Powertrain of a modern hybrid vehicles
Novák, Štěpán ; Zajac, Roman (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about the drivetrain in modern hybrid vehicles. It describes the function of a hybrid drivetrain and divides it according to structure, degree of hybridization and placement of the electric motor. It characterizes the design solution of the main components of a hybrid drivetrain. It focuses on the powertrain of selected hybrid vehicles and describes the emissions issue. The conclusion consists of evaluation of the hybrid drivetrain and its vision for the future.
Powertrain of a modern electric vehicles
Mraček, Pavel ; Zajac, Roman (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with powertrains of modern electric vehicles. The opening part briefly mentions the important historical milestones of electric mobility. The main part of the thesis describes different concepts of powertrain layouts and analyses its main components. The described components are mainly electric motors, batteries, and transmissions. The whole thesis is concluded with comparison of mass–produced electric cars divided into two categories according to the price.
High Pressure Injection Systems
Břoušek, Roman ; Otipka, Václav (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is based on high pressure injection system mostly for commercial vehicles. The aim is to describe direct injection systems on specific drive units with methods of reducing emissions and their common issues. Gradually, the parts of injection system are described including their function. By comparing direct injection systems of gasoline and diesel similarities can be notice by aspect of their function. Finally is good to mention onset of electrification and thus develepment of injection systems, which are retreat by combination of financial and technological aspects.
Test Rig Design Proposal for the Experimental Validation of Transmission Parameters in Closed Loop Torque Condition
Otipka, Václav ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of the experimental testing rig. Test rig is designed to measure NVH transmission parameters. First, basic knowledge of vibro-acoustic measurement is discussed. This is followed by an evaluation of the most commonly used power devices to derive real loads on measured gearboxes. In more detail, a back-to-back test rig is disassembled among other things. In the thesis are described two main components, which are composed of a connecting element and a test bench. Both components were optimized during the design due to their modal properties. Numerical modal analysis was performed in ANSYS Workbench software. The thesis also includes strength calculations performed using both numerical and analytical approaches. The indispensable result of the design work is the complete drawing documentation. Finally, measurements of vibrations and noise on the physically made connecting element assembly have been performed and subsequently evaluated.
Vehicles with CNG drive units
Otipka, Václav ; Svída, David (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is devoted to vehicles with CNG drive units. The introductory part focuses on the analysis of fuels that are used for propulsion of piston combustion engines. Not only the very expanded fuels but also unique fuels are analysed. The main part of the thesis describes the construction of mass-produced vehicles powered by natural gas. There are analysed the individual function elements of the vehicle which are different from common vehicles on conventional fuels. Part of the thesis is about CNG vehicle operation including ecological and safety impacts. The whole thesis concludes the current offer of cars on the domestic market.
