Applications development for Android
Kvasnička, Jaroslav ; Mego, Roman (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The semester project for Android Application Development describes the tools, options and available resources for developing applications on the Android operating system. The work has several parts. The first part is devoted to the presentation of the Android system and available tools for application development. The next section is devoted to the development of sample applications, which explains the procedures for creating the application itself in different environments. The third part is devoted to design an experimental communications network for smart home controlled by a device running Android. The conclusion is devoted to the evaluation of the application development and communication networks. Also it discusses the possible suggestions for its improvement and expansion.
Camera slider control
Rajnoch, David ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of stepper motor digital controller that manages camera slide movement. The main elements are microcontroller ATmega16 and stepper motor driver TOSHIBA TB6560. Controller allows a time-lapse mode and continuous linear movement including smooth start and stop. Human interaction is based on joystick input and text display connected via HD44780 interface. The theoretical part describes stepper motors and their control modes. The practical part deals with design of electronic circuit and test of functionality.
Parallel signal processing with help of GPU
Václavík, Jiří ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
In the introduction, the bachelor thesis outlines the origins of modern graphic processors. The theoretical part of the text describes the minimum of required information from parallel programming model essential to program simple DSP algorithms. The next part elaborate on three common DSP algorithms, finite impulse response filter, naive implementation of discrete cosine transform type II, and fast Fourier transform. To demonstrate parallel capability of GPU, algorithm for JPEG compression was chosen as JPEG compression is favorable because it illustrates both advantages and disadvantages of parallel data processing on GPU, and compromises needed to be considered.
Robotic manipulator
Navrátil, Luděk ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
The project target was to design a control system of the robotic manipulator with a computer vision. The experimental manipulator was made in this project. The electronic control unit was also designed to receive instructions from the PC, process them and to generate signals which controll the manipulator. The PC program is another part of the project. It is able to perform the calculations which are necessary for an accurate control of the manipulator, and find objects in a web camera view and direct the manipulator to them. The program is also able to handle input values which were entered by a user and communicate with the control unit.
Digital techniques in laboratory
Harvánek, Michal ; Mego, Roman (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The result of this project are complete proposals labs to demonstrate theoretical knowledge in the field of synchronous and asynchronous counters, state machines, combinational circuits and special hazards occurring in combinational logic functions. The project utilized educational system from RC Didactic, whose main advantage is the illustrative proof of the logic circuits and a simple computer application utilized in the analysis of digital and analog circuits. Designe tasks can be involved in a two-hour time limit labs of BICT course.
MCU/ARM application development
Pavlík, Radim ; Mego, Roman (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focus on options of development and development itself of aplications for ARM microcontrolers in united enviroment Mbed and it contains a set of solved samples programs, which should serve as familirization with this subject.
PC oscilloscope – hardware part
Mego, Roman ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor`s thesis is to design and construct a device, which will be used as oscilloscope and logic analyzer. This document contains a basic list of attributes of oscilloscopes, which are used in designing. In the next part of document, block diagram is shown, which is analyzed by functional blocks to the circuit diagram. Third part of the document describes, algorithm for controlling and data capturing. The end of the document is dealing with realization of hardware and software parts.
Software for the analysis of the remote-reading of the meters
Přívětivý, Radek ; Tříska, Martin (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
There are describes the principles of remote meter reading in the home and components of smart grids for reading these meters in the first part of master’s thesis. The next part of the thesis contains description of standard Wireless M-Bus and ZigBee. The next chapter is description of the circuit Realtek RTL2832U, which is part of the selected tuner. Another part is devoted to basic description of modulation focusing on the angle modulation – FM, FSK. In the final part is a detailed description of the received signal. AES encryption and created software.
Control unit for garden pool
Jansa, Josef ; Matěj,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
This work deals with the regulation of the water temperature in a small garden pool. The practical part consists of practical design control unit garden pool which is based on knowledge of the ambient air temperature and the temperature of the solar panel, evaluates and controls the filtration pump bypass valve and solar panel. Temperature sensing is done using digital sensors DS18B20 more 1-Wire bus. The control unit is formed by 2x4 matrix keyboard keys. All data are displayed on the alphanumeric display 2x16 characters. Control element is a microcontroller Atmel ATmega 3250PA. Furthermore, discussed in this thesis is data transfer using Bluetooth module.
RFID based access system in rooms
Mego, Roman ; Michal, Vratislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The master’s thesis aims to design an access control system using the RFID technology. The system should reduce security risks associated with its use. While working on project two devices were created. First is the access terminal operating on frequency of 13.56 MHz and second is the RFID reader for PC operating at frequency 125 kHz. Software for devices was created as well as system control application for PC. The document contains an overview of the RFID principles and possibility of implementation access control system. Next part of the project describes in detail step by step the process of designing electrical circuit for system parts. Last part talks about realized software, libraries which are used and the system control application for PC.
