Compositions of Igor Stravinsky for Violin
Skalický, Ondřej ; PAZDERA, Jindřich (advisor) ; MATOUŠEK, Bohuslav (referee)
The topic of my thesis is life and work of Igor Stravinsky with norrow focus on compositions for violin. I give greater emphasis to compositions Concerto in D for Violin and Orchestra and the Italian suite with which I have personal experience. Igor Stravinsky composed most of the compositions in the 1930th in cooperation with the violinist Samuel Duskin. Only a few of them are completely original works. The author often used musical themes from his own previously composed ballets, such as the The Firebird, Petrushka, The Soldier's Tale, Pulcinella, or Fairy's Kiss. Composer Igor Stravinsky is certainly a controversial figure. Though essentially a pragmatist, he was always directed more by instinct while creating music. I would like to present to not only violinists interesting circumstances of compositions, even though is still little available informations.

Chudý, Vít ; PAZDERA, Jindřich (advisor) ; , (referee)
Target of this work is in helping with studying of Bach´s Sonatas and partitas. It´s devided to two parts. The first part is called History. Here I´m interresting in form of Bach´s Sonatas and partitas, Bach´s life connected with violin and violin work and also Köthen, the place of origin of Sonatas and Partitas. In the second part, called Interpretation, I look into interpretation´s guestions and problems of this work and also present concrete examples - charakteristic of selected soloists and confrontation. This subjective choice is leaded by difference of time in which the rekord was created, or by expressive differences of time in which the rekord was created, or by expressive differences in interpretation of Sonatas and partitas. The fiction of part called Interpretation is not evaluated "the top record". It´s point is in confrontation of interprets of various era and watching on process of interpretation Bach´s work.
