In experimental part, 2 of these methodes (DPIBF and DPP degradation) were chosen and tested. Reaction rate constant and conversion were measured. It was found out that DPIBF methode is quick, reliable and reproducable.
Materials for organic electronics
Skrášek, Martin ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
The work contains literature search on organic electronics, especially organic solar cells. There is described in detail their principle of function and used materials. Also there are mentioned possibilities of synthesis of conjugated systems for this applications and methods of their structural, optical and electrical characterization. In experimental section and discussion is introduced synthesis of five new, various substituted derivates of benzylidenaniline and their characterisation together with another seven derivates, whose synthesis has been described in bachelor thesis. There is investigated influence of substituents to chemical shift of hydrogen on imine bridge and to position of absorption peaks in UV-Vis spectra. There also has been found method for fabrication of thin layers and solar cells with bulk heterojunction have been fabricated. Next, V-A characteristics and impedance spectra of the cells were recorded. According to obtained results, investigated systems act as photodiodes and in case of three derivates the photoinduced increase of electric current has been observed. But for application in solar cells it is necessary to shift the position of absorption spectra towards longer wavelengths.
Study of possibilities of increasing the biocompatibility of organic semiconductor surfaces
Malečková, Romana ; Šafaříková, Eva (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of biocompatibilization of organic semiconducting polymer PEDOT:PSS using RGD peptide for the construction of biosensors. Samples were prepared and compared where the RGD peptide was bound directly, as well as samples with a peptide bound via crosslinker molecule sulfo-SANPAH. Whether the RGD peptide was bound to the substrate was determined by the method of measuring the contact angle of liquids with subsequent calculation of surface energy. The results were further verified by elemental analysis, infrared spectrometry and Raman spectroscopy.
Organic materials for bioelectronic applications
Bystřický, David ; Vala, Martin (referee) ; Weiter, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with characterisation of organic semiconductive materials. At first degradation temperatures were discovered by using thermogravimetric analysis. Then by using differencial scanning calorimetry were discovered changes in molecules depending on temperature. In the end of this thesis by OFET characterisation charge carrier mobilities were measured and their dependence on temperature.
Modelling of bioelectronic devices
Truksa, Jan ; Vala, Martin (referee) ; Salyk, Ota (advisor)

This diploma thesis is focused on detecting of defects on BGA (Ball Grid Array) components using of X-ray. Defects are formed during reflow BGA components during assembly, but also later due to mechanical and thermal stress. Therefore, there is an overview of defects and methods of diagnosis of BGA packages eg .: modern X-ray defect detection or micro sections. There is disclosed a device NORDSON DAGE XD7600NT its operation and setup. The device enables advanced methods of scanning called X-plane. For creating 3D models used reconstructive software called CERA, which uses raw data from the method of X-Plane.
Microviscosity probes in study of aggregation in a biopolymer-surfactant system.
Vašíčková, Kamila ; Vala, Martin (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
The effect of cationic surfactant concentration and ionic strength on anisotropy of fluorescence of probes diphenylhexatrien and fluorescein has been investigated in the system of cationic surfactant and in the system of cationic surfactant and hyaluronan. The investigation has been done by fluorescence emission spectroscopy. Obtained anisotropy gives information about microviscosity of investigated systems. Subsequently the system of cationic surfactant and hyaluronan has been investigated by 9-(2-carboxy-2cyanovinyl)julolidine, 4-(dicyanovinyl)julolidine and 1,3-bispyrenylpropane probes. The information about the microviscosity of the system gives the integral under the emission curve of 9-(2-carboxy2-cyanovinyl)julolidine and 4-(dicyanovinyl)julolidine and the ratio between excimer and monomer of 1,3-bispyrenylpropane. It has been discovered that the ionic strength influences the anisotropy of diphenylhexatrien and fluorescein only in the fist addition of salt (concentration 0,025 mol dm-3) and that addition of hyaluronan influences the anisotropy of diphenylhexatrien and fluorescein only in samples without addition of salt. Results of measurment with 9-(2-carboxy2-cyanovinyl)julolidine and 4(dicyanovinyl)julolidine describe the formation of aggregates of catinoc surfactant with hyaluronan and characterize these aggregates from the point of microviscosity.
Study of optical properties of organic materials for nonlinear optical applications
Hrbková, Silvie ; Hrabal, Michal (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with a development of a method for determination of two-photon parametres and its application. The theoretical part includes a description of two-photon absorption processes, most frequently used methods to determine two-photon cross sections and a summary of molecules researched to date in the field. The molecules studied in this work are Rhodamin B and Rhodamin 6G in ethanol, which are applied as standards for the implementation of the method. After that, Diketopyrrolopyrroles U24, U37, U49 and U50 dissolved in DMSO, toluene, acetone and chloroform, are researched. Basic optical characteristics - absoption and emission spectra were experimentally acquired for all the materials. Two-photon characteristics were obtained using a picosecond laser and a Two-Photon Excited Fluorescence (TPEF) method. TPA cross-sections and TPA spectra of Rhodamin B and Rhodamin 6G were measured and discussed. Subsequently, this work focuses on absorption and emission solvatation processes of the selected Diketopyrrolopyrroles. These processes indicate their two-photon efficiency. Finally, TPA spectra of the substances are discussed. Contribution of this work is a developed method for measuring the two-photon characteristics suitable for further use. The outcomes achived, enable extensive research of the Diketopyrrolopyrrols characteristics with the use of the measured standards of the Rhodamin B and Rhodamin 6G.
