Motor skills of special schools pupils

Title: Motor skills of special schools pupils Objectives: The main purpose of this work was to find out the level of motor skills of specials schools pupils in the practical test battery and the obtained value confront with results of pupils of common primary school. Methods: To determine the level of motor skills of special schools pupils and elementary school pupils was used to test battery Oseretzki for age group 13 - 14 years. The battery includes the following tests - 1. "balance the right and left leg", 2. "coordination of fingers", 3. "jumpig", 4. "tapping", 5. "grading of coin and matches", 6. "wink". Results: In terms of average performance in individual's test was demonstrated lower levels of motor skills of special schools pupils. In terms of values of Cohen's index "d" (outline 0,5) was a lower level of motor skills demonstrated by girls in tests "balance the right and left leg", "knitwork", "tapping" and "wink". By the boys was demonstrated in test "balance to the right and left leg" and "wink". In the overall assessment performance of boys and girls together was lower levels of motor skills detected just a tests "balance to the right and left leg", "koordination of fingers" and "wink". Locomotive activities of handicapped persons living in social services facilities

Title: Locomotive activities of handicapped persons living in social services facilities Objectives: The objective of the thesis was to determine the quantity of locomotive activities offered to handicapped persons living in social services facilities in the Central-Bohemian Region. The research plan pursued the availability, personal experience with, and objective frequency of, free- time locomotive activities of the target group. Methods: The status and the level of locomotive activities offered to handicapped persons were established using mixed research (a combination of qualitative and quantitative research). The collecting of data took place in the form of controlled interviews within which a non-standardized questionnaire divided in six topical modules was filled out with respondents of the age of 18 to 40 (the average age was 31.4). Such topical modules comprised of 94 polytomic questions, 20 dichotomic questions, and 6 open questions that were responded to by the total of 40 persons (20 males and 20 females) from 5 facilities. Personal questioning of a manager also took place in each facility, the manager responding to five pre-defined open and informative questions. Quality of physical training for children integrated into elementary schools in the region of Hradec Králové

Title: Quality of physical training for children integrated into elementary schools in the region of Hradec Králové. Objectives: The main goal of this paper is determining and evaluating the quality of physical training for children integrated into elementary schools in the region of Hradec Králové. Methods: The research was done using questionnaires. The main topics covered by the questionnaires were the inclusion of children into physical training classes, accessibility of school facilities, equipment for PT classes and the content of the PT classes and the education of teachers in the field of special education and applied physical training. The questionnaire was sent to PT teachers at regular elementary schools, at which disabled pupils are integrated. Results: In the paper we discovered flaws in the integration into PT classes that are caused by incorrect function of individual factors influencing the physical training of disabled pupils. These are mainly lack of knowledge of improper exercises and contra-indication for pupils, insufficient education of teachers and incompliance with legal regulations at regular elementary schools in the region of Hradec Králové. Possibilities of motoric education by girls with Rett syndrome

Title: Possibilities of motoric education by girls with Rett syndrome Objectives: Summarization of avaiable information about Rett syndrome, by the use of a questionnaire to learn as most as possible facts from the area of motoric education and physiotherapy by girls with Rett syndrome and to work up case studie of two chosen girls with this syndrome. Methods: The non-standardized questionary was made for the work. Further, case studies, where technique of direct observation, dialogue and document analysis, were used. Results: The inquiry implies that parents of girls with Rett syndrome do, form the point of motoric edducation and physiotherapy, all what they can do. Common motoric education is not due to their medical and psychic state possible, therefore their motoric education constists of physiotherapy (Vojta's reflex locomotion, Bobath concept) and additional therapies (canistherapy, hippotherapy, music therapy, egrotherapy, swimming etc.). These therapies are mostly attended as a part of school education. Trainings take part regulary more than one time a day, not only at school or education facilitity, but at home as well. Title of diploma work: Motoric performance of schoolchidren from special primary school and primary school. Purpose of diploma work: The purpose of this diploma work was to compare level of motoric performance between schoolchildren 8. and 9. year class in special primary school and 8. and 9. year class in primary school and determine if the different is objectively significant.
