The indoor environment of Kindergartens in terms of Building physics requirements
Jechová, Marie ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Bantová, Sylva (advisor)
The thesis titled "The indoor Environment of Kindergartens in Terms of Building Physics Requirements" addresses the challenges associated with ensuring thermal comfort in the indoor environment, while simultaneously providing adequate lighting and daylighting for the classrooms of kindergartens. The thesis is structured into interconnected and complementary sections. The first section dissects the identified problem, establishes legislative requirements, outlines research methods, and defines the objectives, which will be assessed in the conclusion. This section also includes the definition of the kindergarten object in accordance with current legislation. Furthermore, the issues of lighting and daylighting are explained from the perspective of applicable laws, regulations, and standards, incorporating all necessary variables, graphs, formulas, calculations, and definitions. Similarly, subsequent chapters will elaborate on the thermal comfort of the indoor environment. The final section of the theory provides an overview of simulation and computational software tools, employed to model different scenarios, compare the current and proposed conditions, and draw conclusions for the thesis. The practical section follows, focusing on the design of window openings, shading methods, and ventilation regimes to meet the requirements for daily lighting and daylighting while adhering to the maximum indoor air temperature in line with normative requirements. Experimental measurements of essential input data for assessing the thermal stability of the indoor environment were conducted during summer months in the existing facility. In the concluding part of the thesis, conclusions will be drawn regarding the ratio of floor area of transparent parts of building envelopes to the floor area of the classrooms. This is done to ensure compliance with legislative requirements concerning both thermal and lighting comfort in the indoor environment. The conclusion also summarizes potential measures to achieve the desired parameters and outlines a prospective solution to the addressed issues.
Mixed-use building
Slezáková, Tereza ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis depicts project documentation for realization of a mixed-use building in Hradec Králové. The designed object includes fifteen flats in four storeys, a café, a hairdressing salon and no cellar. Vertical load-bearing walls of the first storey are designed to be built of reinforced concrete. Vertical load-bearing walls of the other storeys are designed to be built of ceramic blocks. The outside wall is insulated with expanded facade polystyrene and plastered with a thin-layer textured cream plaster. The last storey has a ventilated facade made of fibre reinforced concrete panels. The openings are filled with plastic windows including an aluminium entrance door with a fanlight. Horizontal constructions are made of monolithic reinforced concrete panels which are reinforced in one dimension. The roofing in designed as a flat roof with a layer of vegetation. The foundations of the multifunctional house are based on concrete piles and a reinforced concrete slab. The design of the object respects current housing in the area. The diploma thesis includes a basic review of construction physics and fire safety layout.

Preparation and analysis of experimental refractory alloy
Krupica, Roman ; Štěpánek, Roman (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a preparation and especially on an analysis of an experimental Fe, Cr, W, Ni, Al, Ti refractory alloy. The first, theoretical, part of the work deals with refractory materials problematics in general. The second part of the work, experimental, is focused on the process of material preparation and its partial analyses in terms of hardness, but mainly in terms of structure. Light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used for these analyses, and energy dispersive spectrometry was used to analyze the chemical composition. The achieved results in all material states indicate that titanium nitrides randomly occur in the structure due to the nitrogen contamination. In the cast state, the material appears to be almost completely homogeneous without any significant casting defects. At grain boundaries, there is a uniform structured Laves phase population based on tungsten. After annealing at 800 °C/1h small fine and evenly distributed precipitates of the Laves phase occur together with even smaller precipitates of an intermetallic phase probably based on nickel and aluminum. Also, the amount of tungsten in the Laves phase at the grain boundaries was increased. During annealing at 1000 °C/5h, the precipitation particles of the Laves phase significantly coarsened and the occurrence of the intermetallic precipitates became uneven. At the same time, the Laves phase at the grain boundaries was again found to have more tungsten in it.
Extension and modernization of social services facilities Nitrava
Mitura, Daniel ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the assessment of the existing facility of social services and the proposal for the modernization of the complex of objects in the facility. To date, the objects are fully utilized. Existing buildings Panel apartment building "A", Panel apartment building "B" and Connecting corridor "D". The existing construction object "C" will be demolished in its entirety. The diploma thesis focuses on the new construction object Extension, which has the task of replacing object "C" and modernizing the social services facility so that it meets the standard conditions. The proposed building is located on land that is accessible from Železničiarska street on the outskirts of Nitra. The extension is located on the north side of the land. The main entrance to the building is solved by crossing the Connecting Corridor. The building has two underground and four above-ground floors. On the 1st floor, there are pharmacy premises, a kitchen with a buffet and facilities, toilets and connecting corridors. In the northwest corner there is a warehouse for landscaping the green areas of the property. In the 1st floor there is a boiler room, a cleaning room and collective garage spaces, which also go into the 2nd floor. The dining room, toilets and chapel are located on the 2nd floor. On the 3rd floor, the premises of the dialysis clinic, workshops and rest rooms serving as clubhouses are accessible from the connecting corridor. On the 4th floor there is an exit to the flat green roof. All floors are connected vertically by two interior staircases and elevators. The supporting system of the substructure is designed from monolithic waterproof reinforced concrete. The structure of the upper structure mainly consists of prefabricated reinforced concrete columns and beams. The rigidity of the upper structure is solved by two stiffening monolithic reinforced concrete cores, in which vertical communications are placed. The supporting elements of the ceilings are designed from prestressed ceiling panels and monolithic reinforced concrete slabs. The building is covered with a green single-layer flat roof. The insulation of the perimeter structures is designed with the ETICS contact insulation system made of mineral wool. The foundation structures are designed as monolithic grids.
