Acute effect of head down tilt on blood pressure and haert rate
Tolar, Jan ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Procházka, Michal (referee)
Whereas the effects of a long-term activity of head-down tilt (HDT) in the angle between 3ř and 12ř were examined in details in cosmic medicine as the model of a state of weightlessness, literature concerning effect of HDT on cardiovascular control in the angle over 30ř is scarce. The aim of the thesis is to examine acute reaction of systolic, diastolic, mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate during three minutes of 30ř, 50ř and 70ř HDT, realized on a tilt (inversion) table with fixed legs. For the combination of HDT and head-up tilt (HUT), the following protocol was chosen: 5 minutes lying in a horizontal position (HOR), 3 minutes of 70ř HUT, 3 minutes of 30ř HDT, 3 minutes of HOR, 3 minutes of 50ř HDT, 3 minutes HOR, 3 minutes of 70ř HDT, 3 minutes HOR and 3 minutes of 70ř HUT. A non-invasive continuous Peňáz method, using Finapres Ohmeda, was used to monitor beat-by-beat blood pressure and heart rate. Blood pressure was also measured by sphygmomanometer each minute for calibration. In the angle of 30ř HDT, there was a significant decline of heart frequency (p < 0,01). During the 50ř HDT, there was a significant rise of systolic blood pressure in the third minute, of diastolic and mean arterial pressure each minute and the heart rate dropped significantly (all p < 0.05). In the 70ř HDT,...
Habitual physical activity in Preschool children: Comparison of common Kindergartens and Forest Kindergarten
Zemlerová, Hana ; Procházka, Michal (advisor) ; Havlíčková, Michaela (referee)
The aim of the work was to objectively examine the physical activity of children in two different types of preschools, in forest kindergarten and common kindergartens. The theoretical part deals with the characteristic of movement in the preschool children, with factors influencing physical activity, the benefits for this age and the means for measuring objectively physical activity. Research is focused on one particular forest kindergarten. Pedometer was elected for measuring the examined physical activity. According to the results children in the forest kindergarten make more steps during their stay in school as well as overall per day than children in regular kindergartens. Conversely in the afternoon after leaving the nursery they are less active than the children from regular kindergartens. The most prominent difference in the level of physical activity between the two groups of children showed during their stay in pre-school facilities. Forest nursery could be a good alternative to preschool education in terms of sufficient physical activity.
Determination of Endurance performance by Conconi's test
Hrstková, Vladěna ; Procházka, Michal (advisor) ; Matouš, Miloš (referee)
My Bachelor Thesis summarizes the major determinants of endurance performance. It deals with The Conconi's test, including the current view of the likely explanations of the physiological mechanisms of the heart rate deflection point (HRDP), which provides an explanation for a purely linear, and inflection HRPC. The practice solution observes whether all tested specimens prove the HRDP and whether they end their measurement at its maximal heart rate (HRmax). Furthermore we individually trace the difficulty of field test implementation, the correlation of deflection rate (Vd) and the average rate speed (RS) in 5 km race and influence of results in inadequate physical rest before the actual measurement. The graphs were analyzed to get course of the HRPC. From the given HRPD values were assessed performance indicators of the ANP level, Vd, the percentage of HR of proportion HRDP to HRmax. According to the HRDP result, optimal training intensity development of maximum aerobic capacity was proposed to each specimen.
Policy-related capacities of Czech political parties: the case of shadow ministers in the field of education
Procházka, Michal ; Novotný, Vilém (advisor) ; Veselý, Arnošt (referee)
Policy-related capacities of Czech political parties: the case of shadow ministers in the field of education Author: Michal Procházka Abstract Education is one of the most significant of public policies because it has a crucial impact on the future of the society. Thus, the Ministry of Education represents one of the key departments and political parties are expected to provide highly qualified experts to manage this position. This thesis is focused on the topic of experts of the parties in the Czech republic with special highlight on the shadow ministers, alternatively on relevant spokespersons. The shadow governments provide one possible source of the responsible experts for the political parties since they can prepare their members for the function of a minister through training of their practical skills. However, this thesis focuses mainly on the shadow ministers of the following parties in the Czech republic: ČSSD, KDU-ČSL, KSČM, ODS and TOP 09. Considering that this agenda of those parties has not been studied thoroughly, this thesis is therefore an exploratory study. The political parties also feature expert knowledge with specialized committees for those areas and most of the chairmen of such committees are the leaders in education agenda of those parties. This case study proves the shadow ministers...
The impact of ambient temperature on exertion parametres and their dynamics
Bělohlávek, Jiří ; Procházka, Michal (advisor) ; Slabý, Kryštof (referee)
The aim of the work was comparing physiological mechanisms of mainly cardiopulmonary and respiratory system given different temperatures. The outcome will be review article bringing together studies, which are commonly focused just on one temperature extreme, therefore offering complex overview of the issue. The review article will be completed with realization of own experiment. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
CHR-test-method of excercise testing by endurance sportswomen related to renal functions
Šturmová, Anita ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Procházka, Michal (referee)
The aim of this study was to familiarize and imlement methodics of CHR-test. For using exercise testing were used endurace trained women. The results of exercise testing were compared with previously published study for untrained probands. The paper discussed resulting indexes of testing depending on individual fitness and the conslusiveness itselfs of this type of testing, that is not expanded to date. The next part of the thesis presents the results of experimental work: relations between stress and reaction of kidney in the form of microalbumiuria and transferinuria. Accurate pedometers function using the autocalibration
Kučera, Lukáš ; Slabý, Kryštof (advisor) ; Procházka, Michal (referee)
v angličtině Aim: The aim of this study is to explore the possibilities of accurate pedometer functions through a partial removal of individual measurement errors for a particular pair of pedometer- proband, using the auto-calibration of walking for the previously known distance. Methods: They will be used pedometers of mechanical type YAMAX SW-200 and fully electronic type OMRON HJ-720. Thirty adults from 18 to 69 years old (11 men, 19 women) took part in this study. In the pilot phase will be suggesting of a sufficiently long sections of known length (100 m, 300 m a 1000 m) and auto-calibration on a flat track. Own attempt will consist in landscaping measurement. Resulsts: From everage lengths and from the number of steps, which we measured, is possible to determine distance, which probands covered. The biggest aproach was to real distance 1000 m in case we used everage length of step from distance 300 m. In this case undervaluation of the distance reached in Omron 7 % and with Yamax just 10 %. Howewer the distance as well for Omron was overvalued in 27 % probands and for Yamax it was in 20 % probands. Conclusion: The best possibility seems to be average length of step, which is couted from distance for 100 m. Although there is undervaluation more frequent, overvalution is minimal. It will be...
