Rendering Complex 3D Scenes
Mrkvička, Tomáš ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with representation of large and complex 3D scenes which are usually used by modern computer games. Main aim is design and implementation of data driven rendering system. Proper rendering is directed (driven) by scene description. This description is also designed with respect to scene creators whose typically do not have deep knowledge of programming languages in contrast to game programming developers. First part is focused on design of efficient scene description and its possible applications at scene rendering. Second part is focused on proper system implementation. Finally, consequently important system optimizations are mentioned too.
Database Archive of Image Medical Data
Sára, Vítězslav ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This Thesis deals with the problems of medical image data management. It analyzes a metadata extraction problem from medical format DICOM and their efficient saving. System is designed as a client-server application. System provides an interface for DICOM data storing, interface for searching, data editing and exporting. System cooperatives with the collaborative system VCE. Implementation was carried out in C++ and PHP language with support of SQLite and MySQL database.
Identification of epileptogenic neocortical areas by analysis of spatial distribution of interictal discharges
Janča, R. ; Kršek, P. ; Ježdík, P. ; Čmejla, R. ; Tomášek, M. ; Elišák, M. ; Jefferys, J. G. R. ; Jahodová, A. ; Komárek, V. ; Marusič, P. ; Jiruška, Přemysl
Algorithm utilizing principal component analysis was developed to analyze spatial distribution of interictal epileptiform discharges. This technique enables to seaprate interictal discharges into functionally significant clusters. Cluster properties can be used to identify epileptogenic components of the irritative zone
MORPHOLOGICAL CLUSTERING OF INTERICTAL EPILEPTIFORM DISCHARGES IN INTRACRANIAL ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY
Vlk, Pavel ; Janča, R. ; Čmejla, R. ; Kršek, P. ; Marusič, P. ; Jiruška, Přemysl
To improve the localizing yield of interictal discharges, identification of specific features of the discharges generated only within epileptogenic region is required. We have developed self-clustering algorithm which discriminates distinct populations of interictal epileptiform discharges according to the morphology of their waveforms. Results demonstrate the ability of the algorithm to separate interictal epileptiform discharges according to their morphological features
Akustic analysis of male vocal tract for Czech vowels
Dedouch, K. ; Švec, J. G. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kršek, P. ; Havlík, R. ; Vokřál, J.
The paper describes finite element models of male vocal tract designed from magnetic resonance images taken during phonation of all Czech vowels. First three formants calculated by frequency-modal analysis of the FE models are in good agreement with the data known from the Czech Phonetics.
Acoustic modal analysis of male vocal tract for Czech vowels
Dedouch, K. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Vampola, T. ; Švec, J. G. ; Kršek, P. ; Havlík, R.
Acoustic frequency-modal characteristics of six finite element models of a male vocal tract are presented and analysed. The FE models correspond to the vocal tract geometries for the Czech vowels /a/, /e/, /i/, /o/, /u/ and /y/ were obtained using the magnetic resonance imaging technique. The computed results of the acoustaic modal analysis are in a reasonable agreement with the data on formants known form the Czech phonetic literature.
Design of finite element models of male vocal tract
Dedouch, K. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Vampola, T. ; Kršek, P. ; Švec, J. G.
Two types FE models of vocal tract are presented. The geometry of supraglottal space, which corresponds to the English vowels was modelled fiest. However, the design of the model was very laborious thus a new procedure for direct transformation of the **ta from MRI to the finite element model was developed. Acoustic characteristics of the FE models are compared.
Voxel model creation of human tissues from CT and MRI data for biomechanical applications
Nagy, Ivan ; Husták, Josef ; Kršek, P.
Our report is concerned with data converting from medical body scanners such as CT and MRI into computer systems of FEM for biomechanical and medical applications. It also includes an overview of basic steps of our algorithm as image segmentation based on edge detectors and active contours, transformation of raster type data to vector data by a marching cubes method.
