This diploma thesis deals with an image capturing by a CMOS image sensor and controlling of graphical LCD displays using specialized integrated circuits. A theoretical research on the topic and design of the system designed for ease of processing, transmitting and still images displaying based on this research is described in this work. The output of the work is complete the device realized.

The tube lights starter

This thesis is about design of the electronic ballast used for starting and dimming six 40 W fluorescent lamps. Controlling is provided by button and analog input. In the work it is used micro-controller which controls excitation circuit of transistors in the half-bridge driver IR2104. The electronic ballast is created for two fluorescent lamps with possibility to add other modules. Behavior of the ballast was simulated, and then it was measured on constructed devices.

Determination of the working range and efficiency of the water hammer pump

This thesis focuses on setting the range and efficiency of a water ram pump through experimental measurements in a laboratory. The measurements were carried out on three different constructions of water ram pump, each of the designed and assembled by the author of this thesis himself, to find out whether the weight on the pulsating valve has an influence on the water ram pump efficiency. Further on this thesis aims at the comparison of up to now methods of water transport arrangement used at a summer camp and the usage of the water ram pump and its advantages. The principal of water ram pump originates in hydraulic impact that is being precisely described in a great detail as well. On of the chapters even includes the placement manual for the water ram pump and its overall assembly and connexion. Because the presence of floating debris is inevitable, this thesis also deals with the possibility to solve the incoming water impurities by adding an inflow gating to prevent such problem. This inflow gating has only been designed in a Flow 3D programme to introduce the idea and functions.

Adaptation of heatable tribometric tool for series testing

Tato práce se zabývá konstrukcí tribometrického nástroje pro zkoušky podle tribologických principů „pin-on-disc“ a „disc-on-disc“, v obou konfiguracích jsou nástroje axiálně zatěžovány při jejich současné rotaci. Hlavními úkoly této práce jsou ohřev nástroje a rychlá výměna nástrojů. Je simulován ohřev vzorků metodou konečných prvků s pomocí softwaru Ansys, následně je realisována a úspěšně testována konstrukce upínání diskových vzorků, přičemž jsou zohledněny výsledky simulace.

Flying robot for geophysical purposes

This work deals with the selection of UAV configurations with vertical take-off and landing and the hovering ability. Therefore it is focused on a mostly helicopter conceptions, especially the ones used UAVs or those which may seem suitable for UAV usage. It also contains the thrust measurement. The final part is aimed at design of four configurations suitable for UAV and their comparison using AHP.

Water supply of scout camp by hydraulic ram

This work is dealing with water supply of a scout camp from Trusovický potok. The water is pumped with a ram pump to the water tank. The construction of the ram pump is simplified and it is collected from commonly available fittings and fixtures. The water from the tank is distributed by pipe network gravitationaly. Operating charakteristics of the hydraulic ram pump were measured in the laboratory.

Ondřej Dušek, Ph.D., Institute of Formal and Applied Lin- guistics Abstract: A necessary part of any text-to-speech system is the normalization of num- bers and words containing numbers. The accuracy of this process can significantly affect the quality of the resulting speech. The main goal of this work is the design and imple- mentation of a number normalization module for Czech. Words containing digits are first assigned to one of the predefined categories. Based on the category given, possible spoken forms are subsequently generated. For the selection of the contextually correct variant, an existing language model is used. The system is distributed as a Python package and can run on Linux or in a Docker container whose configuration is part of the project. Moreover, a specialized data annotation application has been designed and written for creating the datasets for the Czech text normalization task. Two datasets with 1,882 sen- tences and 3,185 words requiring normalization were obtained using the data annotation service. Utilization shielding in emergencies

The bachelor work deals with protection buildings for the civilian population. The topic is using protection buildings during crisis situations. The main goal is a comparison of shelters based on theirs parameters, which affect number of survivors. Partial goals are creation shelter database in the Czech Republic and evaluation protection buildings´s preparation. The objectives are fulfiled with SWOT analysis, creation of ideal shelter and processing of evaluation.

Automatic detection of driving lanes geometry based on aerial images and existing spatial data

The aim of the thesis is to develop a method to identify driving lanes based on aerial images and existing spatial data. The proposed method uses up to date available data in which it identifies road surface marking (RSM). Polygons classified as RSM are further processed to obtain their vector line representation as the first partial result. While processing RSM vectors further, borders of driving lanes are modelled as the second partial result. Furthermore, attempts were done to be able to automatically distinguish between solid and broken lines for a higher amount of information contained in the resulting dataset. Proposed algorithms were tested in 20 case study areas and results are presented further in this thesis. The overall correctness as well as the positional accuracy proves effectivity of the method. However, several shortcomings were identified and are discussed as well as possible solutions for them are suggested.
