The flow of CO2 from the soil is a very important part of the carbon cycle in an ecosystem. The aim of our work was to determine how roots and rhizospheric fungi contribute to CO2 flux from the soil. Preliminary results from two years of research are presented. The research on how root biomass as well as ergosterol and phytosterol contents in roots and soil affected CO2 flux from the soil was conducted in a 108-year-old Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) forest in the Drahany Highlands during 2010 and 2011. CO2 flow was measured using a LI-8100 portable closed gasometric system (Li-Cor, USA). The dry weight and volume of individual root categories (< 1 mm, 1–2 mm, 2–5 mm, > 5 mm), C and N contents in the roots, as well as ergosterol, β-sitosterol, and campesterol contents in the soil and roots were determined from root-containing soil samples located in the circular measurement chamber. In addition, sterol content was determined in the soil only. Our soil respiration results correspond with the findings of Buchman (2000) who found respiration values between 5–7 μmol CO2 m−2 s−1 in a 111-year-old spruce forest. A significant influence on soil respiration was proven only for sitosterol content in the soil. The relationships among soil CO2 flux, root characteristics, and nitrogen and sterol contents in the roots and soil are discussed.
Employee education system in selected organization
MARKOVÁ, Ivana
The thesis titled Employee education system in selected organization is analyzing the system of education in the Czech Krumau Hospital. The work is an analysis of the education of doctors and nurses, including accurate calculations. In conclusion are done proposals of measure of problems that have been identified by the analysis.
A patient after a diagnostic application of radiopharmaceuticals as a source of radiation - mutual radiation strain of the personnel and patients
MARKOVÁ, Iveta
ABSTRACT A patient after a diagnostic application of radiopharmaceuticals as a source of radiation - mutual radiation strain of the personnel and patients My work focuses on the radiation protection on account of the potential influence of ionizing radiation with its negative effects on a human organism. In my work I concentrated on observing the obtained personal equivalent doses of the ionizing radiation in the Department of Nuclear Medicine in the Hospital of České Budějovice, plc. I also focused on the measurement and assessment of the dose rate obtained by the employees of the Department of Nuclear Medicine in the Hospital of České Budějovice, plc. from treated patients with regard to the distance and type of the applied radiopharmaceutical. The methods chosen for the actual measuring, gathering, recording and assessment of the data are described in a great detail and presented in the methodology of my work. The data obtained from the personal TL dosimeters is registered and filed in the Department of Nuclear Medicine in the Hospital of České Budějovice, plc. on a long term basis. Therefore it enabled me to analyze the equivalent dose of four nurses during the last five years. The results were compared with the figures determined in the regulation 307/2002 of the Code, as amended by regulation 499/2005 of the Code. The results are then clearly presented in tables and graphs. The collected data has confirmed that the values of equivalent doses obtained from the personal TL dosimeters of four nurses working in the Department of Nuclear Medicine in the Hospital of České Budějovice, plc. do not exceed figures determined by the regulation 307/2002 of the Code, as amended by regulation 499/2005 of the Code. The measured dose rates decrease with the distance and are proportional to the activity and type of radiopharmaceutical.
Passato Remoto in Contemporary Italian
MARKOVÁ, Iva
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to describe Passato remoto in the present system of Italian tenses. The first part is based on an examination the work of Italian contemporary linguists Dardani M., G. Patoty, L. Renziho, L. Serianniho and a Czech linguist S. Hamplova. Thesis represents a concept of how to use Passao remoto, and Passato prossimo. This theoretical part, deals with parameters that affect competition of use. Practical part shows a presence of Passato remoto mainly in relatively extensive literary text of ten Italian authors who are representatives of different Italian regions. In coclutsion there are presented criteria of the competition of Passato remoto and Passato prossimo. Key reason for the competition of these two tenses is subjective choice of speaker, other reasons are marginal.
Quality of life of a person with psoriasis
MARKOVÁ, Iva
Psoriasis is not an illness just of these days. 3-7% of world population suffers from this illness. This diploma work focuses on quality of life of ill people. We guess that it influences such a client in a holistic way. This illness interferes into personal, professional and social life. So psoriasis is not just an illness but also an everyday problem or handicap for those who get ill.Two questionnaires were made for this research, where first of those is focused on quality of life by a standard questionnaire and the second one was created on the base of analysis of D. Johnson model. Those questionnaires were given out to ill in South and Central Counties of Bohemia. The respondents were to chose, after their completing, which one is more sensitive to problems implying from this illness. The results are graphically shown and then paid attention in chapter Discussion. Finally I would like to say, those hypotheses were acknowledged. Psoriasis influences life in a holistic way, a nurse can have a significant influence on well-being of a client with this illness in area of her nursing interventions and D. Johnson model is an effective tool for providing those ill with psoriasis with care.
The role of fatty acid transporter Fat/CD36 in disturbaces of lipid metabolism and glucose utilization in insulin resistance
Kazdová, L. ; Burešová, M. ; Marková, I. ; Pravenec, Michal
The role of transgenic Cd36 expressed exclusively in muscle tissue was not sufficient to ameliorate insulin resistance and dyslipidemia. Wild type Cd36 must be expressed in additional tissues to exert its beneficial effects
Radiation regime of spruce forest stand in the locality Bílý Kříž in Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains
Janouš, Dalibor ; Marková, I.
Following radiation characteristics were used to describe the radiation regime of the study forest site: a)transmitation of the spruce stand for PAR, b)reflectation of spruce stand for PAR, c)absorbation of spruce stand for PAR.
