Transducer Systems and Their Applications
Boros, Adrián ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis introduces a new variant of translation devices. We propose a new formal model based on the interconnection of several cooperating pushdown transducers. This new model is called transducer system. The principle of operation of these systems is similar to the cooperating distributed (CD) grammar systems, enabling a cooperation of several grammar over a common sentential form. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the computational power of this formal model. The main result is an application that converts arithmetic expressions from infix to postfix notation.
Parsing Based on Automata with Deep Pushdowns
Pločicová, Dominika ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
Language is a basic means of communication. Formal languages provide the basis for human-computer communication. The aim of this work is to contribute to this area and analyze the possibility of processing the context-sensitive elements of formal languages. The work includes the theoretical description of state grammar and deep pushdown automaton, which is a model of a parser for languages including context-sensitive elements. It describes an algorithm that can convert the state grammar to the said deep pushdown automaton. The work further describes parsing, its methods and the use of the created automaton in performing the syntax analysis. For a better understanding, the work also includes examples of the creation and operation of the automaton. Finally, the work describes the implementation of a program that performs theoretically described activities. The functionality of the program was verified on examples, whose inputs and outputs are also part of the text of the work.
Intuition and vacuum of film imaging
Krůček, Václav ; Svatoňová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Petříček, Miroslav (referee) ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee)
My PhD thesis explores impacts of the specific moments of film within the context of its ontological potential. It follows forms of intervention into stability and continuity of visual re-presentation, which may induce intuition of the new. The opening chapters are devoted to the image "in itself", presented as duration of a "self-modulating" shot, whose apparent stillness initiates (with participation of sound) the pressure of off-screen field. The relationship of visible and sensible is considered from this point as initiation of impulses and changes immanent to film recording, as examined in subsequent arguments. Presented shots in these cases not only fulfill its narrative function by means of pictorial representation, but act concurrently as movement of elementary structures in time, as Gilles Deleuze points out. Based on references to his reflections, the following chapters expand on topics that analyze factors, partaking in possible initiation of intuition: effects of sequential processes of difference and repetition in film images, their rhythm, duration, elementarization, refraction and disappearance. Sudden occurences and persistence of these processes are demonstrated in film examples, where intuition departs medium and unfolds reality beyond film.
Electoral volatility in European Parliament Elections in V4 Countries: 2004-2019
Mertlík, Arnošt ; Linek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on changes in voting behaviour among voters in the Visegrad Group states (V4), specifically electoral volatility between the European Parliament elections and the national elections in the particular state. The approach to examining electoral volatility in this work is based on the second-order national elections theory, which divides elections into less and more important ones. The aim of the work is first to describe the overall electoral volatility in the V4 states in a cross-section of all European elections based on individual data from post-election questionnaire surveys. Subsequently, I find out what are the specific causes and motivations for changes in electoral behaviour. The analysis shows that there are several different patterns of volatile behaviour in the V4 countries, but the consistent and general pattern is a high degree of electoral demobilisation in the European elections. This may be due to political attitudes or the level of trust in the European institutions. I then analyze voters' demobilization among government and opposition voters, who differ mainly in their views of the national political situation. Keywords Electoral volatility, vote switching, electoral behaviour, second-order national election theory, European Parliament elections,...
Facelift PDU
Tomoryová, Bianka ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is an architectural study of the forecourt of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. The project is based on a pre-diploma project which aimed to develop an urban concept. At the moment the buildings in the area are in an unsuitable condition from a construction - technical and architectural perspective. The urban-architectural study was intended to create a new concept for the forecourt and simultaneously enable its efficient operation in case of the completion of a new nuclear unit. The concept of the solution is based on the removal of outdated buildings and their replacement with new buildings which will meet the current requirements of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. From the current layout the main roads, the gatehouse, the information center and the greenery will be preserved. After removing the selected buildings, the renovation area will be divided into the main axes on which the main road network will be designed. The unsuitable connection to public road infrastructure will be solved by minimizing the entrances to the area to two entrances and by moving the suburban bus station from the main road. After connecting the whole area by roads, the area will be divided into functional areas. In front of the gatehouse there will be a square surrounded by public services, an administrative building and by the preserved information center building. From this space, the main representative space of the entire complex will be created. Warehouses and workshops will be located behind the square. Transport areas will be located at the rear of the complex. Thanks to this location, there will be a good connection with the current factory and also with the planned completion of the new nuclear unit on the west of the area. There will also be educational and sport facilities in the complex. The kindergarten will be oriented towards the preserved greenery.

The master thesis deals with the facelift of the forecourt of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station . This space consists of supporting functions for the main working such as administrative, metrology, stocks, cloakrooms and services. There is also the station for the buses, which carry employees to and from work, the regular bus station and parking lots. The forecourt of the power station is now inconvenient from a functional point of view, because the capacity of the existing buildings and parking lots is insufficient; and also from aesthetic point of view, because the buildings from 70’s don’t look good anymore, the parking consists of the large asphalt areas and there is no representative anteroom in front of the main entry, which should be there in view of the significance of the power station. In the study I deal with these problems by the complex reconstruction of the area, I replace the huge asphalt parking lots with the parking houses, create the administrative zone with the public place in front of the main entry to the plant, extend the capacities for the particular functions and add the new required functions (kindergaten, other services). The result of this conversion is the area with the particular functional zones with the representative forecourt in front of the main entry and with the enough space for each of the functions. This work follows up the last semester urbanist-architectonic study. The diploma thesis focus on the improvements of the weaker parts of the prime study and on the elaboration of the architectural study of the adminstrative zone with services.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the elaboration of an architectural study of the reconstruction of the pre-plant zone of the Facelift of the Dukovany power plant. The construction site is an area that belongs to the village of Dukovany and borders the village of Rouchovany. As a whole, this area is in poor technical and architectural condition. However, its location gives potential for new uses. The solved area belongs to the ČEZ nuclear power plant.
Regulated Syntax-Directed Translation
Dvořák, Tomáš ; Kocman, Radim (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis deals with formal and syntax directed translation. This thesis contains theoretical part, which defines regular, context free, context sensitive and recursively enumerable languages a grammar. There are given examples of grammars which are able to generate languages that are not context free. Covered by this thesis are matrix grammars, random context grammars and programed grammars. Researched are also finite, pushdown, deep and regular automata, transducers and their part within format syntax directed translation. This project also defines regular transducers based as regulated automata. Thesis defines regulated methods of syntax analysis based on predictive parsers. These methods cover analysis of studied regulated grammars. The final part of this thesis describes new language capable of effective description of these grammars and compiler producing parser code for these grammars written in this new language and their graphical analyzer.
Development of the labor and education market according to contemporary social and futurological sciences
Holek Převorovská, Michaela ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee)
: The thesis focuses on the topic of the future of education and labor markets, which follows through the perspective of two scientific perspectives - social sciences and futurological sciences. The aim is to describe the view of these two disciplines on the future development of these two specific markets and to map the expected scenarios of the future development. The view of both disciplines is presented through qualitatively elaborated professional periodicals. The main topic addressed by the authors of both scientific disciplines was the impact of technological progress on the future of the labor markets and changes in the disappearance and creation of jobs. Another important element is connectivity and sharing. They enable modern digital platforms, information, procedures, education, overcome time and space constraints, and can be used by anyone with access to the necessary technology. Keywords: education, labour market, professes, skills, images of the future, modernization, development
