Databases Versioning
Jindra, Petr ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Roupec, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about versioning of databases. Firsts chapters are shortly describing the biggest problems what will need to solve. Thr second part refers to choosen database systems and introcution to SQL language. The last unit describes the development of program solving sketched problems.
Optimalization of Constructional Teams Creation by Genetic Algorithms
Špaček, Jiří ; Zelinka, Ivan (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Ošmera, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis pertains to optimisation of workgroups in companies. It is based on the work of Dr. Meredith Belbin from the Henley Management College, who is the author of the so-called Belbin’s team role theory. The theory defines fundamental roles within a team including specifications of the behavioural patterns while stipulating that in order to ensure proper functionality of a team, it is essential for all the roles to be represented in it. However, in practice it is necessary for specific people to comply not only with certain personal and psychological requirements but also professional expertise and other requirements. Nevertheless, by the means of adding these parameters to specific people, an enormous number of possible alternatives of the resulting team, which may not be evaluated (easily and in the real time) using traditional methods, proves to come to existence. Therefore, the so-called genetic algorithms inspired by natural development processes originally described by J. G. Mendel and Ch. Darwin were selected for evaluation purposes. The genetic algorithms feature good solutions to the task to be resolved in a very short time while the task does not have to be based on exact specifications and therefore several solutions might exist. A Java application was created within the scope of the thesis; its core comprises a genetic algorithm and it was used for the purpose of modelling of specific teams. The results provided by the application were subsequently verified by the means of creation of teams used for completion of new tasks and monitoring their activities in practice. Furthermore, the model verification of teams previously created solely on the basis of experience of executives was performed and the respective results were compared.
Software Support for Timetabling
Macků, Veronika ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Roupec, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the current approaches to scheduling at BUT and other institutions of higher learning and the subsequent creation of a software for semiautomatic timetabling. The first part acts as an introduction to university timetabling problems, the analysis of the given problem and an overview of possible solving algorithms. The second part deals with the creation of the sofware itself and the implementation of the chosen heuristic method.
Routing Problems and Their Solutions
Pospíšil, Václav ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
The first part of the thesis is devoted to an Introduction and a comprehensive description of all important concepts of graph theory, which is followed by descriptions and modifications of two selected types of routing problems: the travelling salesman problem and the vehicle routing problem. The next part of the thesis deals with subsequent possibilities of solving problems through deterministic and stochastic algorithms. It also includes a practical part, which at the end of the thesis deals with the shortest path optimization of the two created models using Nearest neighbour algorithm, Genetic algorithm and solver in GAMS.
Processing of Uncertain Information in Databases
Morávek, Petr ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
The following diploma thesis focuses on processing of uncertain information in databases. Uncertain information represents vague customer requests during laptop choice in classic shop purchasing. Effort of the work is to develop a modern e-shop application selling laptops, which is based on expert fuzzy system helping customers to choose a laptop without knowledge of technical specifications and current trends.
Distribution Problems and Their Modifications
Kučerová, Anna ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This paper describes various modifications of distribution problems. It deals with their models, solutions and corresponding complexity. For selected models, a solution script in GAMS is proposed
Content Management Systems for Websites Creation
Kostka, Dominik ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
Focus of this thesis is to acquaint users with the most widespread freely available content management systems on the market. Then introduce the basic functions of each CMS and compare their functionality. Point out the simplicity and speed of creating websites using CMS. Finally, the work focuses on the attendance monitoring on websites.
Construction of the Optimal Control Strategy for an Electric-Powered Train
Pokorný, Pavel ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Kuben, Jaromír (referee) ; Čermák, Jan (advisor)
Předložená disertační práce se zabývá popisem charakteru optimální strategie řízení pro elektrický vlak a výpočtem přepínacích okamžiků mezi jednotlivými optimálními jízdními režimy pro standardní typy odporové funkce. S využitím Pontrjaginova principu a souvisejících nástrojů teorie optimálního řízení odvodíme optimální strategii řízení a rovnice pro výpočet přepínacích okamžiků včetně odpovídajících rychlostních profilů. Kromě základního tvaru úlohy o energeticky optimální jízdě vlaku budeme uvažovat i její modifikace zahrnující globální rychlostní omezení, sklon trati i časově-energeticky optimální řízení vlaku. Navíc uvedeme i analýzu řešení s využitím teorie nelineární parametrické optimalizace. Důraz je kladen na exaktní tvar řešení s minimálním využitím numerických metod.
Evidence and time consumption analysis of individual operations during moulding
Škrabal, Ondřej ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Poliščuk, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with economical production problem in particular mechanical service. The solution is based on capture of barcode, C# programming language and database engine MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. It provides the user with real results of per hour cost analysis in given process and it also offers recommendations for increasing profit based on analysis of measured data.
Extra High Voltage Substation Configurator
Pokorný, Patrik ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the implementation of a web application for configuring a extra high voltage substation. The application combines a view of a 3D spatial model and a single-line diagram of the configured product. This is achieved using technologies based on HTML5 standard and JavaScript.
