Mechanism of a one-cylinder spark ignition engine with elongated expansion
Tokař, Stanislav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the design of crank-type mechanism of engine with elongated expansion. The main attention is paid to examination of the progress of kinematic quantities and inertial forces in mechanism. Further on in the thesis, the analysis of piston-rod stress is carried out and is compared to the piston-rod of standard engine. In the last part of the thesis, there is an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the proposed mechanism solution.
Shape Optimalisation of Aircraft Engine Crankshaft
Vopařil, Jan ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes the variety and the width of issues connected with crankshafts of combustion engines. It distinguishes different factors, which influence the shape and size of these crankshafts and the selected findings are then transferred into the design of crankshaft for the particular engine. The thesis also presents coherent description of application of topology optimization to the particular crankshaft and also different, more complex design procedures leading to the optimal shape of crankshaft are afterwards suggested. Quality of such a design is then verified by comparative analysis of fatigue of the crankshaft.
Intake Control Mechanism of Compressor Housing
Bartoníček, Richard ; Doman, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis pursues a design of mechanism for controlling the amount of air sucked by a turbocharger compressor. In the first part, there is a brief description of a turbocharger and its characteristics, in the second part the usual regulation methodologies are presented. Third, the main part describes the creation of the mechanism from concept drafts and their comparison, through the kinematic and force analysis of control parts, to the complete packaging a connection to the compressor housing. The fourth part is dedicated to the mechanism analysis in the terms of ability to perform as required.
Five-cylinder in-line diesel engine
Parchański, Martin ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is design of in-line a five-cylinder diesel engine arrangement with given main parameters, power train design, balancing centrifugal and inertia moments and calculation of torsion vibrations. The proposed engine must be based on four-cylinder diesel Zetor engine.
Powertrain of in-line three-cylinder diesel engine
Riemel, Pavel ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Objective of bachelor’s thesis is for main predetermined geometric, thermodynamic and operation parameters cylindrical unit of line three-cylinder compression-ignition engine perform calculation of thermodynamic cycle, project basic dimensions of piston group and for noted operating modes perform strength check of con rod eye. Resulting values compare with comparable compression-ignition engine and verify its appropriate functionality. In preamble of work is mentioned compression-ignition engine, its basic usage, principle of function and description its main parts. The work is compound of two basic parts. The first contains description of calculation with related graphic and the second calculating supplement in which are calculations of thermodynamic cycle, forces reacting on piston group, strength calculation and control of con rod eye. At the close results of calculation are analysed.
Powertrain of unconvential V-6 diesel engine with rubber damper
Bečka, Petr ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design the crankshaft fork unconventional six-cylinder with offset pivots, the torque balance, modal analysis, vibration analysis of torsional and torsional vibration damper design, stress analysis using FEM.
Solution of Powertrain Dynamics in Vehicle
Hodas, David ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate and select the most appropriate option how to mount a power unit in Formula Student vehicle. It assesses an overall dynamic behaviour of a drive unit mounted in student formula. At the end of the final thesis is an assessment of proposed engine mount variants. The study of parameters that most influence engine vibrations can be seen there.
Five-cylinder in-line diesel engine with viscous type damper
Procházka, Miloslav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma work is to design moving parts of the five cylinder inline diesel engine with given parameters, then to balance centrifugal forces and moments and design viscous torsional vibrations damper and calculate forced oscilations without the damper as well as with the damper. The designed parts are put to stress analyse by finite elements method. My design is based on similar construction of four cylinder engine Zetor.
Powertrain of in-line five-cylinder diesel engine
Zarambukas, Michalis ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this graduation theses is geometrical and thermodynamic calculation of determined five-cylinder diesel engine and calculation of operation parameters of cylindrical unit and then to compare them with real motor and strike the balance. Other step is to work out thermodynamic cycle and draw the result in p-V diagram. Then to calculate power, effecting on piston which includes proposal of basic proportion of piston and wrist pin, and it follows weigh of piston group and maximal quickening and inertial force of piston group, calculation of specific pressure and pressure in wrist pin. Other purpose is to determine basic proportion for piston rod and to focus on material qualities of con rod eye and bronze case, determination of maximal pressure due to inertial forces comming from gas pressure and security against possible slip and tiredness. At the beginning is described diesel engine from its foundation, its activity to its use in company. At the close are reviewed the results of the calculations.
Turbocharger Vibrations Generated by Internal Combustion Engine
Schulla, Radek ; Vacula, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The content of this master’s thesis is the issue of turbocharger vibrations due to excitation from the internal combustion engine. The theoretical part deals with the noise and vibrations generated by turbochargers and internal combustion engines. It also discusses the effect of vibration on the turbocharger and its individual parts, including the effect of the internal combustion engine. Subsequently, a turbocharger model is created in ADAMS software, the rotor response in turbocharger operating speeds to various excitation frequencies is analyzed and finally the safety of fluid bearings is evaluated and modifications to reduce vibrations are proposed.
