This work consists of two parts, general and special. On the special one was focused more attention. In the general part we can learn basic information about anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the knee. There is described the mechanism of injury of a soft knee, methods of examination and diagnosis, treatment of LCA rupture with conservative and surgical treatment and rehabilitation before and after a surgery. The special part gives a detailed description of the case of study of a patient after ACL rupture. The study has been made during the continuous professional experience, which I undertook at the end of January and February in the Regional Hospital Kladno.
Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Back Schools in Vertebrogenic Syndromes of Low Back
Spálovská, Hana ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Back Schools in Vertebrogenic Syndromes of Low Back Objectives: To compare the effectiveness of particular back schools. The main goals were to prove the successfulness of back schools in patients with vertebrogenic algic syndrome, to find out jobs with the most promising response to back schools and to reveal possible use of back schools in children. Methods: The dissertation has a descriptive-analytical character and was conducted as a literature review. Results: The results showed the effectiveness of the back schools concept in chronic low back pain. The effect was particularly obvious after two-month duration of the programmes. The most promising results were observed in professionals whose lumbar spine is overexerted due to heavy loads lifting or due to daily routines set into ergonomically inconvenient workplace. The back school concept might be used in children as well, who can mainly take advantage of active exercises and correct ergonomics. This dissertation also sums up other physiotherapeutic concepts relating to this subject. Key words: Back school, low back pain, prevention

Bílková, Martina ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title Evaluating the Effect of Spa Treatment for Ideopatic Scoliosis Objectives The main objective of this work is to evaluate effect of spa treatment for children with ideopatic scoliosis at age of 12-15 years. My objective was to find out the efficiency of spa treatment. I also would like to find out a long-term effect while comparing girls and boys. A long-effect means, that the spa effect will last at least until the next spa visit. The next objective was to find out how many children are affected by ideopatic scoliosis, or how many children suffer from bad body posture. I was also seeking, if there is sufficient number of spa centers for treating these kinds of diseases in Czech Republic. Methods This work has a scientific character. It is a retrospective study focused on evaluation of the effect of spa treatment for children with ideopatic scoliosis. For evaluating the rate of improvement, informations from semi-standartized tests was used. These tests are used in the spa centre in Lázně Bělohrad, Czech Republic. I extracted a selected category of patients, compared these data, and visualised them in a graphs. There are 5 physioterapists working in this centre, and all of them are using the same methods for patient monitoring. However, all data had to be standardised before working with them,...

Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of patient after implantation of unicompartmental knee replacement Summary: This study focuses on the kazuistic of the patient with unicompartmental knee replacement. It consists of a general and a specialized part. In the first theoretical part are described the anatomic structures, biomechanics of the knee, gonarthrosis, the conservative and surgical treatment of gonarthrosis, and are also discussed approaches of physiotherapy in patients after partial knee replacement. The main part of thesis is the specialized part. In this second part, a case report is described. It contains anamnesis, initial kinesiologic examination, course of the therapy, final kinesiologic examination and evaluation of the therapy. The results of physiotherapeutic care of the patient are: increased range of motion of the knee, improvement of muscular strength of lower limbs and the overall improvement of the patient, leading to self-sufficiency. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of unicondylar knee joint and the practical application of physiotherapy practices for selected patient. Key words: Knee joint; unicondylar endoprotesthesis; physiotherapy.
The effect of manual lymphatic drainage on the musculus soleus muscle tension in patients with chronic venous insufficiency
Květoňová, Hana ; Jalovcová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: The effect of manual lymphatic drainage on the musculus soleus muscle tension in patients with chronic venous insufficiency. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to summarize theoretical knowledge about chronic venous insufficiency, muscle tension and manual lymphatic drainage and then to perform a pilot study to determine whether people suffering from chronic venous insufficiency have changed muscle tone of musculus soleus and to verify whether the implementation of a single manual lymphatic drainage of the lower limbs results in a change of muscle tension of musculus soleus. Methods: There were three patients who participated in the experiment. Anthropometric examinations of circuits of both lower limbs on all patients was carried out, using measuring tape and then a muscle tone of musculus soleus was measured using a device called myotonometer. After that the single manual lymphatic drainage of one lower limb (more affected lower extremity) was performed. The second, untreated leg was considered to be the control limb. There was also performed basal treatment of the neck, before every manual lymphatic drainage of lower limb. Circumferential dimensions of both lower limbs were measured immediately after manual lymphatic drainage and then 15 minutes later again. After that the muscle tone of...
