Measurement of DVB-T transmission over simulated fading channel

The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is to study basic functional elements of coder and modulator of standart DVB-T. Another goal is to study documentation of DVB-T modulator DTA-110T and ASI/SDI adapter DTA-145 by DekTec. Also is described software channel simulator DTC-305 and parameter settings of simulated fading channel. Fading channels are measured and assigned their effect on quality of received DVB-T signal.

Error Analysis in Measurements on the MPEG-2 TS Digital TV Transmision

This essay shows up the monitoring and error measuring in transportation stream MPEG-2 TS during the digital TV broadcat recieving accordingly to the DVB standard. There are DVB definitions and standards for transportation stream transmition, decoding conditions and service informations chart described in the introduction of this essay. The measuring decoder R&S DVMD has been used for experimental measuring in the laboratory. This decoder enables long-time monitoring and automatized errors evaluation of particular priorities. The processed results of DVB-T multiplex 1 and 2 and DVB-S, paket CS link, TV broadcat recieving are the part of this essay as well.

Audio ADC and DAC for laboratory measurements

This paper describes the design of a laboratory equipment to demonstrate the influence of the sampling frequency and quantization errors on converter. Part of this work is to select appropriate ADC and DAC along with control microprocessor. The proposal contains other functional blocks such as analog input and output filters, LCD display and controls. It deals also with the design of software solutions to control and signal processing.

Intelligent charger for Pb accumulators

This bachelor project deals with lead accumulator charging. The properties of this acumulator charger are described here and the best possible way of charging has been based on these properties. The capacity of the accumulators has also been taken into account. The charger itself is able to distinguish between the twelve-volt and the six-volt accumulator. The charger prevents accumulators from overcharging and does not charge damaged ones.It also contains the protection against reversing polarity. The project contains complete scheme, DSP layout, lists of components and their placement on the DPS. The design of the transformator suitable for the charger is also included.

RF channel simulation in the MATLAB environment

Subject of this thesis is elemental description of DVB digital television and digitalization process of its terrestrial transmission according to DVB-T standard. The thesis characterizes in detail RF transmission channels used for wireless distribute of television. These channels ale mathematically described and their effect to OFDM signal is simulated in the MATLAB environment. It was created application with graphical user interface by this environment. Using simple setting of DVB-T and transmission channel parameters in the application user can simulate selective fading. Results of simulations with various settings are compared and analysed.

Simulation of the HVS characterstics in Matlab

In theoretical part Diploma thesis deals with the model of human vision HVS (Human Visual System), which can be used for image quality assessment in TV technique area. It has been described calculations of selected JND (Just Noticeable Difference) metrics, used in evaluation of HVS. In practical part of the thesis it has been suggested and realized simulation model in Matlab, which may be used for evaluation of three JND metrics from color and grayscale images and evaluation in spatial a frequency domain. Results of JND models have been compared to another objective image quality evaluation metrics (MSE, NMSE, SNR and PSNR). For interpretation of dependencies it has been used images with different defined content.

Analysis of the transmission in the mobile digital video broadcasting DVB-T2 Lite and NGH

This master thesis is focused on description of the standards for mobile and portable receive of a digital television broadcast DVBT2Lite and DVBNGH. In MATLAB has been developed an application simulator with adjustable parameters of the transmitter and transmission channel. Application shows the constellation diagram of the received signal, resultant bit error and frequency characteristic of transmission channel. In this thesis are discussed simulation results with measured results from different simulation scenarios.

Transmission analysis and measurements in digital television DVB-S/S2

This master’s theses consists of theoretical introduction which includes basic search of referenced literature about digital television systems and picture quality classification. The results of signal character measurement of selected TV channels from satellites ASTRA 1E (DVB-S) and ASTRA 1L (DVB-S2) are provided. The energy budget calculation of downlink and results of 24-hour TS error rate measurement is included as well. The video quality by DVQL metric for each particular program of CS link stream was measured during full 24 hours.

Active studio speakers

This bachelor's thesis deals with problematics of low frequency amplifiers in D class and their usage in active bi-amp speaker systems. It also deals with construction of so called band crossovers, made using digital signal processors (DSP) that are used as high and low pass filters, and with construction of speaker boxes itself. This work contains simulations of power supply, preamplifier with crossover and volume regulation and power amplifier in app PSpice and simulation of speakers in app Amplion. The draft of an overall diagram can be seen in block scheme and further in schematics of separate modules.
