Occurrence of woman cervical cancer in South Bohemian Region.

Cervical cancer represents an enormous health, psychological and social stress for every woman. The most important risk factor in the development of cervical carcinoma, which the second most common malignant cancer in women, is infection with a high-risk strain of human papillomavirus - a very frequent sexually transmitted disease. More than 100 types of HPV are acknowledged to exist, with HPV 16 and 18 being classified as high-risk types in particular. Worldwide, 500,000 new cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed every year. In the Czech Republic, there are 1,000 new cases of cervical cancer each year, out of which up to 400 women die. It is estimated that there will be up to 1,000,000 new cases of cervical cancer by 2050 unless the prevention is improved. Every woman is at risk of developing cervical cancer. HPV is sexually transmitted, however not only by sexual intercourse but also by skin-to-skin-contact with infected areas. Other risk factors in the development of the disease are: first sexual intercourse at early age, the number of sexual partners, smoking, other sexually transmitted diseases and a long term use of hormonal contraception. Use of condoms, which protects against sexually transmitted diseases, reduces the transmission of HPV by up to 70%. Having regular gynaecological check-ups with Pap smears is crucial for cervical cancer screening, as the screening suggests the presence of cytological abnormalities and pre-cancer. However, it cannot detect all types of premalignant changes and early stages of the carcinoma. Two vaccines have recently been developed, effective against the most frequent oncogenic strains of HPV (16 and 18), which currently cause about 70% of cervical cancer cases. Active immunisation against human papillomavirus is the first vaccination against carcinoma. Together with screening, it represents the best prevention method against cervical carcinoma. Based on the research of technical literature, the first part of the dissertation gives an overall view of the issue of cervical carcinoma. The second part of the dissertation deals with the research, eliciting the knowledge and attitude of women from Southern Bohemian towns in the field of cervical carcinoma prevention in the period of December 2008 - March 2009 and comparing it to technical literature.

Strategic Analysis of Family brewery BERNARD, a.s.

The aim of my diploma thesis is to process a strategic analysis of the Family brewery BERNARD, a.s. with using of selected methods of internal and external analysis. I will characterize the strengths and weaknesses of the internal company environment, business opportunities and environmental threats. I will compare the competitive position of the monitored company with its competitive companies in the market. I will elaborate the financial analysis of the brewery for the period 2007, 2008 and 2009 by calculating some profitability ratios, activities and debt. Based on the evaluation of the company according selected methods of strategic analysis, I will outline the business strategy and recommendations for its further development.

Čipová karta jako elektronický identifikátor pojištěnce v ČR a EU.

This diploma work analytically examines data resources and conditions for the implementation of an electronic identifier for an insured person in the Czech Republic with relation to the Europian Union. It describes the concept of a single electronic identification method and the possibilities for the utilization of different technologies and extreme situations that may arise in connection with the deficiencies of the judicial code, that would clearly work manipulation with the personal data, its security and access to it. Here compared in this work are the merits and disadvantages of the implementation or adversely the non-implementation of the electronic identifier via a cost-benetfit analysis that gives an answer to the economic question about the implementation of the project, and also describes the benefits for each group of beneficiaries.

The aim of this work is the objective findings of financial analysis company Valeo Compressor Europe Ltd. for the three preceding years. Make vertical and horizontal analysis of the balance sheet and income statement in order to assess the activities listed companies in terms of efficiency, comparison of calculated data and identify the reasons for different results. Based on the assessment of the financial results to take measures to improve the position of the company in the future.

Mezinárodní marketing sítě Bosch Car Service v České republice

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou přechodu servisní sítě Bosch Car Service v České republice na franchisingový řetězec, analyzuje jednotlivé prvky franchisového balíku. Cílem práce je identifikovat hlavní problémové oblasti tohoto procesu a navrhnout možnosti jejich řešení. Významným nástrojem pro kladné přijetí této změny partnery je účinná komunikační strategie firmy Bosch, jejíž jednotlivé prvky práce rozebírá.
