Wireless Remote Control of Railway Model
Chlupová, Hana ; Kováčik, Michal (referee) ; Tříska, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of wireless control of model railways. At the system level, the model railway and trains are managed by application running on a PC. The project consists of two modules for train control, one module for railway control and application controlling the entire system. Both modules communicate wirelessly with a PC by Bluetooth technology. The block schemes and designs of circuits were designed, and then the circuits were realized. I have implemented the PC application, which allows users to view and control model railway and its elements.
Materials for space technology
Bačová, Alena ; Tříska, Václav (referee) ; Petrásek, Miloslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis is dealing with an analysis of materials used for space technology. The thesis is divided into eight main parts. The first part defines space technology. The second part introduces the issue of designing satellites and planning the space mission. The third part describes the effects of the environment on space technology before launch, during launch and flight, in space, and during atmospheric entry. The fourth part introduces the most used standards in Europe for the space industry. The fifth part analyses materials and their application in the space industry. The sixth part provides an overview of aerospace materials tests. The seventh part analyse processes and damage of material during and after the impact of a small object. The last part is devoted to the preliminary design of the device for a more accurate analysis of the behaviour of the material during the impact of a small object.
Adhesion of PVD Coatings on Surface of Small Arm
Joska, Z. ; Rak, L. ; Daniel, Josef ; Horníček, J. ; Tříska, V. ; Nguyen, C.H.
This work deals with the possibility of increasing the utility properties of the functional part of the weapon by deposition of PVD coating. These coatings are widely known for their high hardness and abrasion resistance without affecting the anticorrosion properties. The experimental part evaluates the created duplex coating on the piston of the assault rifle Sa vz. 58. Duplex coating adhesion, surface morphology and coating thickness was evaluated on opto digital microscope Olympus DSX 500. The impact resistance of the coating was evaluated by dynamic impact test. The durability tests of the coatings were carried out during the training of students in the military training. The results showed the application of PVD coating significantly reduced piston head wear and increased user comfort in the form of shortening time of the cleaning and maintenance process after firing.
Design of the six seat helicopter with one turboshaft engine
Nasibullin, Bulat ; Tříska, Václav (referee) ; Petrásek, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to develop a preliminary design of a six-seat helicopter with a turboshaft engine. The preliminary design of the helicopter consists of processing statistical data on similar helicopters, which are then, based on the specified requirements, used to estimate the basic weight parameters of the helicopter, the main geometric parameters and to determine the type and power of the propulsion unit. It consists of calculations of basic geometric parameters of the aircraft and engine selection. Part of another solution is the aerodynamic calculation of the supporting rotor, from which both the performance of the helicopter in suspension and in forward flight flow. In a special part of the project, the attention is paid to the system of balancing the reaction torque, in this case fenestrone and the solution is supplemented by some specific means installed on the tail beam, which help to balance the reaction torque and improve the directional control parameters of the helicopter.
Simple Remote Signalling of PLC Systems
Kacálek, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Tříska, Vít (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design and manufacture of hardware and software facilities used for the demonstration of communication with PLC systems. Furthermore, this paper summarizes the possibilities of communication and partially implements the MODBUS protocol via RS485 serial line. The hardware device is fabricated on the PCB and the components commonly available in electronics stores. Includes LCD display and LEDs for status display PLC system. The software application is written in Java and implements the same functionality as the hardware device.
Acceleration of Burrows-Wheeler Transform Using GPU
Iša, Radek ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This paper presents accelerating of burrows-wheeler transform using graphic cards. Present this acceleration with commpression method. This program is written in C language with extension of CUDA toolkit syntax.
Acceleration of Data Compression with Parallel Architectures
Juránek, Luboš ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of parallel architectures, in particular the GPU, for acceleration of selected lossless compression algorithms, based on a statistical method, and transformations, which change the entropy of the input data to achieve better compression ratio. In this work there are in theory summarized general information about parallel architectures and programming options for them, mainly using NVIDIA CUDA and OpenCL.
Fire Combustion Control System Based on Lambda Probe
Bartoš, Lukáš ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The bachelors thesis deals with a design of automatic regulation of biomass combustion in fireplaces by lambda probe. The probe measures residual amount of oxygen during the combustion and the measured value influences the efficiency of combustion process and harmful emissions which are emitted into the air. The first part of the thesis is focused onto a theoretical analysis of the proces of combustion and the effects which influence efficiency and emissions. The second part concerns the description and the use of necessary components for automatical combustion regulation. The third part deals with a pratical test which confirms or declines the possibility of regulation by measurement of residual amount of oxygen. The fourth part follows up with a design of a regulation algorithm and its implementation. The fifth part evaluates past tests and suggests a procedure for production.
Evaluation of Chosen Tree Search Methods
Tříska, Vít ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Honzík, Jan M. (advisor)
A function to search is widely used operation in all possible forms. Recent developments show increasing importance of far more effective search methods. That is why this work deals with an evaluation of the fastest search methods at present time, namely AVL tree, red-black tree, splay tree and skip list. Moreover, it tries to recommend them for their correct usage. A supplementary goal of this thesis is to create a learning tool (study aid), which would facilitate better understanding of pitfalls of each individual search method.
Utilization of Burrows-Wheeler Transformation for Data Compression
Sokl, Karel ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Košař, Vlastimil (advisor)
Everyone can get into a situation when it is necessary to reduce the size of some file. For that purpose there are many compress algorithms. But how to choose the right one? In this work is tested efficiency of some of lossless compression  algorithms focusing on Burrows-Wheeler transform. Then results are compared with the program bzip2.
