Environmental and economical evaluation of clean vehicles promotion: Final report

This project was focused on environmental and economic assessment of tools for indirect promoting of clean vehicles. During the solution was proposed a set of possible support tools. The locality for application of tools was identified on the basis of air quality analysis. For the chosen city was created and calibrated the traffic model which was extended by two scenarios. These scenarios include a set of proposed tools for promoting of clean vehicles. The chosen scenarios were assessed environmentally and compared with the basic present state. On the basis of the environmental assessment was prepared the dispersion studies which were used as a basis for the assessment of impacts on human health. Other outputs of environmental assessment were used for the economic evaluation of proposed tools for promoting of clean vehicles.

The graduation theses ?Coppola?s approach to the Godfather? deals with the situation before the actual production of the film, tells us about conditions the film studio Paramount was in and about the difficult pre-production process, that in many aspects influenced the final feature presentation. There is also an analysis of Michael Corleone?s story and motives, that controverts with the myths and reality of American Mafia.

Atom Egoyan's Films

This thesis is dealing with a film creation of Canadian director Atom Egoyan. It includes more detailed survey of his filmography divided into several periods. It pays attention namely to his feature films, but also to important short films. Marginally it mentions works for television. Separate subject matter is an Armenian ethnicity. Repeated themes in Atom Egoyan?s creation are an influence of communication technologies on human relationships, alienation, dysfunctional family, identity, etc. The analysis individual films concentrate on narrative method, structure, typical creative marks and style, but mainly on characters. Dramaturgically study is psychological and sociological orientated.

The czech drugs film

In my thesis I interest in Czech films with a drug subject matter. I compare the creative approaches of individual authors, which is concentrated on the central characters. The thesis contains a study of several well-known Czech films. It also contains a brief comparision with the world film-makers. At the beginning I survey the history of drug problems in Czech Republic a onwards I engage in the individual films. I focus on a use of humor, its method and function there. I reflex the story lines, inner space of characters. I concern with the popular films, even less known ones. I also mention some non-commercial films, a debut and a series episode. I search for the similarities and diffrences. I conclude with the summary.

Chantal Akerman

In this work I am focusing on the personality of Belgian director and screenwriter Chantal Akerman and her style in the movies Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles and La Bas. I chose these two between many for different reasons. These are one of her first movies and one of her last ones, however there is a strong bond between them.
Both movies are similar in how the main character ? a woman who stays at her home better than anything else ? is perceived by the audience. Both women are happy in their stereotypical life and they are fully dedicated to the everyday house chores which stands for some kind of therapy to them. None of these two women is realizing this obvious fact though.
I use these two very personal movies to point out the main topics in Akerman's work. I also use a theory of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to explain the character of Jeanne Dielman more.

This thesis focuses on the detective genre and creating of tension in three Petr Schulhoff?s detective films. It tries to describe rules of a good detective story construction and directorial and screenwriting techniques for tension creating in films. Petr Schulhoff?s films are exceptional by their visual authenticity, compliance with the rules of detective genre and especially by the tension which creates a unique atmosphere.

Heroes in the colors of Zhang Yimou

Heroes in the colors of Zhang Yimou is mostly about three movies from famous director Zhang Yimou. Hero, House of Flying Daggers and Curse of the Golden Flower are epic movies which combine martial arts with drama and philosophy. Stories are amplified and influenced by color stylization. In Hero colors support construction of the movie. Silver and gold are figting against each other in Curse of the Golden Flower and House of the Flying daggers is shot in colors of nature. My work also looks into symbols of those colors and tries to find out whether those symbols are understandable for European as well as for Chinese audience and how European audience can profit from Zhang Yimou´s interpretation of the world.
