Miloslav ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with analysis of existing knowledge in the area of vehicle kinetic energy recuperation models. This analysis is mainly focused on hydrostatic regenerative braking system models. This paper introduces stances of some authors, mathematic relationships and program tools useful for simulation of these models. Afterwards is estimation of shown studies and at least is presented future development of hydrostatic regenerative braking systems. This paper gives a sight of hydraulic recuperation system problems and it could be used as the theoretical element for next research in recuperation models area.
