Wideband Sinuous Antenna with Dual Polarization
Haloda, Jiří ; Tkadlec, Roman (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
This paper deals with sinuous broadband antenna, witch operating frequency 1 to 6 GHz. The antenna parameters, which change their physical dimension were shown in this paper. Antenna structure is planar and feeding network line have to be planar too. There are different ways to describe and construct from unbalanced to balanced line by baluns. There are also design impedance transform to match antenna in this paper. The simulation and measured results are showen the antenna has wideband character.
Radar cross section of passenger cars
Hanslík, Radovan ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is aimed at radar cross section of passenger cars. Basic scattering parameters of simple targets are described. Some numeric methods used for computing radar cross section are discussed. CST Microwave Studio is used for simulation of passenger car with two different solvers. For the results there are plots of radar cross section of a car for 1 GHz, 24.125 GHz and 33 GHz. There is a plot of visualized hotspots.
Fractal pattern patch antenna
Prouza, Jakub ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the application of fractal layouts in the design of microstrip antennas. Attention is turned to assessing their impact on properties of a conventional patch antenna. The first part of thesis is focused on theoretical knowledge of fractal geometry and planar antennas. In the next part of this thesis, first antenna is describer together with ways of its design. In the final section, next fractal antenna design is given. Proposed antenna is made, the results obtained are compared and benefits of the fractal design are evaluated.
HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna array
Horák, Lukáš ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Hubka, Patrik (advisor)
In this work is proposed a HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna arrays. The first antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots and the second antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots with three patches placed near the magnetic wall of HMSIW. The patches improve radiating parametrs of the proposed antenna array. The proposed antenna arrays are manufactured a measured.
60GHz omni-directional antenna
Levocký, Kristián ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with brief research on problematics of antennas in microwave band for omni-directional applications, own design and assembling of such an antenna. The purpose of the design is to have a best possible radiation patterns and reflection loss of our antenna. Conical monopole is chosen and it is simulated and changed to get the best possible parameters. Two prototypes are manufactured with mechanical changes applied and their parameters measured. Finished antenna is used for experimental channel measurement.
Planar parabolic reflector antenna
Procházka, Petr ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with a design of a planar parabolic reflector antenna. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first section is dedicated to the theory of the parabolic antenna design and a basic introduction of the SIW technology which is used for the realization of an antenna prototype. The second chapter deals with the design of individual parts of the antenna (i. e. a primary and secondary reflector and an antenna feeder excited by a waveguide) for particular assignment. The third part is focused on modeling the designed antenna using ANSYS HFSS. Other parts of the thesis include a conversion of the proposed antenna to the SIW technology and a design of a transition between the antenna and a feeding waveguide WR15. The last part of the thesis deals with measuring of the reflection coefficient and the radiation pattern of the fabricated antenna prototype.
Low Altitude FM Radioaltimeter
Pítra, Kamil ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Józsa, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to design a Low altitude FM radioaltimeter based on heterodyne frequency measurement. Radiolocator works in 5,760 GHz frequency band. Its design is based on solving peripheral circuits. There are no RF modules used. Design of each of them is supported by simulations and measurements.
Woven antennas
Fikar, Jan ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed to design textile antennas that can operate in the ISM band 5.8 GHz. Attention is turned to practical exploitation of these antennas under regular conditions. Variations of the bandwidth of the antenna due to washing and waterproofing will be observed. Finally, the impact of the proximity of living tissue on the parameters of antennas will be studied.
Wearable antenna array for backscatter communication
Slot-spiral antenna array
Blažek, Jiří ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The semestral thesis considers a Archimedean spiral slotted leaky-wave antenna as having a beneficial antenna parameters [7], thus aiming at reproducing the results so as to either validate or disprove them. The antenna is fabricated in a way of commonly known leaky-wave antenna, which is based on a substrate-integrated waveguide. Archimedean spiral slots are introduced into the substrate, creating unique structure fed by coaxial conductors. Moreover, claiming to attain beam switching ability, double-layer substrate-integrated waveguide is proposed, having four feeding ports. Both aforementioned structures are created, simulated and comparison is made using the ANSYS HFSS software.
